FT아일랜드가 11월 18일 국내 다섯 번째 미니 앨범 '더 무드'를 발표한다. '더 무드'에는 타이틀 곡 '미치도록'과 멤버들 자작곡 3곡을 포함해 총 4곡이 수록된다. 타이틀곡 '미치도록'은 올 가을을 적실 'FT표 명품 발라드'로 기대를 모으고 있으며, '가질 수 없는 너' 'The Way Into You' 'Siren' 등 3개의 수록곡은 각각 최종훈, 이재진, 이홍기 자작곡이다.
FT아일랜드는 2007년 데뷔 이래 '사랑앓이' '너 올 때까지' '천둥' '사랑후애' '나쁜 여자야' '바래' '지독하게' 등 수많은 히트곡들로 큰 사랑을 받아왔으며, 얼마 전 9월 28~29일에는 국내에서 데뷔 6주년 기념 콘서트를 개최한 데에 이어 10월에는 일본 6개 도시 10회 공연으로 진행됐던 제프투어 '리플레이(REPLAY)'를 성황리 마쳤다.
타이틀곡 '미치도록'은 어쿠스틱 사운드와 스트링의 편곡이 돋보이는 모던 락 발라드 곡이다. 뜨겁게 사랑했던 연인을 그리워하는 절망적인 남자의 심정을 그리고 있다. 보컬 이홍기의 호소력 짙은 목소리가 곡의 분위기를 한층 고조시키며, 후렴구의 '미치도록 너만 보고 싶다' ''죽도록 너만 보고 싶다' 등의 반복적인 가사가 노래의 중독성을 더한다.
FTISLAND comes back with the 5th mini album [THE MOOD] on November 18. [THE MOOD] includes 4 songs, title song "Madly" and 3 self-written songs. The title song "Madly" already has excited fans and said to be a great ballad song for this fall. '가질 수 없는 너 : Paralyzer,' 'The Way Into You,' and 'Siren' was written respectably by Choi Jonghoon, Lee Jaejin, and Lee Honggi.
Ever since their debut in 2007, FTISLAND has released mega hits like 'Love Sick,' 'Thunder,' 'Till Your Return,' 'After Love,' 'Bad Woman,' 'I Hope,' and 'Severely,' and they are widely loved. Last September, FTISLAND had the 6th anniversary concerts in Seoul, and successfully toured 6 cities in Japan holding 10 concerts under the Zepp tour title REPLAY.
Title song 'Madly' is a modern rock ballad that has acoustic sound and arranged string instruments. It talks about a broken heart of a guy who desperately misses the past lover. Lee Honggi's vocal expresses emotions melted in the song and the repeated verse "I madly miss you only," "I miss you like crazy" will not leave your head.

while i love ft island, there are a million groups like this (male pop rock bands), just not in kpop. most people who are into kpop like the dance aspect of it and look to kpop because it is not as common elsewhere.

Well, I shouldn't be the one to talk either because I wasn't interested in them myself years ago, when I first got into K-Pop and TVXQ. I blame it all on the Hongki's cuteness in "You're Beautiful" though. I got the impression back then that F.T Island must be the typical type of boyband - too cute but nothing much. Geez, I regret so much now for not discovering their sound earlier. Much respect from a hardcore Cassie!

Briefly said, I also put them under the K-Rock category in order to separate them from the vast majority of K-Pop bands, among which they also are considered to be. I'm glad that they mix pop and rock sound and didn't go completely into hard rock. This ballad is my most favorite Korean song from FTISLAND. It's a shame that the views aren't more.

I don't know what kpop lovers think..I also a kpop lovers, I love all korean boy and girlband. But, frankly, it seems like the truly meaning of band concept with musical instrument ability is getting cleared by all dancing boyband. I don't blame them, but, I think ft island is a trully band. I adore them since the released of their album : colorful sensibility. Since then, I thought this band is awesome and cool, like their names, each member has their treasure. I'm very proud to be a primadonna, and I'll always be..Fighting, FT ISLAND! Someday, they'll realize how good you aree..

I'm not a Primadonna, but gosh I love FT Island so much. Their music is great and Hongki is technically my favourite vocalist. They focus solely on music in their MVs, nothing fancy or showy. When I saw this MV again I was like 'c'mon, where are they views?'

