First one; never sit.. pause, sure, but never stay and sit. You will get citadelled or stuffed with torps. You sit, you die. Second, focus lowest HP ship you see. A 1 HP ship can still kill you. A dead one can't .
Yes but at the same time, you can complete the bar exam before your guns reload again, so if there are other people shooting it, don't waste your shots if they won't get there in time. Also I can tell you from experience this is a great way to make people mad by stealing their kills.
@@nucleus_underfire4666 what the fuck is this logic lmfao I've never once gotten mad at my teammate for helping me shoot someone in a team game. I'm more pissed when they're within range of helping me and are just letting me get shelled to hell while I'm stuck reloading from the guy that's a hair away from death 😂😂
1. use your armor, aka angle against other BBs. 2. look at the map to see if you outnumber the enemy on your flank and be aggressive or cautious accordingly. 3. vary course and speed against everybody, doesnt matter if its a sub, dd, he-spammer or BB. shells that miss, dont do damage. 4. even if you cant pen your targets bow, you probably can still chunk its superstructure for 5-10k with AP, aim above the turret. 5. if you want to play close, use islands, your detectionrange doesnt matter when there is no line of sight.
The training room is a general tip for aiming, I am grinding the French DD line, and the low tiers have abysmal shell velocity. I learned to aim them in the training room. Thank you Training Room and thank you SeaLord.
One more use of the ASW planes is that you can actually use it to "bait" and cancel the enemy CV's fighters if they drop them to spot you. Just place an attack run inside their attack circle, and the fighters will follow it until they're gone together.
I haven’t played in years but the reticle gives you the lead by number of seconds. I forget what each notch means but it’s a number of seconds so you can look at flight time then correspond that to notches on the reticle and be much more consistent instead of eyeballing it
Best video in a while SL,👍👍 a change of pace from "Top 5..." Appreciate emphasis on NOT in a "straight line." I know that I don't use the training room enough, mostly because limited time means I'd rather play the game, but I should be using it more. I also struggle with taking my time at the start, though usually it's to get out on a flank. Not a BB main, but much appreciated.
Excellent advice! The only thing I would add is knowing when to take a shot or having the patience to hold your shot for a better angle or different ship to pop up!
i'd like to see a vid for people like me who want to play random battles and other modes but spend most time in co-op. the gameplay in co-op is charge in full ahead, mainly sink everything. battles are short with salvoes going off (and/or torps) as soon as they're up. a vid of co-op that tells people wanting to play more pvp modes (for example) 'this works in random too but not in ranked' or 'doing this in any pvp mode will get you sunk before you really do any damage', that kind of thing. it might make the first games in random battles (or whatever) a little less frustrating for both the regular players and new ones. doubt it will stop some raging in chat at 'useless team' because they didnt stop and think 'hey a mistake that big maybe they havent played anything but co-op until now'. but we could hope.
Against enemy battleships that can overmatch my bow I've started to angle a bit less in order to bait them into shooting my thicker belt armor. I still take damage, but I'm not eating 5-6k through my bow, so it seems to work for the most part. I'm still doing testing.
You just love to see that one teammate that sails broadside to the entire enemy team, they get sunk, and then are immediately in chat complaining that their team sucks and doesn’t support them.
Pretty good advice except for learning the armor layout of all ships. There is a lot of ship and for a game played for FUN. That’s going a later extra for something that’s only played for short time per day. I just figure what type of ship it is and if my shells penetrate or not I adjust my aim.

Whilst watching I had a thought. Do you know how the AP effects the sub beyond merely the damage itself? Where I am coming from is something that always bugged me about the damage mechanic. I always thought that when you shot, lets say a DD with AP, and you get over-pens in the lower part of the side then you should also be able to cause a flooding. I think that the AP especially when shot at a sub if you get over-pens on a sub you should get a flooding on the sub. I mean if a foot wide shell over-pens, ie goes all the way through, shouldn't that be automatic flooding? You could go further and, since the mechanic would work as I described, block the sub from diving if they have just received an over-pen whilst full surfaced then they can't submerge until that has been taken care of, by time or consumable, since they would automatically start flooding too.
