this is crazy. im doing more dps with your celestial willbender build than with the recommended pve viper/sinister build. And even have more survivability thanks to the celestial stats. Nice man i love your builds. Keep it up 👍
Hizen, love your videos. Like a previous poster, you are a buildmaster that I trust. I am actually running 4 of my characters in exact mapping of how you provided the build. Vindi for sure. Reaper also, and two others. However, I did want to point out two areas of interest related to the new patch and what it has done... the first is the signet nerf to Necro. This was a nerf to core necro which harmed the Reaper--and it really isn't about DPS (at a deeper level). It is more about survivability. Prior to the patch a reaper could stay in shroud for most if not all of a battle. After the patch, the reaper has his shroud beaten off of him in short order. This is, of course a DPS loss, but it also affects longevity. Since you can't heal (mostly) while in shroud, if you are low health coming out of shround, you are in trouble. I've actually gone down-state 3 times since the patch--something that never happened prior. Also, for the BS, don't we lose DPS due to the fact that our charge bar is now half what it was? I get that we can charge into it faster and also have alac, but we lose a straight-up 7-8% DPS just from that, right? Anyway, keep up the awesome videos. Your viewership truly appreciates them, and many of us rely upon your brilliant GW2 guidance.
Quickness Deadeye's method of killing 95% of everything in the open world: Wears Pistol Akimbo, Mark > Steal Time > Mercy > Steal Time > Mark > Steal Time > 33333333.
Quickness Deadeye is good atm that is true but the reason i didn't try to make a quickness build for Deadeye is because it will get a heavy nerf in July 18th patch. i tried to bench quickness deadeye power and condition versions but sadly, the result of the DPS output and self-sustain wasn't good enough to call it "the best for deadeye".
Man I didn't read the patch notes and have started gearing up a ranger toon because the Fervant Force trait seemed so fun. Now its useless and I'm left here crying
Good news is Soulbeast is at least strong. And Condi Druid is currently wrecking house, for as long as ANet will let that go, anyway. So it's not a complete waste, unless all you were after was the fundamentally broken skill. Untamed was clearly unfinished, Fervent Force was a band-aid over that wound and now it's been ripped off. Hopefully they'll actually overhaul Untamed into something workable in PvE without requiring them to basically turn off cooldowns to do so.
In future it would be helpful if you turn on area pulse damage (medium) when you do the benchmark. Some builds like reaper will suffer in terms of DPS when they receive damage

Felt that you had to go the minion route to get back some of the DPS loss in signet reaper. Love how you ditched all the signets in retaliation lol. Now Anet will nerf all the minions and life force gains.

Can you please in the future do some builds for us new players using only core specs ? Sometimes soloing hero points and stuff when you dont have your elites yet can be tough ! Would sigil of Stamina be better than Frailty for mirage when doing events with plenty of mobs? With all the trash mobs dying, your endurance is going to full all the time, so you can do constant ambushes. It seems like that would be better than the vulnerability in everything except soloing champions.
Thank you for all your hard work! If I may presume upon your expertise, which profession in your opinion would be best overall for OW? I'm an older gamer and tend to prefer LI builds. And while I really enjoy GW2, it's mainly as a solo player, so the solo OW builds you post are awesome. But I was just hoping you could drill down the absolute best of the best OW build that can dreadnought/steamroll champs and bounties. I'm thinking it might be a Condi Rev build, but looking for expert confirmation.
For Deadeye add Caltrops for EXTRA HUGE dps it give 20 stack of bleeding for 18 sec... Excellent vs stationary target. Can also go defensive (perma stealth) and do dagger 5 each 2.9 sec and caltrops Only.

Are there any cheaper alternatives to the tormenting runes? they are rly expensive, up to 9-10g each. Runes for most other builds are 1g for a set. What do u guys think is better/easier for open world Solo Stuff: Willbender, Herald (already lvl 80), Deadyeye, Scourge or mechanist? Got 2 lvl 80 boosts left.

Vallun's video "CHRONOMANCER - One Mesmer Build for Guild Wars 2 Open World PvE, WvW, PvP | Phantasmal Guide" has served me VERY well in open world. Full Berserker stats (I use some Marauder mixed in cuz health). Scepter(Energy)/Shield(Celerity) + Sword(Air)/Sword(Force). Defender runes for health/healing/toughness, and heals 5% when you block (which you can do with scepter 2, shield 4, sword 4, and aegis from shield5 and Well of Precognition). [&DQcXKxgaKDojD24BjwGDAYYBggGTEoEBsxKaAQAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA=] It's from late 2021 so there've been some changes (especially recently), but it still works great for me.

