Had a C Max diesel last year with 2 cyls misfiring , unplugged and re plugged both injectors ,now running on 3 , checked for codes , showing 1 injector down , replaced injector with genuine new part , re coded , still on 3 , left over weekend, started up , now on 4 cyls , ran for 10 miles smoothly , built up to deliver back to customer, re started again , now on 3 cyls , guy refused to pay for injector , I said no labour charges just pay for the part used , I even had avideo showing no fault codes and running on 4 cyls , wont do any work for him now , great job , it's good when the job allows for the proper diagnosis 👍
Amazing how it can work loose. You'd think something that secure would have chucked a fault when it was fairly new🤔. I get under bonnet connectors get worn etc but one louse pin on the ecu! Amazing fix. 👍🏻
Nice one Steve & thanks for the fault code in big bold text for my dodgy mince pies 🤓. Seeing a lot of loose contact faults on Morden wiring harnesses these days had one recently on a vehicle with only 50 miles on the clock. Keep up the great videos 👍
Great find this was Steve,I’ve had these PCM’s(on transit connects)suffer from water ingress(stupid place to put a PCM)and I thought initially that was going to be your problem, that pin grip issue can easily be over looked and you did well to find it tbh,I should imagine that another tech had been there before you and probed that pin causing the poor contact especially as the sheer bolts hadn’t been sheared off
Hi. You mention that it has short circuit protection? Do you have the DTC in thi case. I got Kuga 2.0 d with dtc on 2. 3. injector. Great video. love it.
Hi Steve, after watching quite a few of your videos I've learned one thing. Never buy a Ford :( My 15 y.o. diesel Kia has given a lot less trouble just the usual wear and tear, clutch, discs, front springs and a couple of refurb injectors.
ha ha if they where that bad, i'd have weekly content, as it is im stuggling at the moment to put videos out....every car has its issues. Thanks for the support and views

Thank you, hot off the press, the job was done today
Great vid keep them vids coming.
Very nice trick Steve, swapping the harness! Ignition on or you had to start the car in order for the ecu to catch the code?
would need to start the engine to see if the code migrated
Nice find, well done you, I did piss me pants at "front probing it" but I am 3, sometimes
love your stuff ! very informative :)
Thanks so much!

When you swapped the connectors, wouldn't there be danger with the wrong cylinder getting fuel at the wrong time?
Quite possibly but in this occasion the fault was flagged key on engine off