Can you do (or do you already have) a video on how best to use/understand the targeting info in the HUG, the seconds to the left of the reticle, the km to the right and how to use that in conjunction with the hash mark bar that comes up when locked on a ship
There is a difference between taking advantage of Adrenaline Rush and just wasting larges chunks of healing. Yes you get to fire a bit quicker, but what good is that if your ship is sinking to the bottom of the sea? If you see close to your max heal ability in gray, hit that heal button (its not just a streamer issue!).
Tip for US ships for new players don’t show broadside as much because US ships have weak and easy penetration armor but be smart for US battleships they can pack a punch but if you show broadside a lot you can have a critical hit to your ship
Don't shoot to an angled belt The thickness of armo you can overmatch is calculated by X/14.3 where X is your gun caliber If they are angle and you have the overmatch through their nose, it could be a chance to citadel them from it I hope it can help you guy
Too often I find myself the lone battleship on a flank with no one for company but a lone destroyer, a cruiser, a sub and half the enemy team coming to meet me. The cruiser is exterminated first as he's the first thing the enemy sees, the destroyer just belts in high speed to death and glory and the sub just hangs around. If I stay then I'm exterminated next - but if I turn and head towards my team in the centre I feel like I'm letting the cruiser and destroyer down by not supporting them!
I hate when it spawns me on one side with like one cruiser and a DD or something. I immediatley know I am getting focused down. It's tempting to say bye and go to the other side but I still try to stick with those I spawned with
Stay around at the start, to see how many there are, and slowly start retreating once your cruiser is half dead, while still shooting enemies down. Basically, position yourself so that you can escape, but still shoot at the targets to weaken them while retreating.

It is not available to new players- you need to be at a certain access level to see it. It is in the screen where you choose between coop, random, ranked, etc.
I'm not really someone that often plays in smoke but these are tips i can give you: - When you deploy your smoke screen, you are invisible to the enemy team, but you will be unable to spot other ships (except if you happen to have radar or hydro) so best would be to smoke up when you have a allied ship nearby that can spot ships for you in your main battery range. - Know what your smoke firing penalty is. Like let's say when you are smoked up, your smoke firing penalty is 11 km, so make sure you shoot at ships that are out the 11 km range, because if you fire while a enemy ship is in the 11 km range, you will get spotted and most likely you will be focus fired. - Smoke screens are torpedo magnets. Best is if your ship has hydro so when in smoke screen and you know there are ships nearby that has torps, deploy your hydro so you get an early warning for torpedoes heading your way. - when you deploy your smoke screen, don't be stationary so you only have 1 spot, move very slowly instead to make a smoke screen curtain. Because yes you won't be spotted in the smoke, but if you sit still while firing, other ships can see your shells firing out your guns so they can pinpoint where you are and still hit you. So always move a bit back and forth to make your location more unpredictable. - When you deploy your smoke screen, first ask yourself if there are radar ships nearby. Hydro but mainly surveillance radar can still spot you regardless of whether you are in your smoke screen or not. You should pay attention to mainly Russian, American, British and Pan American cruisers since they are always equipped with radar. Pan European dd's got radar as well but they last short and got a short range so be more wary of the cruisers. There are only a handful of bbs that have surveillance radar, like quickly out my head they be constellation, Missouri, Rhode Island and Borodino, there probably more but you gotta look up for that. -and finally don't smoke up when a enemy ship is close to you. You will get spotted soon while you're effectively blind so you give the enemy ship now breathing room and can come up with a way to sink you. Not only did you waste your smoke screen but once you got sunk by him, he'll probably use your smoke screen against your team.
The only thing you can really do, is estimate where their shots are coming from and shoot at the centre of it. If they aren't shooting, the only thing that could help you is Radar support.
