First time watching one of your videos and I watched the whole video and enjoyed it. You mentioned fishing Winnebago and feeling intimidated early on, I believe with big lakes you have to break it down into sections and learn an area and not be intimidated by the size of the lake.
Thanks so much. Yes, that's exactly what you should do and what I did to get confidence on a big lake. I looked at it as a bunch of small lakes based on the structure of an area.
Another awesome video Dan!! I've been wanting to make a walleye fishing video for my channel!! I love watching your videos man, keep up the amazing job!! 💪🤝🎣🎣
Thanks @colejfishingadventures I appreciate the nice comment. You should be able to make a walleye video without a problem living where you live. I find it quite easy to catch walleyes in NW Ontario.
100%! People ask if I can swim. Yep. But not when I'm unconscious. And I don't want to think about swimming if I were to fall in. A guide on Erie fell over board netting his clients fish. He died that day. Sad.
It was tough out there. At least for me. I usually avoid the north end with a straight south wind but that's where my people wanted to explore. How'd you do?
@justgofish it was tough for me too. I was waiting for a west wind to hit as I thought that was happening sometime during the day. Spent 3 hours on reefs with only one 15" walleye. One 18 incher in shallow water.
@@bad_vaporizer We ended up with 3 short walleyes and one keeper at 14". A catfish and of course some drum gave my people some action. I also caught a 15 inch white bass. I'd like to see a few more of those around. I used to get them all the time.
@justgofish BTW I thought the side with more wind is best for fish. Yes, I don't get much white bass either. I love watching your videos. Make some videos for perch.
Call me paranoid but I like my stuff. Plus then I don't have to ask for $300 to replace it. It only happned once and the rod was floating on the surface. It's rod insurance!

Hey, i saw you out on the lake today on the north side.

Great video and great fish! Will you change your tactics at all as we get deeper into summer or will you continue to jig shallow water for walleye?
I will fish shallow all through summer. I'll explore depths to 9 feet.
The dnr is protecting the resource so you dont have to. 3 fish limit in a system that can absolutely still handle the 5 fish limit it used to be.
You're right. I don't HAVE to. I want to. And if people would only follow the rules, they wouldn't have changed it from 5 to 3.
@@justgofish could you elaborate?
Foam on the rod . No worries about customer drops?
