I actually went there to celebrate after I proposal to my fiance. Some of the best cooked steak I have had when dinning out.
With his facial expressions, you would never be able to tell if he likes it or not.

$39 for that steak Ive seen better looking steak meals in Sydney,bigger and cheaper that's a rip
A steak of that calibre should be cooked medium rare IMHO.
I think yours did look medium as ordered and well rested.
A well cooked medium steak.
Next time try medium rare mate. It’s not bleeding, just a little more pink and twice as juicy.
I know some chefs refuse to cook such quality steak medium.

Now that’s some intro music! They need a uniform in a shadow box signed by the legend, GIBBO! The sandwich sign read steak chips & salad for $13! That’s unheard of! You should have gotten that! And NO! On the peppercorn sauce for the steak bcuz it has vinegar. Loved the tile on the side of the building. Looking good friend
That was a perfect medium steak. Nothing too well done about it.

Looks so beautiful there but those flies!
My local, takes 2 mins to walk there. I've eaten in the restaurant and from the bar and it has never disappointed over the last 12 years. Suggestion try the Pig N Whistle at Riverside Eagle Street Pier. Another suggestion is Navala Churrascaria at the pier. Something different but well worth it in my opinion. Make sure to try the chicken hearts.

I once hid from the cops at the Pineapple Hotel because they wanted to stop me for riding a bike without wearing a helmet, but I just kept going. I was enjoying a beer with a friend at the Piney while watching the cops through the window driving around looking for me.

Grego mate, you NEED to try the 2 for 1 steaks at the Lucky Star Tavern in Sunnybank Hills on Tuesday nights! If you grab the big 300 or 500gm steaks they are amazing!!!

$39 is a bit steep onnit GregO…? I’d be on that $12 menu but yes, the Piney is an institution around here and solid grub offerings but there are much better fir steaks, a la the Norman & Story Bridge down the road… Morrison is also good. Looked like a cracking arvo at the boozer… cheers Gibbo

Looks like you had some bad luck on that one. I went there, (what 10 years ago? A lot can change in that time but,) it was an awesome steak and chips then. No rating? Looks like a 5.5 out of 10 to me. Vinegar pepper gravy, over done steak and under done chips takes a few point off. Thanks Greggo.
That steak looked like a perfect medium to me - exactly as he ordered it. No excuse for the lack of seasoning, however.
