Loved this story about Philippe’s journey to Atlin. He’s so interesting, and I’m pleased that you have done this on hump Wednesday! Your interviews are all good!
Its not always the destination, its the adventure.. Same with this channel, always a new adventure, and the stories and the people that make it an adventure. Thank you Dustin
Wow! I can only imagine that adventure! Thanks for sharing Philippe's story, Dustin! The places, the sights, the people he met along the way... crazy cool!
That's very interesting. When I lived up north on the cattle ranch it's name was/is "The Punchaw Ranch" at Punchaw B.C.. it was on the Telegraph trail. The ranch was the old stagecoach stop. It was the stopping point for the Black water rd which was the old road from Quesnel to Prince George or to Vanderhoff. Part of the old barn was still there when I was there.
What an awesome story! Thank you for sharing it! That man is like a modern day Samuel Prescott Fay! In 1914 he and 5 other men left Jasper,Ab with a bunch of pack horses and wanted to go to Hudson’s Hope BC following tracks to go as the crow flies. So they did! The stories with exploring Western Canada are endless. Cheers!
Dustin: I wanted to hear more from Phillipe, especially if he and Amelie are a couple?!! You and Emi are having a great trip meeting so many interesting characters and seeing "The Great White North!". Thanks for taking us along with you!😊. Cheers,Sandy&Andy
Amazing adventure! This gentleman had a dream and made it a reality,I think it’s time we put away our electronic devices and get out there! Safe travels 👍🇨🇦
This is a fantastic interview! We always eagerly await the newest you tubes from The Brient Family. Their adventures are always epic and amazing. So cool to hear how the story began. Thanks Dustin for seeking out an interesting story for us all.
Great interview and story. I love Phillipe's family adventures on TH-cam, along with you, Dustin, Jim and Ted Baird, Justin Barbour, have really inspired me to just get out there and do it.
How about an exploration & history of Kusawa Lake & maybe its role in building the Alcan Hwy also the same for Aishihik Lake and their importance on the trails to Dawson?
Living just south of Hixon in Quesnel, BC this story really grabbed me. I really enjoyed the longer interview episode you did about Atlin, but this one adds so much! Thanks for producing such top quality content for us to enjoy and continue to be inspired by, both by yourself and the people who's stories you so respectfully tell.
As one who has traveled literally thousands of miles on trails with horses 'and' sled dogs, I really respect life adventure stories such as this. Gear up, set a coarse, take the first step. The next thing you know is you're being interviewed by a younger adventurer, pretty simple...
For content ideas, as a Canadian, who has been to a number of the places you have featured, and would like to go to more. I think a very cool episode would be you giving some recommended one or 2 Week Road trips for people with recommended routs, sites to see, and places to stay or camp along the way with excerpts taken from other videos.
I was out on the porch the other day telling a friend about the area you live in and about the dam, and one of our tamer red squirrels came up for a snack. My friend heard me say 'Dustin' because I was halfway into the story so he assumed the squirrel's name is Dustin. Long story short, we now have a red squirrel named Dustin.
Amazing story, not too long either. Canada, battered and a bit bruised but not broken. We need to hear more positive stories from folks who chose to live here.
You know how to pick the right people for your interviews... Or you know how to have people tell you about their adventures. Anyway, there is something about your interviews. Thanks
Phillipe sounds like he is one of the original Voyageurs who worked for the Northwest Company in the early 1800s. He’s a true adventurer. Remarkable!
Oh, good call! He definitely has that coureur de bois energy.

I love chatting with people when these gems of life experiences just pop out - suddenly : Tell me more! ☺
I love that story..."Home. A point of origin...or a destination".
Wow! I can only imagine that adventure! Thanks for sharing Philippe's story, Dustin! The places, the sights, the people he met along the way... crazy cool!
A rolling stone will gather no moss, unless it gets to the wet coast. Thanks for stories.
Wow. A true adventure seeker right there. 👏

I'm from Mackenzie. You can see where they tied the horses up by the causeway. Starting to make sense now 😆 Great vid

DArcy
Thank you sir.
Wow holy moley! And he seems pretty humble about it. Like it was no big deal. Who does that?!
great stuff thanks
Julia Child baked a large fish in mud. Maybe you could try a medium size fish? Clam Bake? Authentic Asian cooking ?

"I just walked across Northern BC then canoed down the Yukon river to the Bering Sea" What!?!
