In my very honest opinion, this kind of show/competition is not for someone like our Hongstar. He is the only one in KPop who has such unique (definitely) distinguishable voice and tone, in which no other singer has (nor tht I can think of someone w/ similar singing style). So yeah, I'm not surprised if they figured him out the very first moment he sang (nor that I find it weird they didn't picked him). LOL
+Prima Nora IKR. Same goes for Ailee. This kind of show doesn't do judgement/fair to other contestant when these two join, because there's no other singer like them in KPop scene who possess such awesome voice and singing technique.

From the first note the audience is just like 'Oh Hongki's singing' 'yep definitely hongki'. Also I think it's 2AM Changmin as well. My family thinks Hong Ki's competition was 2AM's Chang Min as he sounded like and moved like Chang Min (we watch a lot of Immortal Songs 2), except that it sounded like he changed his style of singing a bit.

Well, that seems unfair. Some singers like Hongki not only can sing well, but also have a special voice that makes them memorable. It's the kind of singers I like the most. You could hit high notes but if your voices sounds like others it has no real appeal (you could be easy replaced) but if your voice is unique that's a different story
Well this is not true at all. There have been a lot of very known & recognizable voices who have won & been voted through. Hongki lost by only 3 votes but he still lost. Quit making excuses, the other guys performance was very well received which is why he won

I keep re-watching this performance cuz it's so amazing. But I feel they definitely missed an opportunity to have him do a killer duet with Changmin. I mean, if you're going to pair two great singers, don't waste that opportunity! Too bad they didn't separate them to pair with the others, whom they would easily beat, but I guess they wanted to be fair by not matching seasoned singers with non-singers. Guess you roll the dice with being on the show so early on; he was in the second group of contestants after all (not counting pilot). I'm pretty sure he lost the 3 vote margin by "changing his style" by choosing to be stiff. I would kill for a duet between him and Sandeul. But I'm definitely loving the show so far. Some of the non-pro singers are freakin' impressive. And the masks!!! They get so incredibly creative as the episodes go on. Whoever is making those masks must be having so much fun!
Actually confused why they didn't go head to head in a duet. All the other Round 1 battles, I've watched have them all doing duets, including Episode 1. Why did they change the format for Episode 3? In Ep 3, it's awkward to see the other contestant standing still lol. They also do pair professional singers with non-pro singers in other episodes.
I watched the whole show, and the moment i saw the jacket i was like just one guy can put a jacket like this, Heechul or Hongki. But Heechul is a bit taller than that so Hongki and the moment he started to sing i know it. So happy and good job, can't stop listening the song; Just sad that he lost :(

I watched the whole show, and the moment i saw the jacket i was like just one guy can put a jacket like this, Heechul or Hongki. But Heechul is a bit taller than that so Hongki and the moment he started to sing i know it. So happy and good job, can't stop listening the song; Just sad that he lost :(
