Thank god for your video. Never ever had a issue with my f350 until today. Did the neutral thing. Started right up. Minus 25 right now in Canada. FML. Thank you man. 💯💯💯💯💯💯
2006 F350 Dually for two months i put up with random no crank, no start and stalling. Checked fuses, relays, installed new ignition and ignition switch. Still shit after watching your video it works great. Thank you so much
This is the second time one of your videos really saved my butt. A few times in the last couple weeks I couldn't get the truck in park and it actually rolled on me. It happened to me this afternoon and me being lazy didn't do anything about it. I pulled into my driveway and it completely felt like something broke and I couldn't get the truck in park. Looked up your video went underneath and saw both bolts were loose and one on the bottom the head broke off. Before I looked at your video I thought to myself great now I need a tow and I'm going to probably miss some work tomorrow morning. But a quick trip to tractor supply got the right bolt and I'm back on the road. Thanks again man keep up the good work.
This helped me tremendously! My 02 7.3 started doing this a few months ago and this video diagnosed it perfectly and provide the right fix! The shifter feels so much tighter, thank you!!
Dude…. Thanks for sharing this. The loose shifter problem has been plaguing us on our 2001 Excursion for quite a while. You saved me a trip to the stealership! Three minute fix!!
Dude, you just saved my life. I replaced my starter thinking that was the problem but to no avail, I was ready to call NAPA and call it a lemon and request a new one, but I looked it up and found this. You are a true life saver.
Amazing...I replaced the starter relay because I was convinced that was the issue, still didn’t work, put it in neutral and started right up...came across your video and in 3 min and a little loctite, it fired right up . Thank you for helping this electrical idiot out!
We were hauling a horse and stopped in the rain, truck wouldn’t start back up. It only made a click, watched this video, tightened the torques, and off we went. Thank you for this video!
I tried this for the first time and what a simple fix....thank u so much kindly...God bless u. 'I got the locktite and what a great and easy fix...the mechanics must hate u...LOL.. You are our savior
My 99 F250 Super Duty just starting doing this a couple days ago. Thanks for the video, saved me a lot time. Don't have the locktite right now but can get it later. Great video!
Man thank you very very much, I had called a couple of places to check it out everybody wanted $70-100 just to check it out, because of your video I was able to do it in less then 10 minutes. Thanks again.
Thank you for posting this video! I had a no start issue with no crank and after checking the starter fuse, I checked the l-bracket for the shifter lever and sure enough, the two t-30 torx bolts were loose. I tightened them up and it started right up along with the lever feeling way more solid. Thank you!!!
Thank you. I'm going to try this tomorrow. I pulled the starter and had it tested at Auto Zone and it passed. Don't want to get stuck somewhere pulling my horse trailer. Thank you so much!
Ive been fighting no start for 9 months. $ wasted on starter switch and starter sol. My 2 bolts were loose. Nobody in shops know this chronic item. Thanks! Thanks! Buying shirt is this the best way to support your channel?
Very helpful! Just fixed this today. One of my bolts was missing the head. There is an electrical connector to the lower left of the steering column that is held using two of the same torx bolts. Use one of those and replace it later.
Wow what an easy fix! I cant tell you how many times I crawled under the steering column and never noticed the 2 screws loose. I had it fixed in 2 minutes. Thanks for such an informative video!!
FordTechMakuloco: I've got an E 350 cube truck that won't start in park. Could the shifter bracket be loose or is the range selector switch acting up? your reply is appreciated.
I have a 1993 Lincoln town car and did this exact fix the screws were loose and only had to take the first panel off it was easy to do . Thank you so much the car shifts great and no more playing to start .i took one at a time and put lock tight and reassemble it big expensive repair Ina garage thanks again ps use a 30 star. On at least a 9 in extension you need room for two hands
Great video. I’ve got a 2002 Sport Trac. Had the same issue except won’t start in Neutral or Park. Messed with linkage a few times then, it started. Replaced the neutral safety switch then it was fine until recently and back to the same problem. I haven’t checked these bolts yet but, if the bolts are tight any idea what else it may be? Thanks in advance.
