Y Gribin ridge

- A new route for me, Y Gribin ridge (Yr wyddfa range) up onto Y Lliwedd. Mostly sheltered from the 50mph winds on the ridge, we had to drop down from the top of Y Lliwedd because it was unsafe. Still a great day, Y Gribin is a superb scramble although quite short.

I'm watching your videos in stages 😆 really interesting and great to watch - I am very limited with walking due to back and knee issues, so watching your videos means I don't completely miss out - not the same experience as you but virtual reality is better than nothing 😂

I climbed DOWN here the other day (haven't found a video doing that yet). Bit scary as i was going down blind with no idea of the route. I went more vertical down rather than follow the ridge ... but only as i didn't know the route. Quite scary but satisfying ... and luckily it was the perfect day!!!
I bet that was tricky, not being able to see footholds. Not sure I'd fancy doing it that way! 😄👍

Looked a great day chaps. Fair play how you approached it. Spent 7 hours around Elan valley in pouring rain and winds. Calf deep water crossings🙄. Looked very atmospheric where you were

Looked like a fun little hike. There were parts that were steep as heck and I would have been nervous climbing up them! The views that you were able to get were fantastic😁Thanks for sharing and I look forward to seeing your other videos.

Thanks, the ridge is not difficult and not much exposure, and if dry there are a few flat spots at the top to camp.👍

Absolute cracker of a day mate. Y Gribin definitely underrated and a fantastic scramble. Glad I managed to drag you out twice in a week, we will go for a triple next 😂

The Y Gribin ridge is in Ogwen. The correct name for the one you did is Gribau, I to call it by the wrong name for years too.
Thanks for the comment. If you check the Snowdon info site (yes, I know its Yr Wyddfa), it says the the ridge is Y Gribin and runs from Glaslyn to Gribau. So maybe we're both right! 😂👍
I had to turn the fire on watching that, too bloody cold and windy for my liking. Have you ever considered staying at home and doing crossword puzzles ?
Yeah, but I was stuck on 7 down, so went for a walk instead. 😂 it wasn’t actually very cold, but the wind at the top was something else. Hopefully we will get some calmer weather soon.. Thanks for watching 👍
