I miss the hospital vlogs, but I also like your videos with medical mysteries. Congrats for 1 mil🎉🎉🎉. We love you. ❤ And by the way I am watching you from Bulgaria (small Balkan county in Europe)
I miss some of the other residents & medical students from past videos. Do you keep in touch with any of them? The on call dynamics is awesome on some of the shifts
Please understand that you’re not just educating people about medicine, you’re showing people what it means to be a good person. You and Mark are absolutely genuine and incredibly caring and compassionate. Both of you are not only gifts to medicine, but gifts to the world in general. Thank you for sharing yourselves with us!
Medical mysteries are my personal favorite. I have been in healthcare for 20+ yrs and always learn something new from you (and you make it fun and interesting again!) Thank you and congrats from VA!🎉
I'm a nursing student in the NWT, and I've been watching you since high school (I'm now going into my 3rd year in the fall). I’m a 78 yr old senior and been following your channel for a very long time. Your energy, and the way you explain the cases allows the average person with no medical training to understand and follow what you’re telling us. Violin is one of my favourite instruments. Also love the videos with you and Mark.
Congratulations!!! I can't believe I have been following you for SEVEN years! Your video's now even say: "From a licensed doctor in Canada Learn more about how experts define health sources" - How cool is that!

I've been watching for a few years now, and what drew me to this channel and continues to set you apart from other medical channels is your day in the life videos. There's something fascinating, as a non-medical professional, about seeing how a doctor moves through the day, while still getting a deeper insight into some medical conditions that I know less about and seeing the diagnostic process. I my name is Ada Hockey. I’m 18 years old. I was at Summer Academy and we wer4 researching someone who works in the medical field because I chose a blind Psychiatrist, but I thought Psychiatrist was the only field I could go into as a visually impaired person who has 20/1000 vision. But the AT specialist/TVI or Teacher of the visually impaired research some other specialties that I could go into like, Family medicine, Internal Medicine, and some others, but that’s when I looked up your channel and showed her that you are an Internal medicine and Rheumatology specialist. I told her that kind of interests me as well because you make it sound like so much fun. I want to work in Peds though. I also called over a resident Asistant at camp and she said that your the reason that she wanted to become a doctor. I am so glad that you have this channel and that you are so inspiring. Keep up the fantastic work. Let’s go and keep spreading the word and inspiring the next jeneration to become medical professionals.
I've watched your channel since the pandemic, but my 8 year old has recently stated that she wants to be a doctor when she grows up, specifically a pediatric hospitalist, and wants to learn about being a doctor every day. We often watch your videos in the evening and she absolutely loves the Day in the Life videos and Medical Mysteries! She feels like she's already learning how to be a doctor! Oh, and she's learning how to play violin. Thanks for all that you do, and congrats on 1 MILLION subscribers!
Love the medical mysteries and a day in the life of a doctor. As a retired/ disabled RN in the USA I would like to see videos that dealt with Fibromyalgia and Chronic Pain. Love you both, you would have great looking kids!
First of all, congratulations Siobhan you deserve the 1 million subscribers. I think it’s just fabulous magical wonderful you really know how to captivate the audience if you will and I think it’s wonderful. Secondly, I’m not even sure I’ve been watching you for a while. Congrats! A thought on adding violin playing...maybe just sort of intersperse it into 'regular' videos. IE, have some audio recordings of you, or both of you playing that your editors can mix into regular vids where BG music generally is. Another 'option' is just record yourselves playing or goofing around after work to relax, edit down to a few minutes, make it like "A Day in the Life - Extra!"...

Been here since “first year medical student!” I’m not in the healthcare field at all, but I enjoy learning from your videos. You present information in an easy to understand yet educational manner. Congratulations! 🎉
I have been watching you since you were a 1st year medical resident. I always look forward to when you post new videos, I love the mystery and learning new things, thank you
You gained my following a few years ago with not only the great content but also your charismatic personality and contagious smile. You are so calming to watch and makes one feel that if they were ever sick, they would 100% pick you to be their doctor. Congratulations on the one million subscribers!!
