I really look forward to your reviews and enthusiasm regarding everything you are reading or have read. You make me want to pick up everything!! The first science fiction trilogy you discussed looks so interesting, and sci-fi isn't even something I am usually drawn to. Thanks Angie.🏝
I loved The Last Murder at the End of the World too! And I've never heard of The Blighted Stars but I will definitely be checking it out. A couple other favorites I had this summer were The Mona Lisa Vanishes by Nicholas Day and East of Eden by John Steinbeck. I know the second one won't be for everyone, but I thought it was a really well-told story.
I have The City of Mirrors and need to get to that soon. Finally reading The Women and it’s really good! I’ve been looking at The Blighted Stars and have been hesitant about it so good to know you liked the trilogy.
First Lie Wins was a 5 star for me. Just so well constructed. Frozen River is on my shelf. I will read it very soon. A 5 star standout for me this summer was Riley Sager's Middle of the Night. Just a masterpiece of thriller writing. And Jodi Picoult's By Any Other Name. She's my favorite author . Some readers were disappointed that this was so different from her other books but I loved it and I applaud her for stretching her already awesome writing and research skills. Writers are allowed to change things up :)
Oh! I'm currently reading First Lie Wins! I almost gave up on it a third of the way through because I felt like it really wasn't going anywhere, but I'm glad I stuck it out because i'm a little over half way through and am loving it now. I can't wait to see what happens. 👀👀
❤📚❤️ Now I'm adding sci-fi to my list! 😅 I'm almost finished with The Inheritance Games! I'm loving it! I'm starting books two and three immediately! I love Ruth Ware too!
I’ve picked up romance books this summer! Completely new to me but was intrigued when Emily Henry’s Funny Story was compared to New Girl (one of my comfort shows) and Ive read a couple more since. Currently reading Just for the Summer by Abby Jimenez
Oh you have noooooo idea what is coming in the passage trilogy! Wait til you get to The Twelve.....Holy crap sooo good. Ending in city of mirrors is phenomenal as well. Only bad thing is there isn't a 4th book
I’m considering reading this out loud to my husband. It sounds perfect for us! How would the book be rated for content? I prefer to read no more than PG-13 out loud.😊
I just finished The Silent Patient by Alex Michealides. It was so good.
The collected regrets of clover was 5 star for me this summer
I loved that book so much!!

I think I haven’t heard anyone criticize the frozen river!! It was that good!!
Such a good book!
Excited to try some of your favorites. 🏝Iron Flame and Fourth Wing were the best books I read this Summer.
I still need to read those books!!
🏝️ I really enjoyed The Last Murder at the End of the World also!

@@sarahclark3536 questionable based on tolerance for instances of gore/blood and violence. graphic at times.
I agree, there are some rather disturbing descriptions that I would have a tough time reading out loud ... I tend to skim those when reading!
You might like The Death Of Mrs Westaway by Ruth Ware.
I loved that atmosphere of that book but for some reason I saw the twist a mile away ... and I usually don't!
Your the second person who has loved First Lie Wins. I might just have to pick it up, lol.
It is really fun!
