The Amatola Hiking Trail l South Africa's Toughest Trail

The Amatola is a one-way 5-day, 6-night, 100km and +/- 5000 vertical gain hiking trail in the Hogsback area of the Eastern Cape in South Africa.
The trail is currently well looked after by Amatola Trails, and we had a great time staying at Away with the Fairies Backpackers. We prefer a rustic, authentic, and real experience when hiking. The idea is after all to disconnect from all the modern-day comforts and connect with nature, our friends, family, and ourselves.
Thought of the Hike:
