this is a good display of gate guardian, I have to say. especially a fan of the Magicians tech. not really a comment as to what i hate playing against, simply because i imagine my favorite deck that i don't even play very much is a major target of that. i was settled on Runick until the last few months of releases, so im messing with Espirit (Shinobirds), Mikanko, and nouvelles now. Gate guardian and mannadium arriving at once is... kind of odd for me, I like both decks, but im not sure im gonna invest.

They just hit Runick hard with this last ban list with it only being down to one field spell now. It’s pretty much just a secondary strategy now in someone’s deck instead of the primary. Gate guardian is such a cheap build probably the cheapest one out of the bunch. If you are thinking of building one.
@@YugiSmoove i meran, magician's souls is clever to add considering the level of the guardians. basically a free foolish with the ability to get some draw on the side is quite solid in a build like this. As for Runick, the funny thing is im probably still gonna play it pure a fair bit just to try. I love mill, i love how Runick does it, and I know in the OCG Runick "stun" still exists in tournaments occasionally. the difference is im forced to play the hardest stun strats now because pure's grindgame is hinging on one card not getting banished if i even have a chance. I was running some locks, don't get me wrong, but i never had used the major floods in the build, electing for Dimensional fissure, messenger of peace, and Toll hike. so much for that, right? even with 1 fountain being the same in both ocg and MD, theres even more limits on runick in MD, but people got their wish, it's more effective as a level-fixer in hybrid combo builds now than its intended mill grind game. as for Gate Guardian, ill look into the costs and we'll see. I've been needing a fusion deck I actually want to play, and it looks up there. anyway, Ill be keeping an eye on what your up to here. I like this longer form dueling series in general, and your commentary added to it well.
I appreciate the feedback, I was curious on how the community would take to this longer format. I wanted to really showcase the deck against different decks and my thoughts were it would give a better look at what it’s truly capable of and what counters you can do. Thank you for clarifying on the magicians soul strategy, yes it’s definitely a free foolish and can get some draw power. The great thing I’ve noticed about Gate Guardian is you don’t need many cards to really get your top monsters out which is key. I’ve been playing in the duelist cup the last two days and if I do end up not being able to get out the Gate Guardian turn one I can get out two level 7s and go into my link plays to hold me over until the next turn generally. I definitely understand your thoughts on Runick, it’s always satisfying from someone who doesn’t play Runick when I actually beat them lol 😂. Have a great day ahead.
@@YugiSmoove i know there's people out there who show off deck samples, but your style is different, and I like that. I have them for laughs or music picks, but you handle the battle commentary well. yeah, there seems to be some solid redudancy in gate guardian, just because of how the deck can work from a fair few zones effectively, even if just to get the boss monster online. consistency is the kind of thing I like. it also helps a lot of the expensive cards in the build that are not staples are part of precon decks, so the price is easier to put together. before this i was going to do Dual avatar for a throw together fusion deck to handle that line of missions. if this works, thats fine. i was excited to see this deck. Speaking of, I tried my hand a few pulls since crafting what was just unbanned in Zoodiac was a better option for me on that end, and i got treated pretty well. tri-visas, a prime-heart, a combined, and a pair of water and thunders. not to far off! You have a great day as well!

I just did a duel a few moments ago I’m going to title that video “NEVER SURRENDER | Gate Guardian Never Stops Fighting | Master Duel” It took over ten turns and the opponent got out every single monster in his extra deck and I still won 🏆😂. Definitely keep me updated on which build you decide to run with and if you have your MD code I’ll add you on there to my friends list as well so we can run some duels.
Keeper of dragon magic can be a good card. It can search fusion deployment. To activate its effects, you must discard 1 card, which can be either the gate guardian magic or the trap. From there, you can banish the magic/trap and get suijin/sanga or the other one (forgot the name). Dunno how many cards (keeper of dragon magic) i would run with your decklist, though.
That’s a fantastic idea, I just made another video called “Never Surrender With New Gate Guardian in Master Duel” it’s uploading now and I was talking about taking out Ash and adding a different card I was debating Fusion deployment but I like the tech of Keeper of Dragon Magic. I’ll run a few duels with it and let you know how it’s going. Thank you!
