When I was a kid I had a secret imaginary friend named Susan. One day I told my older sister about my secret friend and how similar we were. She said we should share her. This quickly turned into a fight and she told me that Susan didn’t like me anymore. I was devastated. My sister literally stole my imaginary friend lol.
Soph omg something super similar happened to me except I was the older sister who got jealous but instead of stealing my sister’s I just imagined that I had an imaginary friend and paraded her around to make my sister angry. It worked 😈

also in 1st grade the principal at my school asked us what could be improved about the school and i said to replace all the walkways with swimming pools so we could just swim to class and he just laughed and said "wow, great idea!"

I didn’t have any imaginary friends, I had an imaginary enemy. His name was Mr. Mister and he was super evil and I’d always invent these little challenges for us to do (for example, lining up all the shampoo bottles and knocking them all down with one push like dominoes). He always thought he was super smart but I always beat him and I had this imaginary classroom where all the challenges happened and after every challenge I would get a trophy and we each had a trophy room but mine got so full that we had to start using his trophy room for my trophies
i still don’t know if it came from my competitiveness and love for winning or my deep insecurities and fear of failure 🤷♀️

I had the same idea as a kid except I was competing against many versions of myself from all different dimensions and in one dimension I was kind of a bully I guess? Anyways she was my enemy and she went by the name "Fuchsia."

When I was a kid, my mum would always take a piece of whatever snack I was having and say she was testing it to make sure it was “safe”. So one day, lil me finally got invited to another kid’s birthday party, and they handed me a slice of cake. I then walked up to my mother, in front of all the other parents, and said “Mum, make sure it’s not poisoned!”... Understandably, I didn’t get invited to many more 😅
My dad did the same thing except he did not test for 'safety', he just said i had to pay 'tax' on the food he gave me and took a bit lmao

I used to do this but after the first bite say "oh yeah it's got poison you can't eat this" then proceeded to eat it extremely fast as they watched in horror and confusion. Then when they finally expressed the homicidal rage that was about to be unleashed I'd be like, dude I just saved your freaking life. When I was younger I often saw my mum smack my dad’s butt or the other way around and they told me that it was just a form of a joke. Then, when I was making new friends at a new school I decided that I’d smack their bottom and to make a long story short that did not end well. Thanks mum and dad!

When I was younger sometimes my gran would look after me and my older brother for a couple hours. Whenever we went to her house, for lunch we loved to have those spaghetti noodles for kids? They're by the same brand that do the alphabeti spaghetti. Anyway, me and my brother would always pretend to be baby birds slurping up worms that our parent birds fed to us.
We wouldn't use the spoon, and we'd make chirping noises and everything.

so i wasn’t the brightest child and as a kid i liked to run around with a pillowcase on my head, i’m not sure why but it was my favorite thing. this ultimately ended up in me tripping (because i couldn’t see) and i hit my face on the corner of the radiator in my sisters room. now i have a nice scar and an uneven lip to remind me😂

this is about my cousin rather than me, but when we were young she used to be down right TERRIFIED of the moon !! we would come out of our grandmas during night and she would have to run back in the house and grab a blanket to drape over her so she couldn’t see the moon and the moon couldn’t see her
Same thing with me, in turkish culture the moon is called aydede (moon grandpa) and my mother used to say that if i didn't sleep early the moon grandpa would climb down to earth and take me with him. Scarred for life lmao

When I was pretty little, I remember lying in bed, being very concerned as I sat and thought about the fact that the planet rotates. I was positive that in the middle of the night everything in my room would end up on the ceiling, including me, smashed by my bed, and all my possessions would be broken. Of course, that’s not how things work but it was a big concern for me at the time 😅
KtRosemary sometimes I thought I felt the planet rotating so when I told my mum and she said it was impossible I thought I was special, chosen to save the world from ever stopping. Turns out, I just had anaemia and a low blood pressure 😂

Adele Parli lol me neither, it reminds me of what all the popular girls looked like c. 2014 in my school (yikes). I always thought it was ridiculous and imagined a tiny little goblin nesting inside them that controlled them like in men in black 😂
When I was little (I grew up in Brazil, and down south it can actually snow, but the rest of the country doesn’t get snow at all and since I’m from Rio, it was honestly always hot.) I was obsessed with snow and with the US and stuff, so I got into the bathroom, opened the baby powder (I think that’s the name?) bottle and threw the powder everywhere, trying to cover everything in white. I lied down and tried to make a snow angel (and failed) and made my very curly and very dark hair go gray from the amount of powder that I rubbed in there. When my mom walked in the bathroom (I was always a very quiet kid so nobody suspected anything) she couldn’t even say anything. She asked me what was that and I just replied “it’s snow” in a soft voice because I didn’t think she’d be mad at all lol

I know the feeling...when I was like 10 we had our cousins over for Thanksgiving and we were playing frisbee and my cousin threw it and it hit me in lip so hard that I couldnt eat Thanksgiving dinner
I remember when I was at my cousin's Halloween party and my other cousin shot me in the eye with a nerf gun and gave me a black eye lol
One time our class took a field trip to a camp for three days and there was a field that had a bunch of balls, frisbees and jump ropes. So me and my friend were playing frisbee and I accidentally hit this women in the face (she was fine) and I was just standing there mortified at what just happened so my friend had to apologize for me. Later that day a random frisbee hit me in the face and I got a black eye.

