WAYALIFE NEW YEAR KICK OFF RUN Desert Off-Road Rock Crawling Fun in Jeep Wranglers and Gladiators

- Off roading across 100 miles of the Mojave Desert from Boulder City to Laughlin Nevada and in Jeep Wranglers, Jeep Gladiators and even a Ford Bronco, is how Cindy and I and all our friends at WAYALIFE, chose to kick off a New Year of Wheeling! As always, we got to see old mines, breathtaking vistas and played on optional rock obstacles along the way. This is of course a tradition of ours, one that goes back almost three decades now and we've always made it open to all rigs regardless of make, model, door configuration or if it's built up or bone stock. For us, the most important thing is that we do it with our friends both old and new and you know that we always have a great time! We hope that you enjoy seeing all the fun we had and if you weren't able to join us for this run, we hope that you'll be able to join us for the next.

A SUPER BIG THANKS goes out to Mike Pierson, Disciple Off Road, NevadaJohnny, piginajeep, The BAD Influence, GP NOIR, steveb san diego, Blake O, Strainger's Heart, jpkjeep and DirtHeadDavis for helping us out with clips to include in this video.

Eddie and Cindy. Great as always. I'm 52 and finally got a Jeep that I wanted to have since I was 15. Got a 2018 Rubicon used but I love it. Bucket list is to come over there from Florida and see what I'm watching on your videos in person. Maybe one day maybe one day..... Keep you the great work. you inspire me daily. Just wanted to say thanks.
Congratulations on finally getting the Jeep that you've always wanted! It's be great if you could make your way out and wheel with us someday 👍
That sounds like a plan to me.@@wayalife
The 392 couple are super cute.
LOL - yes, Steve and Sharon were super nice 😎
A great time as always and one we are always grateful to attend. Thanks to you and Cindy for all the hard work you do through the year to bring us along and, for including us each new year. Thanks to all those who we met along the way and of course, for being so kind and patient with our furry friend that unexpectedly had to make the journey with us.
Really happy that you were able to join us for this run and that you had a good time 👍
Thank you Eddie and Cindy for an amazing time ❤
Really happy that you were able to join us for this run and that you had a great time. Looking forward to hooking up with you and Jeremy again and hopefully sooner than later.
Absolutely love this channel. Happy to see another long form video and a new trip captured. Truely hope to own a Jeep some day and travel like this a see the nation in this way. Thank you for years of good coverage. I edit so I really love the coverage.
I actually create Content for the Bayeux Vettes channel. A Corvette Clube here in Baton Rouge LA. Having some health challenges with M.S. so had to stop creating but in In-patient therapy and getting stronger every day. So in the hospital watching this at 6am. One of my therapist is a Brinco owner and I was telling her about this channel yesterday. Nothing like it. Thanks.
Truly humbled to hear you enjoy our videos and glad to hear you're getting stronger everyday 👍
Yes 🙌 I’ve been waiting for a video like this from you guys. I really enjoy and love your Off-roading experience runs with new friends and old ones. I was hoping to see some of your old buddies on this run lol I’m talking about Harris I think that was his name. Keep em coming your off-roading videos are my absolute favorite on TH-cam.
Happy to hear you enjoyed the video from our run. It really would have been great to have some of our old friends join us for it but sadly, many of them have moved on to other things and or no longer own Jeeps.
I want to come to one of these so bad! I live all the way across the country and once I get my Wrangler done up a little more, I want to come to a kick off run. I absolutely love that your kick off runs are always super friendly towards new comers and experienced crawlers alike. Here in the southeast, most of our off roading is on mud, snow, and beaches. It makes me happy to see that you were out there spotting people so that everyone could have as much fun as they wanted to have!
Happy to hear you enjoyed the video and we'd love for you to join us if you ever can make it out.
Guess the bronco guy has no bronco friends 😂 good stuff Eddie as usual 👏👏👏 that gator 392 gladiator 👏👏🔥🔥🔥
LOL - what's funny is that we came across another group that day and they were all Toyotas except for one Bronco. Not sure what the deal is but Bob, the owner of the one in our group is a friend.
@@wayalife lol that is funny. Well most jeep people don't care because in the end we all love crawling and off-roading.
I can't wait to my son and I jeeps set up. Keep the videos coming. Love the information and the trips.
Awesome! Glad you enjoyed the video.
I love when you do these events … the obstacles you help people do are easy for you but the smiles it gives others is priceless !!! Good stuff !!! Thanks for sharing …

