    Seeing Se7en on IMAX this past Saturday was an unforgettable experience. Happy 30 years to one of the greatest, if not THE greatest, crime thriller of all!

    Nothing could beat the feeling of seeing this for the first time in the theater. The bass rumbling through your body, you knew you were in for a sick twisted movie.

      My son is watching it for the 1st time. I told him about how I saw it in the theatre and I was not expecting THAT beginning. It just sets the tone!!

    These sort of scratchy, grainy, old film style openings are really common place now with horror movies and thrillers, but this is the first time I remember seeing anything like this, and its still the best.

      As someone who bought the Closer remixes album before actually seeing this movie at a high school sleepover, I was so hyped to hear this intro. It's basically a chopped version of the Precursor remix laid on top of itself in order to be shorter, and without most of the words. I think they did a fantastic job of it!

    I can't tell you guys how excited I was when I heard that the director of Se7en was doing Zodiac. I mean, David Fincher just kills it with these creepy serial killer movies.

      Have you seen the show on Netflix called MindHunter? Fincher did that. It's about where ther term serial killer actually came from. It's an amazing show.

      and we never even see any of his kills...don't need to..my imagination was on steroids for those! this is why reading books are more intense.. its when things aren't shown but explained.. it really gets under your skin cuz u think about it but don't want to...the mental train wreck effect

    Still remember the night I saw Seven with my best friend. From the beginning with this intro credit which was sooo cool and something moviegoers hadn't seen before. The dark and graphicly distorted, grainy and roughed up film intro just blew my 15 year old mind away and was just perfect start of a great movie. Never seen anything as dark before. Next schoolday I was raving about it in my class.

      Despite the studio wanting to, (because it'd attract more people) Kevin Spacey purposely was never marketed for a better surprise as well as the fact he played 'the bad guy that won' in 'The Usual Suspects' that same year

      Kevin Spacey personally requested that he not be credited at the beginning. His character's identity and appearance remain unknown for most of the film, and he felt having his name credited would undermine the sense of mystery for early viewers when the film was initially released.

    I remembered watching this when I was younger and I was absolutely terrified.
    Now that I'm older, I respect it so much more. One of the best intro credits ever. Sets up the theme for the whole movie. It shows how John Doe sliced his fingertips, how he killed his victims, got rid of evidence, etc. Brilliant.

    The year is 1995 , i´m 21 years old. , i went with my girlfriend to the cinema.. just the Intro was a creepy experience and the final climax " what´s in the Box " terrific ending ! Masterpiece movie that will always be a sweet memory for me...

    It's genius that they didn't put Kevin Spacey's name in the beginning of the credits. It would have spoiled the identity of John Doe, since in the same year, 2 months ago, Spacey played Keyser Soze in The Usual Suspects, so people would expect him to play the killer.

      Awww...c'mon. Who doesn't like a little dried, peeled skin sprinkled on to their dinner?🤷🏻‍♀️ I always wondered what he did with it though. He's twisted enough to be curious about the taste, consistency etc and paranoid enough to want to get rid of it thoroughly so he probably *_did_* eat it.

    Whoever did this is a fucking genius. I love how they find a way to make this disturbing at the same time as showing who John Doe is and who they are up against.

      A lot of filmmakers have copied this style. Dark Knight has a very Seven vibe to it. And that’s where HBO got there dark and gritty vibe from as well.
