What I love about this theme is how it stands out as one of the few "heroic" tracks in the entire game. ME2 is a dark and cynical game. Youre working for the bad guys, the council won't help you, most of your old crew arent available, your new squad members are these gritty, broken people who dont even like each other. The rest of that soundtrack lays into the cynical, cyberpunk theme the game gives you. That is....until the final mission and this theme hits. You are reminded this is a Mass Effect game. You are commander Shepard and your crew is the best of the best. Having this song play when you beat all the odds and make sure everyone survives hits so hard, i dont think any other games final mission captured that feeling of accomplishment.
@@singletona082 I think that because of the laziness of developers. They did not maked "what if" for survivors. And in that case You could have Garrus, Thane, Zaeed or Legion on board, but who is going with cover fire? The only Disabled person on this ship who is also the pilot :D
What I love is the fact that ME2 had the music playing in the main menu, and in ME3 you can hear parts of it added to new ones, especially the theme played when The Normandy is fleeing the blast.
that intro sent chills down my spine. this remix captures what that mission felt like to play. the thought that anyone could die, even you, if you make the wrong call. the tenseness, emotion, and nerves. I romanced Tali in 2 and 3, and when she was in that vent, let's just say I was a _very_ motivated vanguard.
One of the single most legendary video game OST in history and it was somehow improved. Can't wait to get home and blast it over my big movie theater quality sound system.
I will never forget my first blind suicide, mission run on the original mass effect to RIP Legion, Thane and Jack you taught me a valuable lesson about upgrading my ship
When I first saw it in the game I thought: "Well, I already died because Normandy couldn't stand them so... This can't be just cosmetics, right?". So I upgraded it. No one dies under my command... Except me, of course.
Only discovered this a few days ago, this is by far the best cover of this song in my opinion. Its grand with its intensity and final act with how powerful the percussion is, the urgency in the strings, the loud and prideful brass, and the choir my god they are angelic. This deserves so much more attention than its getting, keep up the great work dude!!
This was by far one of the most epic end game fights i have ever played. It exudes a very similar feeling to the fight for Kaer Mohren in the Witcher 3, even how you to choose the defenses, and here the teams. That was one of the most satisfying things i have ever experienced and the music was a major part of it. I feel empty after finishing the trilogy (i know i am years late).
This epic music playing in a fight to save the whole galaxy killing your way through with your team at your back, with the voice of Harbinger echoing at you meanwhile is another level of epicness games should aspire to.
Most excellent cover of a most excellent movement! You really capture the grandiosity! I didn't lose anyone on my first blind suicide mission, to my unmitigated pride!
"Human, you've changed nothing. Your species has the attention of those infinitely your greater. That which you know as Reapers are your salvation through destruction." - Harbinger, the leader of the Reapers, to Commander Sheppard as he and his crew successfully managed to narrowly escape the Collector base.
I need to say this cover often cheers me up when i have really bad days. Just for a moment everything stops being impossible. Thanks Jaden for this piece of gold!
The feels😢❤. Mass Effect 2 really is the best out of the trilogy. Amazing characters with their own story arcs. Getting everyone alive through the suicide mission was a hell of a experience!
Conquered Remastered Trilogy in about a week or two because I was hooked after years (2nd time because originals). Thanks to you, I now have waste another week of my life replaying all three games.
I remember my first time running the game. Many things excited me about this mission. I'd been out of gaming for about fifteen years and this was one of the first games I played when I came back. And I realized, I just participated in an epic action movie. It was mine, I did this but it also felt cinematic. It was an eye opener to me to see this sort of thing was possible to do now in a video game. And this music helped call my attention to it
I personally don't want another Mass Effect, as that will ruin Commander Shepard's legacy. However, a Mass Effect show is most welcome, with one of the most intense moments of video game history 🙏🏼
Actually, I'd love to get a fully remastered Mass Effect Original Trilogy. Take all three parts. Port them to Unreal Engine 5.x and push everything to current-gen graphics. Make it ONE massive game with consistent controls and gameplay. Keep the story as it was, but fix some of the issues especially in ME3 (like the endings and the short comings of the last third of that game). Give us more interactions with the crew and squad mates and allow us to fully immerse in that story like it was like 10 to 15 years ago and call it a day. And justice to the Virmire survivor in ME3: more story, more interaction. Make its worth to keep one alive on expense of the other. Give a better conclusion for most of the ME2 cast. You name it. Wish I'd be part of it. I was there all these years ago ;-)
Puedes ser quien quieras, siempre Shepard pero siempre entretenido y divertido de jugar. ¿No pueden aprender de los éxitos? ¿No entienden porqué jugamos a videojuegos?...Gran cover Jaden.
Dude, if they had this playing at the end of Mass Effect 3, my mind would’ve been lobotomized by the level of epic. Somebody mod the game and put this in there somehow, if it’s possible. I’m begging you.
Tackling the Collector Base for the first time, I was so scared of losing so many good squadmates. And I went in without any guide. But I upgraded beforehand, I launched all loyalty missions, and immediately went after the Collectors. Only one didn't make it. I was honestly shocked I pulled it off. And all I had to do was listen.
Playing the three games in the order of pure paragon, mix of paragon and renegade, and pure renegade made me, in my opinion, follow Shepards footsteps. First game, everything looks good, humanity is out on a galactic scale, we have some problems, but nothing major. Game 2, it's more established, we have clear enemies now, we know what they want, what they plan to do. Final game, this is it...life itself hangs in the balance, you can't be kind, you can't show compassion, those concepts won't help you against the reapers... it's all or nothing.

The collectors made 3 mistakes
1. They destroyed the SR-1
2. They stole my crew
3. They got me mad at them
Show them hell commander!!
4. They took Kelly Chambers, our Yeoman waifu
5. They were allied with the Reapers
@@thevladman2000 6. They made me have to interact with Jacob
7. They took Dr. Karin Chakwas and tried to make goo out of her.
My first blind suicide mission and I got the “No one left behind” achievement. Got lucky I guess. No one died.
Likewise.
Lost Jack, Thane, and Garrus. Then found out everyone can survive and started a new playthrough lol

lost thane, jack, garrus, tali, mordin, legion, kasumi, and i think grunt on my first play through it was terrible
You just knew your crew. Inside and out. Because if you do every single step on the mission is obvious!

This is actually a very well thought out take.
Normandy: Upgraded
Squad: Loyal and ready
Collectors: Cooked
Best final mission in all of gaming history!

3:49 perhaps the most epic piece of the whole Mass Effect Trilogy Soundtrack. Brilliant and fascinating. Well done brother!!!!!

Mass effect 2, one of the best rpg games I have ever played. And suicide mission is the peak point