@@sarrormiki3363 Yes Me =-( FF was the BEST trait, but like normal Anet think that anything that is good on Ranger should be removed and added at a later date to Ele or Guardian. You watch a variation of FF will appear on one or both of those Professions. Mark my words

In the mirrage build, why do you use the nighmare rune and not the Perplexity rune? Btw i love all youre vids and your old wvw content even thought i dont like to play wvw for myselfe.
because nightmare runes provide enough condition duration combined with the regen trait you will increase the duration of confusion, torments, and bleeding to 100%
@@LordHizen Sorry, which regen trait do you mean. So you have more dps if you have 20% for all condi from nightmare then having 50% only for confusion from perplexity?

Things can go wrong when fighting Bounties and it's there as a safety net in case you miss cloak and dagger (dagger 5), need initiative, need condi clear, need superspeed, and/or can't quite backstab at moments and need to use it to enable backstab. These are some of the many reasons why it would be useful in "just in case" situations.
Hey can you explain to me why you are using sigil of torment on most of your builds? 2 stacks of Torment for 5s, every 5s doesnt seem to be any good or what am I missing here?
I picked sigils based on the damage results that are shown in arcDPS, and the sigil of tormenting got the highest damage result, especially for revenant specs since they have a trait that increases the damage of torment by 10%
This may be a dumb question, but how do you activate cleansing burst on the healing turret on mechanist? When I press the skill again it just blows it up.
cleansing burst is an overcharge skill. turret overcharge skills happen only once throughout the turrets lifespan and are activated immediately upon deploying the turret
Seriously the biggest mistake Anet made was changing FF for Let Loose..... FF was a Trait that really let Rangers act like a Melee class.. Even tho you know Ranger has the work Range in it which is what we should really be doing.... But anyway.... So disappointed in the removal of FF and basically sad that my Bunny Thumper is gone.....
Christ alive. “Ranger” never implied “ranged character” archetypically. I’m so tired of people regurgitating that. The two most famous examples of Rangers in fantasy used swords predominantly.
because the 2nd weapon is the staff that we use as a backup weapon for either transfer conditions or to fight from range if you can't get close to a mob or because of some events mechanics like lava wurm event
mirage has a trait called "sharper images" that inflict bleeding every time a clone land a crit hit. celestial has a decent crit chance, while trailblazer doesn't.
@@LordHizen You are right. I tested it out. I did a bounty which had healing buff (The little spider things which walk to it and heal it) using full trailblazer and I couldn't get it's health down further than 44% as it kept healing. I ran away and switched to full celestial and went back. Finished him off in a couple minutes.... Weird because you get so much more condition damage with full trailblazer.... I guess Sharper Images really is quite effective more that extra precision.
Can you confirm deadeye traits, im not understanding the second rifle trait, you gone 1-1-1 first and last i understand but not sure second trait is for ?
to ensure you have more crit chance because you will get 2 malice instead of 1 when your weapon skill crit, and because other traits are useless for this build.
@@nicklasg87 deadeye, if you learned how to use it then its the best one for thief currently. but in case you have full berserker and not cele then daredevil is good option till you get celestial
yea because holo needs both strength and cleansing sigils, i replaced the strength sigil and got the same damage output as for cleansing sigil holo don't have source to remove conditions, so i kept it that's why i didn't include holosmith in this update video
@@LordHizen Understandable; though since I use heal turret (2 cleanses every 20 sec) more often than not I might give that sigil a go. There's some situations it wouldn't be enough for sure though, good thing I have a leggie pistol to swap them easily.
Sorry if this sounds dumb but can this be use for fractals and raid? I just started playing 2 weeks ago mostly solo, but i also want to try fractals and raid coz it seems like i can get ascended gears in there. Thanks
the builds I made are to provide an easy experience when you do events or anything related to OW content. I solo legendary bosses to show the peak performance of the builds once you master them. Deadeye should be able to solo zehlon ossa don't stand and avoid its corruption AOE.
Rune of Sanctuary before SOTO expension, used to give you barrier for every healing you received, and Mechanist with "Compounding Chemicals" and "Backpack Regenerator" have quite a few ticks that would keep giving you healing that turned into barrier that turned into alacrity. Rune of Sanctuary does not give barrier anymore so we won't be able to upkeep perma alacrity anymore, at least not with the build Lord Hizen highlighted in this video. Let's just wait and see what he does next. I think you just won't be able to upkeep alac 100% anymore, but from my testing trying out a different rune (Rune of Trapper for more damage) I saw that I was able to upkeep alac >60% and quickness at 100% with high amount of might stacks so it still does a lot of damage solo. And if you are asking if you need celestial gear for mechanist it is recommended that you get full celestial gear since it gives you high boon duration while having defensive and offensive stats, its a very good gear for open world in general.

Yuppers ( overhauling quickness dead eye support) same with Specter (alacrity based duration) both are getting nerfed

It's worth noting that the proc from earth sigil is single target while the tormenting sigil is an area of effect proc.
Celestial has just really taken over as the new meta gear. Crazy.

Full Berserker stats (I use some Marauder mixed in cuz health).
Scepter(Energy)/Shield(Celerity) + Sword(Air)/Sword(Force).
Defender runes for health/healing/toughness, and heals 5% when you block (which you can do with scepter 2, shield 4, sword 4, and aegis from shield5 and Well of Precognition).

