The amazing part about it is NOT that the game is running from a graphical stand point. It is the work done on the back end, the game run on a reversed engineered server. Meaning that if this project gets finished, they can very well keep on having the game tuning even if Bungie decides to shut downs destiny 1 services.

isnt that what they are doing right now? We literally got 2 old raids we always wanted on pc and we got the same loot from the raids like we wanted and we also got much loved planets and locations back that we wanted for years...
I wish they’d bring back the raid ornaments for kings fall or somehow cortas end armor/ ornaments

if we can get an emulated version. imagine the mods and hacks you could do in the game while you play by urself. running all exotics. no wipe counter in raids so you can just play them like a dungeon. would be a ton of fun

I'd love for Bungie to release in 2024 a 10th anniversary remaster for current gen consoles and PC to take advantage of higher resolutions and Ray tracing . I can imagine seeing Venus with the upscaled visuals and the light reflections off the water puddles on Venus

No, not a remaster. Just make it a port minus maybe QOL features in the settings menu and those sort of stuff. Destiny 2 looks worse than Destiny 1 so last thing we need is D1 to end up looking like D2's artstyle

I mean it is amazing we are getting this far, though i feel like D2 is slowing getting all of D1 remastered into D2 except in D2 we’ve got tons and tons of quality of life features.
As someone else said in the comments, if they brought Destiny 1 onto PC and slowly started adding everything from vanilla to Age of Triumphs, I'd play non-stop.
It's on rpcs3. Emulator works for some games really well, not all but if people think hacking was/is bad on live destiny 2 you don't want a ps3 version of destiny 1 played on PC.

However, if there was a good port, hacking would be more rampant than it was at its peak in destiny 2 and I could nearly guarantee that with its accessibility and not needing to jailbreak the ps3 even tho it's easier than ever after so many years. Not saying it wouldn't be super cool just saying people think it would be perfect but are blinded by nostalgia most of the time.

@@TheArcuzHunter I know they can ban them. However, for how accessible it would be to just cheat and knowing the mindset of the internet/community nowadays, it wouldn't matter. You can't hwid ban, ip ban, any ban you can think of that would attempt to mitigate a hacker has a workaround that has already been made, re-thought out, and re-executed.

if they are able to make a patch for higher framerate like they have on other emulated games it'll be insanely fun.
The thing that made D1 great was everything had a grind to it, it felt like a regular rpg. D2 is just so easy and boring, you get handed everything and boosted to a high light level
there are still plenty of high end activties to grind in D2, and those activties are harder than anything we saw in D1

I'd do anything to go back to OG Destiny because D2 is far from the same game. D1 was so much better

They are going to take it to court and try hard as possible to players don't have experience playing D1 on pc.

We’ve received a lot of quality of life improvements since but back then all of the content was new and refreshing. The seasons now gets boring much sooner.

Because it's an Activision/ Bungie game. They can't do something without Activision's permission but they don't work together anymore which means they can't do anything about it.

I think it’s nice the servers are still up and all, but some point, I think it’s time to let the game rest and be known as one of the best games in its time and of its type. PC-only players won’t have that same experience as all the console players did years ago since Destiny has changed so much from then. But if they manage to get the PC thing working, then I’m happy for them if they’re happy with themselves.

Not really, D2 at this point has more options than D1 ever did. People would definately jump ship for some time but would eventually go back to D2 only due to new content is still supported. D1 aged kinda badly tbh.

@@12SlimJims D2 does have it's moments, but I do like the armor better in 1 since most of the sets were based on actual bosses than random concepts plus nightfall were also more fun because instead of one boss it rotated each week from a pool of different bosses.

I’d love to play d1 on pc! I still play the raids all the time on xb1. It’s a shame that this is the ps3 version though, so it will never have wrath of the machine or current difficulty atheon or Crota raids.