Congratulations Siobhan! You earned this! I hardly ever post on videos but I felt like I had to for this. I’m a nurse in the US. I learn something from every video that you post. You should be proud of yourself for everything you have accomplished! You’re the kindest person and anyone would be lucky to have you as their doctor. Keep doing what you’re doing! ❤ We love you!
Your curiousity, commpassion and sense of community make you both amazing doctors. We need more of you in Canada. Come to Atlantic Canada - we have great trails/hiking opportunities.
Since 2 of my grandsons entered medical school, I have been obsessed with all things associated with becoming a doctor. Your You Tube videos (especially "a day in the life of...") are so far and above those of other medical you tubers. The way you share your patient experiences from patient complaint to outcome is, to me, what makes you stand out. Every medical student should be required to study your videos as part of their training. Beside all that, your physical beauty and personality are amazing.
🎉 Congratulations Siobhan 🎉 I've been watching your channel for years and your journey thru med school. I've learned so much from you and have enjoyed every video. 🥰 You and Mark are Adorable together. I love seeing videos like this with you two chatting. I'm a 70 yr old in Michigan and hope to see many more videos from you as time permits. Have A Blessed Day ~ Hugs 🥰
My wife is in nursing school right now and I watch a lot of medical TH-cam videos yours and Dr. Mike’s are my favorites and since I have Diabetes and High Blood Pressure I watch videos because I am fascinated with how glucose levels and eating does to the body, and how it can damage the organs we need to survive. Congratulations Doctor , I can’t wait for the next video to come out .
Congratulations! I only discovered your channel a year or so ago and immediately subscribed. I love to read case histories and medical oddities and mysteries, and your presentation is so much fun. I'm also a big fan of symphony and opera, so what's not to love?! I'm a retired RN and my first thought when I came across your channel was, "What intern or resident has time to do a blog?!" There's a lot that goes into creating content, filming it, editing it and I never met a resident who wasn't dying for an extra hour's sleep. Every July 1 when I was floor nursing, I'd see these cocky yet terrified young medical students, now newly minted MDs, suddenly taking nonstop call for days in a row and meeting/conquering their worst fears. (The smart ones knew to ask the nurses for help. I know we seem intimidating and 'been there - done that', but we want to help you succeed and introduce you to what's realistic and what isn't.). So a big thank you from San Francisco for taking us along on your journey. I've enjoyed going back and looking at earlier videos and watching the progress and congratulations for getting through the grind - both of you - and surviving it with grace. ❤️
Congrats on 1 million subscribers! I am so thankful that the TH-cam algorithm pointed out your channel when you were early in your second year and have been following your journey ever since. It's fantastic to see you travel to all different destinations to practice medicine with Mark. No matter what you do, I look forward to seeing new videos. Here's to many more videos - and subscribers, too!
Hi Siobhan! Congrats on 1M subscribers! I love this Q&A video! I'm so glad you felt honest enough to say that you aren't sure if you are going to have kids. I'm not sure why society assumes the natural progression for every married couple is to have children. Not everyone wants kids, or can even have them. I think it's sooo important for people to not make these kind of assumptions. It's ok to not want kids, and you don't need to feel bad about it! Thank you for all of your content. I have learned SO MUCH from you! Love to you from PA. ❤🩺😊
I love to stay positive and this channel really helps me do that! I've had so many negative experiences with doctors who aren't interested in their job and never try to help figure out what is wrong with my health. But you both remind me that there are still doctors out there who really want to fix the problem, not just put a patch on it and get rid of you! Thanks for giving me hope and for the beautiful, bubbly personality that always puts a smile on my face!
Try the Vancouver Island Trail. It is 800 km long. And an idea would be to record some background music for your videos with your violin. 1:09 - Or, if you are in Canada, from Hamilton to Windsor. 27:05 - You should put that picture in a frame and give it to Mark as a present.
My favorite videos and the ones that brought me to your channel were the day in the life of a doctor! I am not a health care professional but am a patient, and find them so interesting!
