Did you do this because you got the orange check engine light + spark plug / electric problem lights on in the dashboard? If so, do you have to erase the errors after you clean the sensor or do they turn off by themselves? Thanks!
Did you notice any change after that? Im getting some TAC errors (throttle body actuator) and my fuel consumption has gone up after ecu reset (had to disconnect battery) so im looking at all the sensors and what might be the fix
You don't need a specialized spray. A generic (and cheaper) electronic contact cleaner is enough. I personally used the WD40 Specialist contact cleaner and "CRC Contact Cleaner" on my MAF with no problems at all. The only requirement is that it evaporates quickly and leaves no residue behind.
@berg mete I've sprayed half a spray can of it on my MAF's sensing element and the MAF is still doing its job (even better fuel consumption also). It doesn't cool stuff down that much.
Hi there, I don't suppose you've ever had to check the IAT2 sensor have you? Hubby has Dacia Logan 1.5 MCV2 dci. Year 2016, fault code P0096. Just can't find any information on where the sensor is so he can check it... 🤦♀️ thank-you in advance, I've saved this video if he ever needs to find your videos again 🤩
@@TrijalAringali sorry, no we never did find that out.. it ended up going to the garage and the issue was covered and fixed under the extended warranty. Out of interest the diagnostic machine at the Dacia garage gave a different code - theirs was 6 digits. Good luck!
@@karenbeeton510 Thanks for prompt response. I checked at local garage, as per them it should be cleaned or replaced maf sensor only when we get error related to IAT sensor, not sure it's correct info or not but jfyi.
Good video, I would have removed the whole air tube, done it myself and goes effortlessly. Gives us a better view on your work :)
Good idea!..Thank you for your positive cmment!..Cheers!...
Any difference noticed?
i did this to my megane 2 1.5dci right now :)))

There were no error codes just to make sure sensor is clean so it operates properly.
Did you happen to find a fix for this? I have the same issue. Replaced sensor and still getting the error. TIA
You made it looks like very easy task , Thank you very much
You are welcome!..
herhangi bir fark hissettiniz mi arıza ışığı yanıyormuydu?
What is the error code if this is dirty/faulty? I am having a P or DTC010122 error: "Inlet air circuit Signal amplitude > maximum"

Agree with you, also an electrical contact cleaner that does not leave residue will do the job.
Is this cleaning repair lightening indicator icon like diagram?
I don't know what is the warning on your car , user manual of the car must have pictures explanations about it.

@Karen Beeton - Were you able to figure out the location of IAT2 sensor, I am also looking for same information with similar fault code

Merhaba mat sensörü benzinli araçlarda bulunurmu arabada gaz yememe sorunu varda

use balata spray?
I used it too, I think it also works 👍
Never tried, may be?
Thank you very much for this video...
Thank you,..
You are welcome, dear friend!...
Respect!
Thanks.
It is wrong? Is making noise or what?
Remove dust and dirt, sensor works better..
Did you really nead to do that? Wasn't dirty. The car do not look to have more than 100k on it. Was it just to show?
You may be right but is good to be pro-active in doing preventive maintenance...
Please do egr valve
Okey, when I find time for it...:-)
Could’ve just sprayed it into the intake from the filter housing lol
