I own a DKMGT (Japan) and Im extremely satisfied. However, it'a great to see a Jackson guitar that has the volume knob NOT so close to the pickup/bridge. Phil definitely knows what he wants.
The 81/60 is not the Hetfield set. Hetfield used that set for a really long time, never was his signature set though. His signature set is significantly different than the 81/60 in both looks and sound.

It's an insanely disproportioned inventory. I don't think an 81/60 is the Het set. I think those are voiced specifically. I have guitars with both, and my guitar with the Het set sounds miles away from the ones with the 81 in them.
Schickes Teil das, bin eh schon seit ich das erste Mal Anthrax gehört habe vor 30 Jahren Jackson Fan. Allerdings hab ich mit meiner RRX24M einen Griff ins Klo gemacht. Wollte mir damit einen Jugendtraum erfüllen und dachte mit der klappt das, tja denkste. Nichts gegen die Klampfe an sich, ich liebe sie immer noch. Eigentlich ein Traum, geile Seymour Black Outs, reversed Headstock und All Black, Floyd Rose Special. Leider ist dieses Floyd ein Alptraum so das ich es wohl festsetzen werde. Hatte sie noch mal zum Händler gebracht weil ich dachte vielleicht ein Einstellungsfehler, aber nö, perfekt eingestellt. Und trotzdem, sobald ich damit das machen will wofür es da ist verstimmt sich die Klampfe derart das ich zum Stimmen sogar die Lock Nut lösen muss, egal ob mit 009er oder 010er Satz, man bekommt sie einfach nicht stimmstabil. Ein mal am Hebel ziehen oder drücken und schon Feierabend. Dazu laufen die Feinstimmer Rauh und hakelig, vermutlich Lack ins Gewinde gelaufen oder selbige nicht richtig geschnitten. Wäre das nicht wäre ich wahrscheinlich Hans im Glück, aber so feiert die geliebte Jackson bei mir eine traurige Premiere, sie ist die erste Gitarre in meinem Leben wo ich das Tremolo festsetzen werde. Ich werde mir sicherlich noch irgendwann eine zweite Randy holen, diese dann in weiß, aber nach den gemachten Erfahrungen garantiert nicht mit Floyd, frag mich ernsthaft wie diese Gitarre bei euch und Thomann durch die Endkontrolle gekommen ist, schade, ansonsten ist sie echt der Oberhammer.
Why do some of these guitars fretboard look super dark and other super light? I prefer the dark but wouldn't want to order one and it show up with the super light looking fretboard

Well I went ahead and bought this guitar and I have to say I'm extremely disappointed. For this price the standard of quality control is abysmal; crooked volume pots and tuners, bridge pickup ring installed upside down. Unacceptable Jackson.
Mid way through the production of these guitars, Jackson realized they made a financial mistake when they found out this guy has no band and couldn't properly endorse these guitars...

The Kelly has a different shape. These were originally called X-Stroyers to pay homage to Phil Collen's Ibanez Destroyer from the '80s.
