Fun fact: My character has maxed agility and parkour, impact bracer mod in her boots, and has read the book that decreases fall damage when carrying more the $5000. I straight up jumped off the tippy top of that factory and didn't take a lick of damage, lol. Good times.

@@douglaswetak9686 I'm planning to try it without oh shitz when I find Dishong tower in my current random gen world. I'm sure it'll be the same though. I've bailed out of my gyro from high up and was fine. Actually took less (no) damage than I have with a rough landing.
I always max out Parkour. It is my favorite perk in the game!
@@skyefox1910 I've done that but without the book. I took a little damage in health, like 40hp, but didn't break or sprain anything otherwise. The impact mod and max parkour alone makes you survive nearly every drop / jump in the game, and with 200 health 40hp is like a smack from a fat zombie.

Reinforce the floor!!! When you start to use explosives that's always your downfall. Floor gives out then the horde gets under you.

This and ghost town horde every night is two of my favorite series
I did a runthrough similar to this. I put Sledgy right outside the door and then Iron spikes on the other side and had Sledgy just thump them right into the spikes. Softened them up very nicely. I also put a trigger plate on the space right in front of the spike traps and connected it to a dart trap right above the door entrance so the darts shot straight down. Combination of Sledgy pushing them onto the trigger plate = spike damage PLUS dart damage! Worked like a charm!
EDIT: Forgot to mention that I also leveled the roof, left it at cobblestone and put spike traps covering it and on the top rim to take care of any birds. Never had any problems with those.

Not lying, Glock 9 is really the only 7 Days to Die Player i can really watch.
Other player's i watched felt so... Strange? They don't swear and stuff :/ personally, i love/prefer if players swear while playing.
For me it shows they actually like Playing the game.

Maybe you could use sledgie in the horde. Put him at the door once they break the bars and I feel like it would slow them down considerably without them breaking through your walls. Especially since they just walk right through him if he doesn't hit them.
That Shotgun edit was amazing. It’s so strange to see edits like that in a G9 video. Which is exactly why it was so funny.
An idea for you that I think will keep the game from getting stale is doing a horde every 3 nights series. This keeps pressure on you to get ammo and build a base but also gives you off days to do more exploring and have night episodes. For instance when I was playing with friends and we raided the Shamway building we ended up staying the night there and then finishing the next day which you can't really do in a horde every night series.
This also leads me to a series idea. Not sure if you would like it though but I call it Supply Line. The idea is you start in either the far North, South, East or West and from there you must travel to each other direction and establish bases in each direction and the map center. For a base to be considered established you need to defend a horde at it and as the series name implies you will likely make smaller supply bases along the way. Considering the travel time it might be better to use the default 7 days or use 5 days instead of 3.

Glock hear me out... Nightmare Difficulty, Horde every night, same set up as this, but with friends, a group of 4, working on the same base, and if they die, they're out of the game perma, The person at the end gets bragging rights and dubbed the survivalist.

i just looted the same POI myself and i got to the rooftop part at 14:17 and i knew there were zombies because i saw them through the window earlier so what i did was i took a stick of dynamite i got earlier, threw it to where the zombies were and blew up half of them. i may have also blew a sizeable hole into the building as well but you know, collateral damage
Everyday I get back from work, grab something to eat crack open a drink and settle in for the next episode, keep the content rolling this is just great :D

Friend and i have done semi the same design as your base there to hold the horde back. and i can say by now our base have taken 3 demolisher explosions and we still stand tall on day 35. so far this is the best setup we have every done to our horde nights ( we are playing darkness falls )
If you throw a couple camp fires on the ground on the way into your cabin and turn them on before the horde, it's like using molotovs all night but it costs less.

Great episode and I hate to say it but you need to do some mining and maybe put a vault hatch at the door to give you more time or better yet replace the iron bars inside your normal killing area with a vault hatch.

when you can have two turrets, instead of a 2nd junkie. consider adding a nook on the left of your iron bar bottle neck, so you can deploy Sledge there, he'll push off and hit like, every 3rd zombie that gets to the bars and give you more time to do work there. it won't make it a perfect loop or anything. no easy ride for a no fight hoard night. but it'll add time to the clock. and cost less in ammo to supply.
Gotta reinforce the under the floor! Demolisher will make the earth fall from under your feet!

So Glock, I followed your horde base example and its super fun, But dude, The Stun Baton with the Repulsor mod and Nerd Tats Candy..... aoe knockback and Shock damage with that. Funniest thing is seeing the vultures get hit by a charged shot... they shootoff like a 100pound Cannon Charge. Aah Good Times.