I’d love to see a video explaining esophageal Varices and exsanguination pertinent to liver failure, also the paracentesis and all other manifestations of cirrhosis of the liver. I’ve been a nurse (6 years now) who’s watched your videos since you were a first year medical student and I was also a greys anatomy fan. Unfortunately being First Nations I’ve lost many friends to cirrhosis, alcohol related, I also know end stage liver failure doesn’t necessarily mean that alcoholism is always a precipitating factor to cirrhosis of the liver. So thankful to be just 1/1,000,000 of your TH-cam subscribers and one that I look forward to when I get the notification that Siobhan aka violinmd, has made another deep dive into medical videos. Always gives me knowledge that I can remember which makes me a better nurse. ❤ - Clint
I work as an academic advisor for college students, mostly going towards nursing but a few heading towards medical school. Your videos have helped me help them along their journeys. You do good work.
You're amazing. One of the few people on TH-cam where I watch your videos in their entirety. You are so smart, interesting, and so engaging and wonderful to listen to!
I’m in the middle of Covid part II, so a short congratulations for 1 million viewers! Voting for medical mysteries, day in the life of, and then a travel day each time you take a longer vacation. Do something that requires low to no editing that gives us an insight into where you’ve been or what’s influencing you. Great job.
I love watching both of you interact and the love that is so obvious between you. I have also loved your true optimism and care you exude for your patients. God bless you and don’t ever forget to be human!
I’ve been a subscriber since your 2nd year of residency. I’m truly so proud to see how far you’ve come since then. I have seen you in your 2nd year, 3rd year, 4th year, 5th year, and now you are an internal medicine and rheumatology specialist! That’s so crazy how fast time flies! You have taught me so much and have you made me realize that I want to go into the medical field after HS. I’ve been watching your videos ever since 6th grade, now going to be a senior (class of 2025) I can’t wait to see what the future holds for me! Thank you for showing us a little bit of what your everyday life looks like. Congrats on 1 Million subscribers, you deserve this and so much more! Continue to put a smile on others! ❤
As a final year medical student and fellow violin player that has followed your channel since i started med school, i look up to you sooo much, i wish you the best in all you do always ❤ congrats on this milestone🎉
@ViolinMD Congratulations on this milestone!! I have been following your journey since you were a first year internal medicine resident, and your content has truly inspired and reaffirmed my decision to pursue medicine. As I begin medical school next week, I would like to thank you for always putting up such quality content, and being the channel I look forward to watching every weekend!!
I’ve been watching you since your first year in Medical school. I love you! You’re so upbeat! I’m a pianist, have medical assistant degree and premed from UCSD. Played intercollegiate tennis and did sports all my life. You inspire me!!
I’m so so happy for you, you deserve this so much. I think one content you can highlight for your channel is understanding how important vital signs are, assessment.
The world needs newer generations of kids from couples such as yourselves!!! With all the wisdom and love you both share, I am sure you guys would raise such loving and smart kids who you can go on this fun hiking trips with! Just imagine how much fun your parents had going on the trip with you both. That is the same joy you will have one day with your kids. No pressure hahahha
I'm really grateful to God for your progress. I'm not even in the medical line but I really enjoy how you try to break things down. I just watch your videos for leisure but I always look forward to your next videos. Keep pushing forward....
I like the case studies, but I also miss more of the day in the life videos too, maybe a balance of both? Would also like to see a bit more of your interactions with nursing, ems, supervision, allied health, etc (I know you've done those videos in the past, just like seeing the whole team in action.) Congrats to both of you on 1 million!
Hi Siobhan! I’ve enjoyed your videos for several years now, and I loved this one. :) Congratulations on reaching 1M subscribers!!! You have been so fun to watch and learn from. I’m now studying Human Biology and Health Sciences with hopes of becoming a nurse someday. I personally really love when you share medical vlogs, mysteries and patient stories. But I also love the chatty videos too. :) all the best!
Congratulations to you both! I have recently become a medical coder and have been following your journey for a few years now and you definitely helped me understand more about pathology and kept me interested in the field of medicine. Maybe some more day in the life videos but maybe some of the more mundane things you have to do too. Like a real glimpse of how you document cases and some of the burden it might be to have to document things so specifically and dealing with insurance/lawyers. How your general feelings/relationships are towards medical coders and do you feel their presence in healthcare is necessary and helpful? Congrats again whatever content I’ll keep tuning in!
