This video is 7 different tutorials with time stamps. I forgot about one thing. You can send multiple outs to FL Studios mixer. Meaning you can do whatever you want in the MPC beats software, use Fruity Loops piano roll for whatever, and still track out your beats in the FL mixer.
btw shout out to Doswell beat! He said to warp all the pads at the same time go to the drop down tab that have the pad label and select all and then hit warp. And then make sure you hit the drop down again and go back to current
Its a little weird but you can also use midi out on fl to control each program in mpc beats software too. You can assign each program to a midi channel and port. That way you can still use the FL piano roll.
Hey Ave First thanks for all of your videos very helpful and motivating for me, already learn a lot from here. I bought your fl file for mpk mini mk3. It works flawlessly with FL but when I'm trying to use it mpc beats as plugin in FL the pads are not working, it tries to trigger fl channel rack in the background. Any tips on this please? Thanks
I am trying to figure out how to send separate kicks, hats, snares from MPB directly to the FL Studio Mixer. Is that what you mean? If so, could you please elaborate? It is literally the only question I have left.
I just want to thank you for putting these videos together, I started producing on an MPC in 1998, my father got me an MPC 2000 as a graduation gift and I made so many good songs on it, I upgraded to a 2500 and gradually moved on to producing in DAWs, and did some really great music in them and will continue to use them, but this software is amazing, my father just turned me on to it, the quantitization feels just like the old school MPCs and the work flows very similar, and integrates well with DAWs. I really hope Akai keeps this software up-to-date and continues to add features, and doesn't abandon us.
You can actually just click the little export audio button in the UI and then just drag it as a wave right onto the playlist. No exporting to folder required.
Man I was just watching a hit boy interview and he uses mpc with fl studio it’s super fun . And that vintage presents like mpc 3000 sounds 🔥🔥. The drums sound and hit better. MPC with fl is unmatched

Keep up the good work Ave. I'm probably one of the only cats on here that's even more old school than you, been at it since about 1984. My first drum machine type device was the Korg KPR-77, and DAWs didn't exist back then. It was either two reel to reel machines, or eventually a four or eight track machine and a mess of synths (I did also have an Ensoniq Mirage sample which made me the ultimate guy to talk to round town.) Just want to say thanks and let you know that there are some of us old geezers out here watching too. Every few years, there is a new way of doing things and a completely new work flow (um gettin to old or this.) You know I'm right. I have a real appreciation for this one that you posted since I have no experience with the newer MPC software. Now just a quick geezer note, an OG call. Back in 1986 I think, but don't quote me, Roger Linn was still pushing Linn Drums, and at that time, they were the Bomb! Couldn't afford that though. My drum machine had bell sounds for cymbals. They don't know how lucky they are to have things the way they are today. Accessible, and relatively cheap. In this case free! Thanks again man. Just subscribed to your channel and will be back again to check in on what you'e doing. Keep up the good work!

I remember hearing about this free daw/vst from you and at first I didn't know what I would need it for but then when I figured out that it can be used as a vst I realized that this is literally perfect for me to have structure to my workflow while inside fl studio, fl is very open and I feel like fl studio gives u lots of freedom ease of use but it's necessary to be able to structure your workflow into things like loops and layers of sounds and then make beats from there rather than just mindlessly experimenting in fl studio which I usually do and that can mean I lose focus on my beats overtime 😃 thanks so much Mcree for introducing this and other free vsts to me they are lifesavers for producers

Used to HATE FPC but in the end it was one of the tools that ended up using a lot. FPC/Edison great combo of tools and save so much time with drums. Excellent tool.
Man Ave, I've been watching you for a couple of years. Every since you got MPC One, I've been looking at Akai. Yeah, I have Native Instruments, but I had to bust out and get the MPD226 this week. It's not the MPC One, but the software and those pads....damn!!!!

@Ave Mcree great video.. How did you get the Mpc to record directly into Fl?? I use the Mpc X and want to play my drums and chord progressions directly into Fl.. How did you set it up to record directly from your Mpc into Fl? I want to record directly into Fl without drag n drop.. or rendering out to WAV.. Thanks for your help and content..
I like how it automatically chops for you. Maybe FL Studio does that too, but I'm new to it all. One question though. I seen the sp1200 come up. Did that come free to?
Ave, please help me. I am a total novice wanting to make boom bap hip hop beat. I am not a musician so I will be 1000% reliant on sampling. I am trying to keep my costs down. I am thinking about the Akai MPC Studio II but there's something else I saw for less called the Akai MPD 218. Will the MPD 218 work seamlessly with FL Studio? Audio tail is tied to how much audio plays after the song is done. For example, if you have reverb on a 4 bar drum loop and the audio tail’s set to zero. It will perfectly cut the loop at the 5th bar.
Joo, I have a question: For me, unfortunately, the sounds are not saved in the FL Piano role, only in the MPC plug in. Do you know what could be the problem? Thanks in advance!
I just started the video, but does the time stretch/pitch algorithm try to emulate the MPC? Or is there any hardware emulation? I remember seeing something like that in an Akai plugin like this, but it was the paid software.
The time warping algorithm in the MPC software is different (and better ) then the standalone version (meaning the actually hardware unit). It's based after the Elastic algorithm (used in plugins/software like Serato Sample, Melodyne, Ableton Live, etc.)
What up man! I want to use MPC2500 as a controller but 16 levels only work for velocity but not tune with MPC Beats. Live sample chopping doesn’t seem to be working with 2500 and MPC Beats (pads do not respond while in CHOP mode). Everything works fine with a midi controller (MPK Mini). Also have to use mouse/cursor to change pads if using MPC2500 as it won’t change when hitting the pad while working on samples in sample edit and switching between pads. Is there a way to get this working or that’s just the way it is with this MPC as it’s an older unit and might not be able to send/receive all information between the machine and software? Peace
This is sooo dope. Never got in to the mpc world but I do see the benefits of the workflow. Quick question tho. Do I need a mpc or can I use other controllers?
man this helped me alot! im very used to fruity im glad i can use the mpc software with it!!! but why didnt u exported the mpc plugin as pattern? wouldnt it be easier - its faster u dont have to pull them into fl afterwards also no hdd space used whats the differenc between mpc beats and mpc2.0 im planning on getting a touch not sure wich one i should use...

btw, I did a whole video on how to export beats.. Check out my MPC beats playlist.
Joo, I have a question:
For me, unfortunately, the sounds are not saved in the FL Piano role, only in the MPC plug in.
Hey man, how can i remap mpc pads in the mpc plugin?
Peace
this workflow makes me giggle
How so?
@@lsddotswimssupporter it's so convoluted... unnecessary
This is sooo dope. Never got in to the mpc world but I do see the benefits of the workflow. Quick question tho. Do I need a mpc or can I use other controllers?
If I'm not mistaking you can use any controller... The mapping is weird on non akai hardware tho I think...
Akai has that mpk mini II ... It come with MPC essentials and a few expansions.. it's around 100 ducketts
Avery Price thanks for the info. Just got a new midi controller so I don’t want to get another one but man I’m tempted lol
man this helped me alot! im very used to fruity im glad i can use the mpc software with it!!! but why didnt u exported the mpc plugin as pattern? wouldnt it be easier - its faster u dont have to pull them into fl afterwards also no hdd space used
whats the differenc between mpc beats and mpc2.0 im planning on getting a touch not sure wich one i should use...
How do you activate the pads?
