Great vid 👍 Any plans for a vid breaking down some earnings? What you've found works well (car location, rental pricing, etc)? Lessons learned/what to avoid for a newb? I'm looking to get a fleet started also. Thanks mate keep up the good work ✌️
Mate, love your work. Not only you are resourceful but you are documenting it for us to enjoy. Keep it up! Hopefully you get enough income from the first two cars to get a third one and then a fourth and so o. keep on building your passive income streams, they will compound. And please do publish that next video on the earnings side of things. Look forward to it!
Hey mate, I am definitely interested in the setup and management of these. I am also in Australia and would like to do something similar, although I am not as mechanically savvy. Please do make a video showing how to manage Uber car share fleets. I have subscribed.
How do u just do this with your brain?? like all the rewiring stuff and mechanical stuff?? very cool. also loved the gran turismo music, brought back incredible nostalgia. valid cicada hatred and biscoff cake mukbang . most satisfying parts were the headlight cleaning part and the spraynwipe of that feral cupholder.
I always use PlastX headlight polishing compound, clean with alcohol and then Blue Magic. I find it works best if you spread the sealant around with something non absorbent like a rubber glove, and then come back the next day and wipe off the excess
Haven't had any issues with damage other than a couple scratched wheels and things like that, but that's inenivtable anyway. I've had some reliability issues with the cars (mainly the Vectra) but borrowers have been flexible and thankfully nothing major or safety related, they know the cars are cheap and old. Insurance wise, Uber Carshare has a partnership with Mobility Mutal which puts on comprehensive insurance automatically with each booking so that's covered. If you want you can add your own policies as well. As far as I know there's no need to specify that you rent the car out if setting your own additional policy, as whenever it's being rented it's covered by Mobility Mutual. Adding your own policy is just for when it's parked unnattended or for when you want to drive it yourself. Hope that helps
Hey man loved the video :D Also cool to see that hiring nuggets out is profitable and i want to do this as well. A few questions, how long until a car is profitable ( has paid it self off)? Also how are you. hiring out a car that is older than 20 year? i though they had a cap at 20 years old? Keep up the good work man :)
Hey mate, if I do a follow up vid I’ll answer in more detail but I’ll give the basics: 1. Depends on what it cost you, I don’t have any stats for the vectra yet but the Barina is looking like it will have paid for itself by around July-August at current rate, including paying for ongoing running costs (8 months total) 2. Oldest cars allowed on the platform are 2001 so the vectra just scraped in. Yet to see if it being that old affects how many people want to rent it
Leave a comment if you want to see a video on how I set up and manage the cars 🔧

Thanks mate, there’s been a few requests for that update video so I’ll do one once I have a bit more data on this second car
Nice work, it's super satisfying to watch car restorations, even if it's not a massive makeover like you said.
Leaving a comment because I want to see a video on how you set up and manage the cars 🔧😎

Hi mate, what did you use for headlights cleaning? Blue magic headlight sealer and?

good job mate!
How are you insuring your cars? Have you heard of anything going wrong with renters damaging the car etc? Thanks for some great videos