Thanks for the video. Only had my 2000 superduty for a couple weeks now. It has only not started a few times, but now I can't get it not to start in park.
Going out to check in the morning ,,, been trying to get this running all day , got a no start no crank , no code ,,, after replacing my turbo yesterday .....
My truck wouldn't start this afternoon after I parked somewhere. I checked the fuses and alternator, but then I checked the shifter and it was not lined up with Park. I moved the shifter closer to the P and it finally started.
HALLELUJAH! super easy I love it. Thank YOU. I had a hard time hitting park meaning the truck would ROLL if I didn't pay close attention. Thank you thank you thank you. I live in the mountains.
I have a 2006 Ford F-53 V-10 chassis on my Motorhome. The air intake has a yellow dust cover or sock on it. I was recently told that it is a dust cover they put on and should be taken off by the jobber? Mine has been on for years...do i take it off?
Worked like a charm on my Ford F350 Super Duty tiny house on wheels. T27 torx instead of the T30. Saved me a mechanics bill and most likely the cost of a new neutral safety switch that doesn't need to be replaced.
Wow thank you so much 😊 happened for first time today after got off work where didn’t crank in park I check my battery voltage then thought maybe the key assembly actuator or whatever’s it called then luckily thought to try in neutral an it started fine and was able to drive home but now I have an idea what to check I’ll know soon
Awesome and thank you for sharing. I just fixed mine in the parking lot in 30 seconds, oh ok a minute or two because I had to dig in my toolbox to find the star head bit. Very much appreciated. Hope you are making something off the ads on here or you should be up a fund me or paypal link. Worth it.
Dude! Many thanks. I no longer need to perform ‘shifter yoga’ or cast a spell to start the truck! Also each gear selection feels positive and slop is gone. Literal 5 min fix.
have a problem with my ford 2003 excursion DRI veing 65 than lost power 20 mpg people say it was alt but I can't under stand that what do you think no gas peddle power at all had to let it sit than she was driven g again
Hi how are you, Can you change out the pistons from under the oil pan, on a 4.6l 2 valvle PI Heads V8 on a 2004 F150 New Style. A thread tool the exact size of the journal has siezed to the hole... I have tried everything from Tungsten and Carbide to the Titanium HSS trying not to pull the head.
I got 1999 expedition I can start it first try ride it around. But when I shut it off it won't start just vlick once radio and everything works. What could be the problem
My 2000 E250 seems a great candidate for this but I can't get under there to even see this area much less get a tool in there. Is my van different or am I just too old to twist like a pretzel to get under there?
Will this work on a 1995 f250 7.3 powerstroke? Starts fine in neutral, but when we start in park sounds like it's " caming " but neutral is just fine ? Thanks
My 2001 Expedition is doing this. Please forgive me real quick, were you turning off the truck right after it started? I wasn't able to hear a running truck.
I have a 1996 Ford Aerostar with 3.0 engine that won't start. No crank, no 12 volts on the signal wire at the fender mount solenoid. My gear selector indicator is broken. I have 12.62 volts on the battery, clean connections. Got a used Solenoid from the salvage yard installed it on the weekend because the other one was kind of weak when I tested it. The clicks were weak and no clicks at all times, I don't have schematics for this vehicle, can you point me in the right direction , thank you for your expertise.
My power cuts out while driving stalls out and something in neutral will crank and turn on but usually have to pull over and try a lot. New battery gas and case reader pulls no codes still won't turn. Can you help
Ok what if like on my 01 F150 those two bolts have stripped out and broken off the housing where bolts thread into to hold L shaped bracket in place?? How can I rig something up to start truck? I can shift it in and out of gear by hand by pulling linkage cable that’s not a problem! I just need to start the truck!! H E L P!!

any tips on cutting an 05 grill to fit an 00? or aligning the 05 front bumper to an 00? seems to be a problem I'm seeing repeatedly.
Could that also cause issues with the starter not engaging fully because of intermittent connection?
My 2001 ford F 350 had same issue. It wouldn't start even in neutral. This fixed it.
I got 1999 expedition I can start it first try ride it around. But when I shut it off it won't start just vlick once radio and everything works. What could be the problem
Do you have a video replacing the lower shifter bracket all together?
