As you said, it's a much easier job to do before the rope has already broken...good job

Hello Andy K thanks for viewing you are so right it could break the spring and those dog legs inside and just make a mess if its not replaced before it breaks.

Cliff, I hope you are well! I have four Snapper mowers, three mulch decks & one HIVAC deck. I'm going to try to mulch with the rolled HIVAC bagging deck using a mulching blade. Have you ever mulched with the rolled HIVAC deck mower? Any feedback appreciated! Thanks & be well.

Hello that is great have worked on a few generators a Generac recently for my neighbor. Most of the problems have been the engine carburetor just from sitting extended periods of time, a home owner type generator does not get used much and the gas dries up in them. The generator part is generally never the issue hey do a video on it I did not see that posted as of yet on your channel.

Not a fan of those Inteks. Always have valve train issues. A guy just gave me a free Snapper rider with a 12 horse Intek and valve problems.Sold it as is for enough money to buy myself a new Echo straight shaft trimmer.

I've got one of those Intek engines, replaced everything but flywheel and still no spark.

Hello BronzeChicken thanks for viewing! Ok so a few things to check the cable from the handle you pull down to start the engine. It it could be stretched where its not fully disengaging the cutoff switch. For safety take the spark plug boot off, tie the handle back and see with a pair of vise grips can you pull that lever back further with the cable fully engaged. You can also put a temp ziptie in place to fully engage it. Take the spark plug out put it back on the boot put the electrode end on a head bolt have someone pull the rope see if you now see a spark. (presumed you replaced the spark plug) Also the flywheel key, it could have partially sheared which throws off the timing and that could cause it not to spark. The last resort is the actual magneto itself, if its 15-20 years old it may have failed and would need to be replaced. They have after market ones on Amazon/Ebay for under $15 USD. Let me know what you find and the actual age of your lawn mower/Intek engine.

It's a 2002 model, I've done all of that, replaced the plug too and just can't seem to get spark, considering the mower's condition I haven't pulled the flywheel since it ran perfect and shut off and won't start again.