Great content as always. I enjoy your videos as much as anyone on you tube. Great variety
Happy to hear you enjoyed our video.
Very cool. I enjoy watching your videos and this trip looked like a lot of fun. I've loved Jeeps since I was a kid and I finally at 45 got my Wrangler Rubicon just before Christmas, after working up to it from Cherokee and Grand Cherokee. It is an absolute blast to drive. I've gotten it on the trail for the first time this week and looking forward to many more trails. Keep up the great work. You are an inspiration. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed our video and congratulations to you!
Epic video from an epic weekend! Thanks for a great time Eddie and Cindy… and all that attended! 👍

You guys made it look very easy
Man wish I was back on the West Coast. Ugh, it looks so fun. Great video as always!

@@wayalife Very noted and will do. Thank you!
Love the video thanks Eddie and Cindy.
Glad you enjoyed it
Man I wish I could make it to another one. Definitely the best trip I have ever been on was with you guys !
Would love to have you join us again 👍
Looks like fun and you guys even went to some nice beach. 😻
This run is always a ton of fun and yeah, the beach was along the shores of Lake Mojave it was super nice 😎
Looks like a blast! I'm pretty jealous of you guys down south, up north in Canada I've been dealing with the cold, unexpected repairs, and a ton of maintenance work on my rig. I hope to one day have a chance to take my Jeep down some trails like those in the southwestern US - the scenery is amazingly unique.
The cold can really suck and it's a big part of why we do this down south. Hope you get your repairs done and that you can venture out here some day.
Looks like a really good time.
With good friends, it's always a good time for sure 😎
My Rough Country suspension wouldn't have made it off the pavement! Great Video!! Im jealous from Texas
LOL - would have loved for you to join us just the same.
Awesome video! Great way to start the new year!
So happy to hear you enjoyed the video and yes, always a great way to start the year! :)
My backyard....literally, i probably watched your dust as you headed out. The trails from Nelson to Searchlight are fantastic for people in the Las Vegas area to get away from it all. I take my jeep andkayaks out to burro wash and fire mountain cove to fish
Looks like a fun day! Great video work! 👍🏻❤️🇺🇸
Thank you and yes, it was a fantastic day 😎
Awesome 👌
Glad you enjoyed it!
I'm glad to see you guys getting back to doing the videos on adventures. Don't get me wrong, the tutorials are very helpful but really glad I can get back to web wheeling lol
You two always do amazing videos.
Happy to hear you enjoy our adventure videos and we'll see what we can do about doing more of them.
AWESOME !!! From Caracas, Venezuela.
Glad you enjoyed our video! 😎

