I do that on MD, Snake-eye ftk and superheavy ftk can either ftk you or if you stop me midway, I can diviate to like 4 or 5 interruptions

One of our locals players pilots the Snake-Eye Volcanic deck in a very competitive scene, and consistently does well with it.
funny that you bring up dubkdad, i hung out with him a ton at my old locals in my old city in 2021-2022 ish, he seemed to be doing well!
That’s nothing. You can also build the deck in a way to make proxy f magician and use barricade borgblocker and a pyro to make blaze fenix and loop it through promethean and zealantis. Combine that with emperor burn and it’s game
Does that version play through hand traps well? I was gonna do the 1 card with geonator but it loses to way too much imo. So I went this route because it lets you set up protection for it, and since I figured I was getting hand trapped often anyway I was gonna have to have other cards to actually play regardless
Decklist?
You don't even need Emperor or any Volcanic in the main. 3x Blaze Fenix is enough. You can play Jet Synchro instead to go for a Baronne route with a better hand. 1st Blaze does 2400 , 2nd does 2700, 3rd does 2700, then finally Agave does 200. If you have Bonefire/Wanted copies you can set them and skip Agave altogether

@@BUNJIN40K it's the typical pure Snake Eye main deck list, nothing more. In the Synchro variant with Jet Synchron, you still play Savage + Baronne. You replace Selene, Accesscode and your choice between Dharc/Knightmare Phoenix with Proxy F + Barricade + Blaze Fenix. In the pure version you get them for free because you have those 3 free slots (Formula, Baronne, Savage).
For the additional option of Agave you typically replace Dharc/Accesscode depending on the version.
The idea behind it is you play regular Snake Eyes, then if you opened a superior hand you can go for an omni negate and attempt the FTK or post-siding if you saw the opponent is on boardbreakers you immediately go for it without the opponent seeing you side extra deck cards or limiting your side deck options. Personally despite Synchro build being my favorite, for this ftk version I would go with pure because extra deck is too tight.

to answer your questions about how often we pull the first turn kill off, it’s about three and 10 games but it’s also pretty easy to go second because of great Inari fire
I actually do it most of the time I open playable. The exceptions are when I botch the line at locals lmao
twitch chat has NOT faced volcanics. a friend of mine plays them and pretty much wins every local he joins

@davecatss6652 couldn't be that bad if it's volcanic doing the killing in a regional. That said, a lot of people who see it blow their hand traps on the snake-eye package, which allows the volcanics to go uninterrupted. I play a deck similar to this and that's generally what happens.

I mean you CAN FTK using a route through Blaze Fenix. I’ve had difficulty getting that off consistently tho.
oh i played something like this too but in the ocg. how nice it is to not have to dedicate spots for Maxx C mini-game and just go full engine
or just play actual non engine, so often in MD do I think "man I'd love to play X board breaker to help me go second", but I don't have room because of the 9 maxx C slots already hogging up space.
Yes Volcanic FTK doesnt always work if interrupted enough but just like he said. You still have some defenses and your opponent is FORCED to win on his turn and otk and clear your whole board.
Worst part? 3 special summones and youre most likely dead if he didnt pull off the ftk regardless.
So usually our oppeonent goes into bp and out emperor and MP2 do their combos.
But at that point theyre already low on LP
Well then on turn 3 its an immediate win. Eaither through bp, spam or Just summoning Volcanic Emperor from grave or hand by banishing 1 blaze accelerator from gy or field. And usually u have 2 in possession.
Theres no way you opponent banishes all your blaze accelerators plus your board.

Reminds me of when people would see a single BLS in a prog deck and immediately go "CHAOS cRiNgE REEEEeee!!", ignoring the 25 cards that are there facilitate Demise Ritual, or the fact that there's literally a higher percentage of Ice Barriers in the deck.

N I think adding 1 Zealantis would be great for breaking board there, especially since FIRE is still the meta (Flamberge / Hiita steal your monster, Zealantis banish effect is really good for that, cz not only summon those stolen monsters back to your field, but also can trigger prom princess in GY)
The trap who tribute the fire monster, and make the damage at the beginning of your turn is the key i think. Would be nice to have red reboot back…
Same idea as slash draw ftk, play the meta engine for the ftk, if it doesnt work you just play with meta engines

Why would you play BLS and Shifter in the same deck. How do you get a LIGHT into the GY?
@nigerianprinceajani couse ill only get to use it if I open it on first 6 cards , other shifters are getting discarded , the way I play ashened is going second , n finishing on my 2nd turn , by the time I m putting monsters in grave shifter is expired , having bls to have that 1 extra summon might be good , I'll try it , I m playing veilers anyway soo
@@RGARDL You don't get what I'm saying. If you use Shifter you won't be able to summon BLS. Running one or the other isn't so bad but what do you do if you draw both?

my pall plays this deck. It's really annoying, because like tear it's more GY oriented.
Weirdly isn't this just FK SE but playing the volcanics so they can FTK? Like the 'main gameplan' is too do volcanic stuff for sure but the reason we don't see pure volcanics doing their thing its just very obvious that the reason this FTK works is because the 'good' engine in FK SE chews through everything and then you do your FTK combo assuming you don't just brick on too many immovable pieces.

You're not wrong. That's pretty much exactly it. Volcanic cards provide a lot of advantage and have strong removal to help play through boards but they lack actual extenders and ways to build your own board so all the roaches and fk cards are helping you do that so the volcanic can do what they wanna do
That’s kind of the unfortunate reality of crazy power creep. But to be fair, this is probably more volcanic cards seeing play in a “viable” deck ever lol
It's a Volcanic deck that can FTK with other Fire support thrown in. Pure Volcanics are already a sound deck just playing the game *without* going for an FTK (have a guy at locals that just eats everyone alive if they don't have the right out at the right time).
yeah its kinda weird not acknowledging the good amount of SN FK in the deck. like sure i wouldnt call it purely a SNFK deck but saying that its NOT one is kinda misleading.
like if i played the snake eyes engine in kash. theres no way you look at that decklist and go 'yup its kash deck'
Unfortunately that's just most meta decks in general. An Engine is always needed to start a gameplan, no matter how small it is