Theres nothing else I can say. This is PERFECT. Ive being Primadonna for 7 years already means since their debut with "Love Sick" and all their songs really suit my music type. And HONGKI, who always sing with passion, JONGHOON the talented leader, JAEJIN the awesome bassist, MINHWAN the cute drummer and SEUNGHYUN the best rapper really make me cant stop loving them. I discovered them early this year and like them a lot...and it seems i like them more and more. I tried to listen to some other Korean groups and nobody comes even close. They are realy good! Please watch their concerts - they are just so good I have no words. If you are taking any sugestions please wath their 6tth anniversary concert in Seoul - oh my that was amazing!

Marshellee Jellee He fell on ice, & fractured his face, & dislocated his shoulder. :( .He had 2 surgeries, & will be recovering for at least 6weeks.
Tabitha Wilson recent news came out saying that since honki is now filming a drama... while filming he was on top of some platform and he fell and that is why he fractured his face and dislocated his shoulder, the surgeries were a success and he is now resting at his home but has to go back everyday for treatment.....lets keep praying for him

usually I have problems with most korean singing voices, they mostly seem too flat to my ears (well, I have special tastes there...), but this is just purely amazing. So much strengh, depth and feeling isn't something one can learn. I'm glad I found these guys.

all the amazing voices are underrated because they dont make mainstream music. If you look a little deeper you will defentily find people like Hongki

All FNC singers are kinda underrated comparing to others like SM, YG etc.. But FNC is full of love and big hearts.. I just don't understand how people don't see it...
i love the whole album, not just this title song. Siren written and composed by HongKi is such a fun, catchy and feel good song. JongHoon's I can't Have You is a solid rock song which showcases their amazing talents with instruments. JaeJin does a lot of singing in his own song The Way Into You, and his vocals is getting stronger and more steady. FTIsland is a very talented and underrated group, i love them to bits!

My daughter is 24 years old...loves FT Island...I heard her playing it one day...I totally fell in love with FT Island and this song....such a talented band... Lee Hong Ki...Canada loves you!!!! As JongHoon was the main character, I expected him to appear more on screen but all I saw was HongKi singing... I think FNC should focus not only on the vocalist, the other members also deserve an opportunity to shine. I have nothing against HongKi but I feel really annoyed by this. I hope someday I can see JongHoon in a rol as HongKi had in Severely. And not only JongHoon but all of them.
In the other hand, it's a nice song and I like the guitar sound and HongKi's voice.. Moreover, JongHoon's ability to play the piano is the best kjashkjasb and the way he shows sadness and desperation is really touching and heartbreaking.

Nicky Azia I always support FT Island, I like their videos, I play them as long as I can, I buy the albums and I'll never stop doing so. I love them all but I can´t just hush. I believe all members deserve to be recognized. It's the only way people stop calling them "HongKi and his band," instead of FT Island because in a band all them are important not only the vocalist. I think you can´t understand it because your bias is HongKi. It happened to me... in the past I didn´t notice it but now that I do I have to express what I think and how I feel. I don´t want to sound grouchy but it's the only way ... ALWAYS SUPPORTING MY 6 TREASURES ♥~

how did FT Island lose their fame. They used to be so big. Now they recently had a comeback and I knew nothing of it until like RIGHT before the comeback performance.
As we all know, their compnay FNC didn't promote FTIsland like they used to be.. sigh, FTIsland really need a better company.

so far i know,
around 2008 they left korea to prepare debut in Japan.
they studied Japanesse and such so they not more active in Korea.
until they comeback and Korean has lost interest to band performance (you can count band-group who still alive until now), so they hits bottom at 2009.
Hongki even said that he jumps out to act-world because he wants introduce FT Island more. you will see how much people recognize hongki from You're Beautiful at that time bcause the drama reactions was daebak.
they just crawled out again from sink, even tho their music was great.
you should watch their first realty show called "Coming Out!FT Island" to get to know FT Island more.
i found they super cool because they started to composed song to their album.
i'm not going to say FT Island need a better company, because i don't think other company would do better than FNC. the only agency who has band-group alive is FNC.

maybe because the responses from k-net to CNB way better than FTI(also from drama effects). that's why for company's profit, CNB was push ahead from FTI.
at least, FNC start to pay attention for FTI. FTI just crawled out from ground, which we can see they more on televisions.