Glad you enjoyed seeing all the fun we had 😎
Looks like fun, thank you for sharing. Planning a first trip w/Brother in law in March. Looking for any recommendations, thinking Mohave he has a Raptor & I have a F250.
Anything out in the Mojave is always fun. I hope you guys have a great time.
Fantastic video, looks like a great time! I love the idea of this, such a terrific way to kick off the new year. I'm in the Northeast, I'm so envious of all the beautiful open terrain you have out west. Would love to make it out that way someday in my 4Runner to be the token Toyota, haha.
It would be awesome if you could make it out and join us some day 👍
@@wayalife it would be an amazing trip, I'll have set a goal to make that happen. Also, I just want to say that I really appreciate the way that you always respond to my comments. I imagine you're quite busy, it's really nice that you take the time to do that. I'm sure all your other viewers really appreciate it as well.
@trailrunnah8886 I'll be honest and say that I don't always get to every comment but I do try my hardest 😊
I would love to get in on your next new year kick off run. It looks like an amazing experience. I only have 35’s tho!!
Runs like this are posted on our forum www.wayalife.com/forums/trails-upcoming-events.23/
I would love to attend this. It would be a drive from Portland Oregon but I am up to it.
Well, we do post up runs like this on WAYALIFE.com. Hope you can join us some day.
Nice can an out of towner get in on this the next time. Future planning
For sure! We had people come from as far as Northern California, Utah and even Texas. We'd love to have you join us.
👍👍
Thank you for all of the great content. I was trying to find the video when you bought the 392 in Idaho. What is the dealer name? Really sock of price gouging and want some real pricing and none of this fake market adjustment junk.
This is the video I think you're wanting to see th-cam.com/video/siJWI3ql9ZU/w-d-xo.html
Peterson's in Nampa ID is where we bought our 392. Ask for Kent and please tell him that Eddie sent you 😎
@@wayalife thank you Eddie ✌
Dam, how did I miss this? I live 30 mins away!
We post up runs like this on our WAYALIFE forum www.wayalife.com/forums/trails-upcoming-events.23/
At 10:45 in the vid what light cube is that on the black Gladiator with the strobe? I need them on my JK.
Awesomeness as usual! How do you get invited?
We post up our runs on the wayalife.com forum 👍
What's up man love Your videos I currently have a 2021 6 cylinder Sahara I want to get a Rubicon next with the extreme recon package do you think I should go with a 4 turbo or the same 6 cylinder that I currently have in my Sahara
Me personally, I would get the 3.6L V6 but then, there's nothing wrong with the 2.0L. I'd say to go with whatever deal you can get.
Thanks
Any chance you and Cindy are going to come back to newengland? Like when yall came to that event a few years back
You never know. We tend to go all over the place :)
This is cool! How does one sign up to do this next year?
We post up runs like this on our forum here www.wayalife.com/forums/trails-upcoming-events.23/
Love the content! Keep it coming! I do have a question. I'm a new JL Rubicon owner. I'm planning out my build and was considering a 3.5" lift. I have all stock wheels and suspension at the moment. But, I do know I want to go 3.5" on the lift. Tire size, I'm not 100% sure. Would you think 35s to start then 37s eventually? Also, I was considering Clayton off-road kit or a MetalCloak. I'd love to hear your feedback. With any 3.5", any supporting mods you'd recommend if I also go 35s?
Typically, you start with what tires you want to run and then run the appropriate amount of lift to clear them. And, with 3.5" of lift, I'd say you really want to be running 37's. With that much lift, 35's will make your Jeep look like a roller skate.
@@wayalife ah gotcha! with 37s do you think I will need to regear? I have a Rubicon with 4:10s and I have the 3.6L in a manual transmission.
You'll feel power loss but only you'll be able to determine if it's enough to warrant a regear. If you do regear, 4.88 will bring you back to stock performance.
What size tires were most running. I have a rubicon X-RAY, 2023. Would I have made this?
37's were what most people had but there were people running stock as well. In other words, you would have been fine.
Now that you have had both do you prefer the wrangler or JT? Why?
To be fair, I still own both. As to which I prefer more, that's a hard one. The JT is way more useful to me as it's a truck but a Wrangler is a lot easier to make into a trail rig that can take on the rocks.
😊🎉❤❤❤❤
Happy to see you enjoyed our video from this run 😎
The more I watch your videos and many other channels for that matter, the closer I get to trading my mustang GT and Cherokee Trailhawk for a new Willys wrangler.
What radios are ya'll rocking?
On this run, we were using race radios. That said, most people are moving over to GMRS
How much lift is on that Gladiator of yours?
Hard to say for sure being that it's sitting on coilovers but I'd say maybe 5"-6"
Hey buddy! Do you know interested in a LJ rust free rubicon with 98k miles?
I suppose it depends on how much you're asking and where it's located.
@@wayalife $27,500 and IN
For that price I would want some rust included.
Eddie, Cindy you are amazing, I'm a suscriber from other account (@itorija) from 2007 when we purchasse our Rubicon Jk Jeep, and your videos are amazing, we are from Barcelona (Spain) and next year we travel with our Sprinter 4x4 to make the Panamericana road from Alaska to Ushuaia, we are a nomad family traveling around the world, and we would love to meet you in person, it would be a great pleasure... Congrats for your amazing work!
Really happy to hear you enjoy our videos and have fun on your epic trip!
