I swear, every race that Schippers is in, you hear her name a bajillion times ... and most of the time, she gets so much face time on the camera before a race. Like, you would think she’s the fastest woman in the Universe or greatest athlete of all time as much as I hear commentators say her name .... 😳

And it's the two-time 200m world champion that was being talked about. As good as Jeter was, she got only one gold in the individuals on the world championship stage.

Well, their target audience is British. American announcers do the same thing, as I'm sure announcers/presenters from other nations do as well.
Announcers almost missed accolades due the entire German team. All four, but Rebekka kicked butt. As did Gina.

I have seen China, japan and Poland medal without having the fastest runners. Relays allow good teamwork to shine.
