I wonder why you didn't make it *all* inside Vital? You can add Chorus, OTT, EQ, Distortion and notch there as well! You could use one of the filters as additional distortion, just crank the drive on a low pass while having cutoff all the way up :)
Bitwig user here. Try regular distortion plugin with the eq bell in the highs and mix at 10, 20 % and then add Amp and play with those, i made very heavy sounds with those two using them as if were using Ableton "Pedal" or ableton "Amp"
@@Letsynthesize It's great that you play the sound at every stage and make it clear what each step does - I've seen to many tutorials that fail to do this. I'm gonna try to reproduce this sound with different tools now.
Much love Dan, can't wait to hop on board and try these tips out when I get some free time during Christmas week!
I am glad you dig these! :)

I tried it but the fuzz distortion makes the sound so fat and vital distortion types simply weren't able to bring that quality. It's a shame :(
@@Letsynthesize Thank you for explaining that! I'm gonna pass the info to the developer and maybe Matt's gonna fill that gap in Vital.
@@Letsynthesize yes i tried with no luck, the fuzz is the main component, thank you so much, the phase canceling in mono is a nifty trick
Bass from Phaseone & Kai Wachi-Death Waltz tutorial
That's a good one!
And tipps how i can reproduce the Fuzz effect from the Pedal device without using Ableton? I'm using Bitwig.

Thanks for making good video again!
My pleasure!
Very inspiring tutorial!
Thanks so much!

Here's my take on this (using Surge):

Absolutely LOVE these! More please!!
Yes sir! :)
holy crap that sounds so cool
YEAH :)
This is fucking crazy. Exactly the tutorial I’ve been looking for. Keen to try out that pedal distortion
Thank you! Yeh Pedal is an easily overlooked tool!
Sounds so fat! You are the best Dan!
And you are my favourite follower! :)
Disgusting bass Dan, I love it. Tried using a few of Cubase's stock plugins instead and got some great sounds out of it. Thanks
Great to hear! Yeh! Same technique but different tools - Different sounds!
Oh yeah. big!
changing Serum to Vital? I already
Nice
cool
I find the background music distracting, as it doesn't cut off completely when you play sounds. It's a bit confusing.
It cuts off completely. It can happen that I accidentally miss one or two sounds but I intentionally mute the music when I play sounds

@@Letsynthesize respect!
@@nexusobserve Peace!
@@Letsynthesize I see. Must have been an editing mistake. I though you used a sidechain gate to do this for you automatically!
I also think that most of the work will be executed in Vital.
yeah. Mainly
wow this is cool! thanks for the vid!
i think it'd be cool if you did something inspired by cyberpunk :D
Crazy good idea!!!
@@Letsynthesize i'm looking forward to see what you come up with!
@@davicarvalho6699 me too :D
Vital sounded more fat and better to my ears
Interestingly, I prefer Serum instead.
@@Letsynthesize Maybe you are used to the sound? I've never used Serum
@@kurtosismusic maybe
I feel like vital has more high end while serum is more mid range heavy
Nice