Me and my best friend used to play a game when we were in the playground and it started raining, we would pretend that if we got touched by the water we would turn into mermaids so whenever it rained we had to run below trees so we didn’t get wet. It was the most fun game ever!

When I was a kid I was burning one of those tiny tea leaf candles in my bedroom. Apparently no one had told me that you can’t put out candles with water 🙄 (how would I know) and so I poured some water from my drink bottle onto the candle and the fire jumped onto the vase of flowers sitting next to it 😂 I was SO confused and freaking out like what the heck do I do and why did this happen?! The flame luckily ended up going out on it’s own. Safe to say I never forgot you can’t use water to put out many fires again...

itmesneha I get why you’d think that cos it was my reasoning behind using the water. But hot wax is like a grease fire on a stovetop. The application of water just makes the fire spread to the surrounding area (anything that will burn).

In NYC there used to be a huge toy store... I was in the LEGO section and my WHOLE FAMILY literally walked away without me! I was so scared and I was looking around everywhere! I finally found my family by the build a bear! 😂
When I was little I used to call my soother/pacifier my ‘dodie’.
At my school we had a game called Pepsi Cola. (I don’t know if other schools had this)
It was when we were on a quite flat hill in our field. One person would have to go to the top of the hill whilst everyone else stood at the bottom. The person at the top would then have to shout :
*I am a Rockstar* (you could change rockstar out for anything you wanted)
Then everyone at the bottom of the hill would shout:
*Oh no your not!*
*You must be joking!*
*1 2 3*
*A B C*
*Under over, Pepsi cola!*
And then when you shouted *Pepsi Cola* you had to do a handstand on the hill and the person at the top would pick the person who did the best handstand and then they would get a go at the top.
My school was really weird 😂
We did that! The song was a little different but in the summer we would all bring shorts for under our summer dresses and we loved it!!

I had an imaginary friend when I was younger named M. He was a small little ghost looking thing. He was always so nice. M was basically a ghost with two different sized and colored eyes. He didn't have hair or real arms or legs. He was a literal ghost.
M and I used to play all the time until people got concerned about me. They thought that he was like real for me. He was completely imaginary but still he was a real friend. He was one of my good friends tho

when i was had these little characters and worlds that i would escape to when i was bored (think imaginary friends but there’s these scenarios with them inside your head, so realistic it could be a movie) and i recently realized it hadn’t really stopped since i was a tot. so i looked it up and asked a professional and turns out it’s called maladaptive daydreaming! i still do it and ive seen a lot of people describing it on this comment section so i thought id mention it!
7:31 ok this is creepy. I used to do almost the exact same thing. Minus Frankie lol. Me and my sister called them falling competitions. We would take it in turns creating a character and acting out a scene. The scene would always end with us walking to the edge of the sofa, standing on the arm and falling down dramatically onto the sofa. Then we would vote on which one of us preformed the best. The fact you did a very similar to this has rendered me speechless 😂😂 HOW?!

it was my second year of choir camp, back in 2015- i was 10. i had just met my best friend, somebody who is still one of my best friends to this day. anyways, during polar bear swim (one of the 3 morning activities before breakfast, basically you go down to the lake and swim and normally it's really cold, hence the polar bear part), free time, and at waterfront night we would always go down to the lake and play mermaids together. quite normal, for a 10 year old and almost 10 year old (she was 9 still, birthday's not until october, i still never let go of the fact i'm older than her lol). but, on land when we would take a break to build sandcastles and stuff, she would transform into a fairy, and i would transform into a wizard- she wasn't into harry potter just yet, meanwhile i was starting to get obsessed. it was so much fun, and we would do it no matter what. i remember one day it was cold, probably in the 60s F, and we were the only two at the lake during free time (of course two counselors were there too watching us), and i remember as soon as we got back to the cabin from changing, it started raining, luckily we didn't have to wait outside in the rain for dinner. that was a fun time :D
Man, I was a pretty weird kid too..
When I went to bed I would face the wall, close my eyes and imagine my wall covered in CD's that were numbered 1-30. Every night I would pick one and each one was a different dream.
Can't believe I'm sharing this with the internet.
I used to pretend I had a gardening show when my parents were staying late after church and all of my friends had gone, and I'd dig up the soil from one garden and move it to another and "classify" plants with "scientific names"
