Hi George. I am an NCTzen since they debuted. I don’t think Limitless era is that terrible. Lots of very bright sweats and sports clothing. Not fancy, but not awful. They had terrible hair styles, I agree, but the clothes aren’t that bad. Their image was quite edgy since the beginning: wanting to attract the public’s attention.

Oh and by the way even when he is not the center, you can’t help but be attracted to him in a nano second. Taeyong, Kai and Taemin have that power. Their artistry is unique, defined in all they do. Not only for their amazing talent but also for their legendary stylistic choices. They are my 3 top visuals in Kpop. You can see they are in total control of their image.

Doyoung’s look at 2:05 and Mark at 2:19 give me serious 80’s gay club / proto leather daddy vibes maybe with a mix of Freddy Mercury. Well in NCT 127 I have 3 biases: Jaehyun, Yuta and Taeyong, but Doyoung wreckes me :P In this MV I like most Yuta and Taeyong outfits. I like the colors in contrast with hair and details used. Taeyong blond gray hair and black outfit and Yuta dark hair and light outfit. Love them.

Yes! I loved Taeyong’s black outfit too. I also really liked Yuta’s black and white outfit. I think I just love a crisp white shirt with a black tie and jacket. Taeil’s was good too. Okay they were all quite nice. Jaehyun is disqualified because he looks good in everything (except those debut outfits, and let’s not talk about the Limitless era). I love the Yuta appreciation in your reactions, personally I think him and Taeyong carry the team in terms of fashion because they wear everything so well and are a bit more "experimental" than the rest. Also, when you mentioned at the end that they don't have many outfit changes-- You can see during the MV that they make some slight changes like some scenes Taeyong is wearing a light collar with the tan jacket, some others he's wearing a scarf/choker and that small detail can change the vibe without having to do any drastic differences. That's something I've noticed in most of their MVs, sometimes someone will wear the jacket closed and open it for other scenes, or they'll have a plain tshirt underneath for it to be changed into a graphic tee another time and it's so slight but it works so well.

i love how you break down the outfits, it made me appreciate them more!! however, i wouldn't say that the all black outfits are steampunk, since steampunk is inspired by late 1800s fashion and the most prevalent color used is brown, paired with white and muted jewel tones (at least what i have mostly seen)! i'd say that the outfits are very very loosely inspired by industrial goth, but i don't know enough about the different types of goth styles to say for sure, please correct me if i'm wrong. have a good day :D

Hi George. I am an NCTzen since their debut. I don’t think Limitless era (Korean version, the first one out) is that terrible: it’s just lots of very bright, odd sports clothing. They had unexpected hair styles, I agree, but the clothes aren’t that bad. Their image was quite “NEO” since the beginning, wanting to attract the public’s attention (their full name is Neo Culture Technology, thus NCT). I dislike the outfits from Firetruck a bit more, and their haircuts. Still, their looks were unique, very different and interesting, regardless. They are older, and global now, recognizable everywhere, and they can go for more sophisticated fashion statements. Their stylist team create and customize a lot of their pieces, like the racing jackets from Punch era : they were tailored, colored and accessorized for each member individually. They used high tech fabrics that are light and absorb sweat quickly, but are shimmery and have great texture. It wouldn’t surprise me if all these black outfits for Gimme Gimme were also made especially for each of them.
Can you watch BTS Jimin’s MV Filter? Throughout the dance he uses clothes as props off a mannequin and has a few suit color changes. I’d be interested in your opinion.

Omg the pants with the skirts killed meee. I love layering on my editorials and this just gave me lifeee. And also the other outfit kind of gives me like a punk biker/farmer vibe? its so fun, like the leather and the biker accessories mixed with the cow pattern pants and the checkered shirt, the tassels! its so creative because you normally dont think of those 2 styles mixing together so well so props to the stylist definitely. i love how you break down the outfits, it made me appreciate them more!! however, i wouldn't say that the all black outfits are steampunk, since steampunk is inspired by late 1800s fashion and the most prevalent color used is brown, paired with white and muted jewel tones (at least what i have mostly seen)! i'd say that the outfits are very very loosely inspired by industrial goth, but i don't know enough about the different types of goth styles to say for sure, please correct me if i'm wrong. have a good day :D

Hi George. I am an NCTzen since their debut. I don’t think Limitless era (Korean version, the first one out) is that terrible: it’s just lots of very bright, odd sports clothing. They had unexpected hair styles, I agree, but the clothes aren’t that bad. Their image was quite “NEO” since the beginning, wanting to attract the public’s attention (their full name is Neo Culture Technology, thus NCT). I dislike the outfits from Firetruck a bit more, and their haircuts. Still, their looks were unique, very different and interesting, regardless. They are older, and global now, recognizable everywhere, and they can go for more sophisticated fashion statements. Their stylist team create and customize a lot of their pieces, like the racing jackets from Punch era : they were tailored, colored and accessorized for each member individually. They used high tech fabrics that are light and absorb sweat quickly, but are shimmery and have great texture. It wouldn’t surprise me if all these black outfits for Gimme Gimme were also made especially for each of them.
Can you watch BTS Jimin’s MV Filter? Throughout the dance he uses clothes as props off a mannequin and has a few suit color changes. I’d be interested in your opinion.
