He does things like: fill my gas tank and wash my car, makes me coffee when he hears me coming down the stairs, etc. Gift giving is actually giving someone something as a token of love. It’s not about how much money you spend. I love doing hand made gifts but I also keep a running list of gift ideas in my phone for people I love based on things they tell me, ideas I have throughout the year, etc. There’s real thought behind the gifts. Just because something is hand made doesn’t make it an act of service. It doesn’t make their day any easier like an act of service would. 😊

E.g. there's another content creator I see sometimes who's an East Asian non-Muslim, and she had to address these types of comments a while back because people were mad she made food for her husband. I do think Muslim content creators get more of these comments than otherwise (the top comments here are basically all about that, whereas for non-Muslim creators you need to scroll much further down to see them), but it's entirely possible a lot of these people say these things because they mistrust men, and not because they are prejudiced against Muslims in particular
