I didn't get to play the Alpha, but I have watched a few streams and youtube videos to soak up some information. Game looks super promising and fun, but one thing that has me really worried is how easy and fast it seems to build huge settlements showcased here and in many other youtube videos. In no way do I mean to disrespect the sheer amount of effort, dedication and grinding that went into the work. I know gamers are capable to insane feats of strength when sweat-mode is engaged, able to grind for 18 hours a day. However, seeing this as an MMO, I am worried about the longevity of it when grand feats like building a town are accomplished in the manner of a week or two. The game will have to put a lot more on the table if progression flows this fast.
Totally fair point!! The only point I don’t really mention here is how massive the maps are… even with a “full” server there was sooooo much empty space, so in theory it should be “fine” but I know what you mean… it’s deffo something they will need to keep a close eye on!!
Yeah, we discussed this alot too. Whats kinda nice is that "in down times" you can, if you wish, build a really cool "base/home" to come back to after you go out into the wilds to pve/pvp!
The view from the watch tower is insane. Can't wait to play but am willign for it to release feature complete. Looking forward to seeing the combat update as that will 100% determine the health of this game.