It's from late 2021 so there've been some changes (especially recently), but it still works great for me.

@@sarrormiki3363 Yes Me =-( FF was the BEST trait, but like normal Anet think that anything that is good on Ranger should be removed and added at a later date to Ele or Guardian. You watch a variation of FF will appear on one or both of those Professions. Mark my words

because nightmare runes provide enough condition duration combined with the regen trait you will increase the duration of confusion, torments, and bleeding to 100%
@@LordHizen Sorry, which regen trait do you mean. So you have more dps if you have 20% for all condi from nightmare then having 50% only for confusion from perplexity?

Just curious about using Deadeye elite for that build. Is it just for the malice regen and using Mercy so you have more initiative available?
Things can go wrong when fighting Bounties and it's there as a safety net in case you miss cloak and dagger (dagger 5), need initiative, need condi clear, need superspeed, and/or can't quite backstab at moments and need to use it to enable backstab. These are some of the many reasons why it would be useful in "just in case" situations.

1:19 Staff Mirage wasn't really nerfed tho.. They reduced it due to the confusion changes. I ran tests and the numbers are ABOUT equal.

Hey can you explain to me why you are using sigil of torment on most of your builds?
2 stacks of Torment for 5s, every 5s doesnt seem to be any good or what am I missing here?
I picked sigils based on the damage results that are shown in arcDPS, and the sigil of tormenting got the highest damage result, especially for revenant specs since they have a trait that increases the damage of torment by 10%

This may be a dumb question, but how do you activate cleansing burst on the healing turret on mechanist? When I press the skill again it just blows it up.
cleansing burst is an overcharge skill. turret overcharge skills happen only once throughout the turrets lifespan and are activated immediately upon deploying the turret
Seriously the biggest mistake Anet made was changing FF for Let Loose..... FF was a Trait that really let Rangers act like a Melee class.. Even tho you know Ranger has the work Range in it which is what we should really be doing.... But anyway.... So disappointed in the removal of FF and basically sad that my Bunny Thumper is gone.....

because the 2nd weapon is the staff that we use as a backup weapon for either transfer conditions or to fight from range if you can't get close to a mob or because of some events mechanics like lava wurm event

Have you tested full Cele mirage vs full trailblazer? Why Cele over trailblazer?
mirage has a trait called "sharper images" that inflict bleeding every time a clone land a crit hit. celestial has a decent crit chance, while trailblazer doesn't.
@@LordHizen You are right. I tested it out. I did a bounty which had healing buff (The little spider things which walk to it and heal it) using full trailblazer and I couldn't get it's health down further than 44% as it kept healing. I ran away and switched to full celestial and went back. Finished him off in a couple minutes.... Weird because you get so much more condition damage with full trailblazer.... I guess Sharper Images really is quite effective more that extra precision.
Can you confirm deadeye traits, im not understanding the second rifle trait, you gone 1-1-1 first and last i understand but not sure second trait is for ?
to ensure you have more crit chance because you will get 2 malice instead of 1 when your weapon skill crit, and because other traits are useless for this build.

yea because holo needs both strength and cleansing sigils, i replaced the strength sigil and got the same damage output
as for cleansing sigil holo don't have source to remove conditions, so i kept it
that's why i didn't include holosmith in this update video
@@LordHizen Understandable; though since I use heal turret (2 cleanses every 20 sec) more often than not I might give that sigil a go. There's some situations it wouldn't be enough for sure though, good thing I have a leggie pistol to swap them easily.

Are these builds supposed to solo ALL Legendary Bounties? How do you solo Zehlon Ossa with the d/d Deadeye one?
the builds I made are to provide an easy experience when you do events or anything related to OW content. I solo legendary bosses to show the peak performance of the builds once you master them. Deadeye should be able to solo zehlon ossa don't stand and avoid its corruption AOE.
How come thief initiative refills very quick? Any tips?
Do I need celestial to proc the mechanist alac? I cant keep mine and its gone right away.
Rune of Sanctuary before SOTO expension, used to give you barrier for every healing you received, and Mechanist with "Compounding Chemicals" and "Backpack Regenerator" have quite a few ticks that would keep giving you healing that turned into barrier that turned into alacrity.
Rune of Sanctuary does not give barrier anymore so we won't be able to upkeep perma alacrity anymore, at least not with the build Lord Hizen highlighted in this video.
Let's just wait and see what he does next.
I think you just won't be able to upkeep alac 100% anymore, but from my testing trying out a different rune (Rune of Trapper for more damage) I saw that I was able to upkeep alac >60% and quickness at 100% with high amount of might stacks so it still does a lot of damage solo.
And if you are asking if you need celestial gear for mechanist it is recommended that you get full celestial gear since it gives you high boon duration while having defensive and offensive stats, its a very good gear for open world in general.
