Painting and Assembling a Vintage Dirt Bike - Engine Swapped out of a 200cc Quad.

- Here is the latest video of my 1975 Honda XL125 that I swapped an engine out of a 1987 Honda TRX200SX quad. I disassembled the bike last time, and now, it is time to strip everything down to bare metal, get rid of the rust and then paint.
After the paint dries, I put the bike back together. Will it run?

I like the orange idea!! nice running motor! Keep up the great work!
Thanks. I'm leaning towards the orange right now too.
Great video, I love watching projects like these take form. excited to see you paint up the gas tank
Thanks Jack. I am going to work on the fenders and the side panels first but then I will get to the tank. Stay tuned!!
Great video. You should do some at-home powdercoating sometime for certain parts.
Thanks again!! Glad you liked it. I do powdercoat here and there, just haven't gotten much on video lately. I normally prefer single stage urethane automotive paint over powder coat though cause I can get it a lot shinier than powdercoat. I think I'm going to start using powdercoat on skid plates, shifter, and foot brakes though.
You always have the best ideas for cool stuff!!!!....You got that for $100???.....that is awesome!!
It was just a parted out rolling chassis when I got it. Just the frame, wheels, fork and fender. No seat or tank or engine.
@@BIGFOOTBIKESANDBREWS ahhhh....I see. Looks great now and the upgrade is super cool. I found a Yamaha ATC 200 trimoto and the engine is super heavy. I never thought a 200cc motor would be that insanely heavy. I found two 500cc Honda Rebel motors and they are super heavy as well. I will keep you in the loop my friend.
@@Biokemist-o3k Cool. Trimotos are pretty rare around here. Sounds like fun!
@@BIGFOOTBIKESANDBREWS They are pretty rare nearly everywhere it would seem. I am getting to a point where I am going to have to cast a new bearing holder(swingarm?) I have not been able to find one anywhere.
@@Biokemist-o3k Sounds like fun 😁 Best of luck with your project!
paint it red or whatever the original SX200 colors were.
Ohhh, cool idea!!!!
