Hei,if not a secret-what kind of river is this?I live in Stavanger and there are no such rivers nearby and trout very small for size,I practicing catch and release.
What beautiful water to fish fine and far off. The mountains and water reminds me when I spent a week in Stangelle in my uncle’s cabin with my cousin. We rowed across the fiord and hiked to a lake to camp and fish but caught none. I caught one eating sized brown near the cabin and cleaned it and put it in the refrigerator. When my uncle, Andy Bibow Hansen came to check up on us he was furious that we rowed across the fiord. He also read me the riot act about my fish in his ice box. All in all I wish I could go back and fish some river near there and also in Valdres where I stayed with my grandmother for a while in 1979.
I just love how flyfishermen always like to overcomplicate everything. And make every small catch look like an incredible achievement. Good on you lads. As long as you enjoy it :)
I started fly fishing 2 years ago and can't understand why I didn't do it earlier. 35 years of pike and perch fishing in the back and now love fly fishing. Can't wait for the next time I go out. Completely different feeling and you really have to think and learn how the fish behaves and what it eats. Comparing spin fishing and fly fishing is like comparing McDonalds to a gourmet restaurant. 😜 But some people like McDonalds...... 😂 Oh, BTW something I quickly learned by fly fishing is that fish in running water are much stronger than fish in lakes. That's one more thing that makes it more fun. Try it out some time..? 😉
Hello, very nice video with beautiful fishes? When did you make it? Is it in the middle of May already possible to fish with dry flies there? thank you indeed for your answer, best regards Peter
I am planning a month long trip to Norway this September and renting a small van/rv. I want to do some fly fishing along the way. I will need to rent gear and find out where to fish. Can you give me some suggestions? thanks RJ
If you could actually show a diagram of your fly, line set up, that would be great because it’s hard to sometimes understand without actually seeing it. Thank you. Great video!

@@eastcoastdashcamsweden2483 Now add fly-tying to your new hobby and it gets really rewarding!
Great video! Why do you cast downstream please? I always cast upstream when fishing dry fly
@@MrKveite1 thank you!
The downstream quartering presentation prevents the flyline from going over the fish.
Superkul! Längtar!!
When do you know when to reel in the Fish or manually drag in Line by hand?

What reel is on the 4weight rod? Where can I buy this reel?
What river is this?
Hint - If you follow the river downstream it will be called The Queen of rivers and is a very famous Salmon river 👍