Congrats on your much deserved award. Due to your enthusiasm about everything anyone can relate to you. Would love to watch you unwrap some of the PR YOU RECEIVE. Also tell us about your one thing you have treated yourself to since you started making some money. I also love the medical mystery’s you share. Would love to see just a room of your house, how it is decorated. Wondering about your decor style!! Bye for now!!

What I love - Siobhan’s joy and big smile, and let’s not forget her dimples 😊. Siobhan your personality and positive outlook on life is why I watch. I feel your joy along your husband Mark - a huge Congratulations 🎉on 1 Million subscribers!!!!!!!!!!!👏👏👏👏👏💐💐🎻❤️.
Congratulations! You deserve 1 mill subscribers & more! Love how you’re so genuine & you’re passionate about your line of work & that is hard to come by these days. The world needs more people like you. God bless. Love from NZ!
Huge deal. Glad you made it. I hope it pays you well in all ways.
You are one incredible human Siobhan! Thank you for sharing your journey and knowledge with us over the years. ❤️
Congratulations on 1 million!! You have already touched so many lives and have so many more lives to impact! Everyone needs a Siobhan in their lives ❤
Your curiousity, commpassion and sense of community make you both amazing doctors. We need more of you in Canada. Come to Atlantic Canada - we have great trails/hiking opportunities.
I used to watch all of your videos in nursing school before exams/clinical for confidence and comfort. Now a NICU nurse for 3 years ❤❤🎉🥰
Since 2 of my grandsons entered medical school, I have been obsessed with all things associated with becoming a doctor.
Siobhan, congratulations 🎉🎉🎉
Well deserved! Thank you for everything you do as a doctor and as a youtuber. I've learnt a lot from you ❤
🎉 Congratulations Siobhan 🎉
I've been watching your channel for years and your journey thru med school.
I would love to see more day in the life vlogs and more week in the Life vlogs I would love to see a morning routine video with you and Mark ❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉
Heartly congratulations 🎉
You're so gorgeous. You're just a joy to have in this world 🤍 What a fantastic doctor you have grown to be!
Dr Mark is so much composed and have best temperament
Congratulations You deserve it 🎉
Congratulations love your videos. I'm in Scotland in the UK.
Congratulations! I love your channel😁
Congrats Siobhan! Thank you for everything you and Mark do!
I have been following you for several years and love your content. Congratulations on 1 million subscribers!!
❤ - Clint
Great video idea. And tieing in organ transplantation - both living donor and donor after death would be great!
I work as an academic advisor for college students, mostly going towards nursing but a few heading towards medical school. Your videos have helped me help them along their journeys. You do good work.
I would love to hear more medical mysteries. They are very fun to try to figure out. Much love.Patt L
We love you, you’re an incredible person and a huge inspiration!!! Congratulations to this milestone 🎉🎊🎈🎁🍾
Dr Siobhan and Dr Mark respectable couple of doctor
As a final year medical student and fellow violin player that has followed your channel since i started med school, i look up to you sooo much, i wish you the best in all you do always ❤ congrats on this milestone🎉
I've watched you for years and you're so amazing and such a genuinely kind and caring person. It's been lovely to see you grow and learn!
I really like the channel. I also like the variety of videos. Congratulations.
Patient stories please!❤
I know this channel from her residency years, was instant addiction for a hardworking, informative, funny, and smart woman. Big like from România.❤😊
Hi fellow European! I live in Sweden
@@MsStina84 ok, have a nice day.
Well done Canadian girl. I worked at Hamilton General many years ago. Love seeing areas you have been. Hospitals are a city of themselves.
You are a joy!! Love your medical mysteries & enjoy every video. God bless you.
I always watch her videos and get a lot of answers at time and it’s really nice to have someone who knows their stuff!! Congrats Siobhan!!
Hi. Mark, you are the coolest! Thanks for sharing Siobhan with us ❤. 1M - You're TH-cam famous
You are amazing DR Accurate Diagnosis saves lives. I love your voice its energizing!
Amazing accomplishment! Wonderful people, couple, doctors, and you-tubers! Look forward to every video. RN in upstate NY
