Greg I like how you're not just buying takeaway every day, these product reviews add more variety to the channel and are even more awesome and applicable-to-buy for viewers I think!
He used to ONLY cook at home, which was great. BUT, as an American I love seeing every Aussie fast food/fish and chip review and the grocery reviews too!

Amazing Grego. With zero marbling and looking like a cut of stewing steak I expected it to be tougher than your Blundstones. Actually worked out ok! Nice one!
I was thinking the same thing, smash out that thinner one and you've got the perfect sized steak for a sandwich, the thicker one might make a better burger.
Oh yeah!!! Pound it out like a cutlet dredge it in flour and shallow fry it in corn oil..what a sandwich that would be!!! With tomato red onion and lettuce and of course pickles and hot mustard...oh my goodness...yummy!!!!
same. and these look like reformed meat. the slightly slimy appearance to start with, chewy, no fat. no cut of beef ive ever seen looks like that when it comes off the animal.
@@AussieMatttt you can clearly see that there’s hardly any fat on them. I’ve tried them before and they were tough as hell. There’s a reason they are so cheap mate.
Completely different company I think. Apparently the US Woolworths brand forgot to register its name overseas, hence there are a number of countries with Woolworths supermarkets and that are completely unrelated.
Try aldi 170g scotch fillet steak for $5 or $6. They are quite thin so i usually freeze them and then partially thaw before blasting at max heat so the inside doesnt overcook, but they are the only decently priced steaks i can find from any supermarket that are actually well marbled and not completely tough as fuck.
Seeing how the grain goes when you showed us the cross cut.. that’s a glued together steak, google or TH-cam it… nothing wrong with it… just saying that’s 100% what it is.. google for yourself.. love you chan thumbs up as always
I thought It was an Eye round steak. Based on the marbling, I still think it is. But the tenderness might mean its not. Unless thats gregs level of tendersteaks.
They are a cheaper looking steak, no marbling, no fat for flavour and both really thin. But at the price they are awesome value! For me, extremely hot skillet, room temp steaks, definitely no spices as they immediately burn- add them later, and turn it not twice but 4-6 times to keep all of the juices inside. And it’s better to go by feel than by time, as you showed every steak is different. Another good review 👍
Lahh blahdy doo dooes...? I'm go'na have to get me some of these... To go with me medium char Woolies steaks 👍🤤 Rolo, the old meat tray licker from way back.. Nice one Greg'o 👍😀
Awesome vid once more my man! I feel if you had cooked using combination of Weber/Woolies instructions it would have been a different story, like, totally cremated. I work for a company that retails Weber and they are Awesome!!! Good choice on this occasion to keep lid open. Cheers mark .
I've had these once before, and they were pretty ordinary. But I think if you vacuum sealed them and Sous Vide for 3 hours at 55 celcius then quickly grilled them on the weber for 45 seconds each side they would be much more tender and flavorful. Time for Greggo to get an immersion circulator methinks. They're pretty cheap these days and do amazing things for your meat.
I see that math isn't your strong point. You cooked that 2nd steak for 6 minutes on the 1st side then 4 on the other so a total of 10 minutes instead of the 8

Seems like good enough value. If you were to pound those steaks flatter with a tenderiser I reckon they'd make a great steak and egg sandwich.
