This '67 was refinished in a gorgeous Light Blue Exterior paint color! This Pontiac also sporting 15'' Cragar Wheels with BFGoodrich Radial T/A Tires, a Scooped Hood, Dual Headlights, Door Quarter Vent Windows, Chrome Bumpers, and the Polished Trim all around. Inside, this GTO is sporting a White Interior with Vinyl Upholstery, Black Carpeting, Floor Mats Walnut Woodgrain Dash and Center Console, 3 - Spoke Steering Wheel, Front Bucket Seating, Rear Bench Seating, along with a Spare Tire in the trunk.
Under the hood sits a Pontiac 400ci V8 Engine with a Rochester Quadrajet 4 - Barrel Carburetor sitting on top! Power is put to the pavement through a 1967 TH400 3 Speed Automatic Transmission and a Pontiac Style 10 Bolt Rear End with 3.55:1 Gears and Limited Slip. Driving this GTO is a blast, you can corner with ease with the equipped Power Steering and stopping power is provided by Power Disc Brakes up front and the Power Drum Brakes in the Rear. This car is perhaps the pinnacle of GTO styling, but it is always hard to pick a favorite as they are all stunners. A neighbor had one back in the day, a convertible in this color, dual gate, no air (love the air). I love this car as much as I did back in the 60s.
I love all muscle cars. It was a privilege to grow up when they were new. There is nothing really like them today, especially from a styling standpoint. The GTO was always my favorite as my dad always bought Pontiacs and they were the style leaders at that time. The GTO was always a very complete package. IMHO it was the classiest ride of the muscle car era.
That said, I came to notice and eventually love American Motors. I had hated them in my ignorance but grew to expand my horizon to look more closely into that company. They were much better cars than I thought and along with Pontiac are now my favorite maker. A 1970 Rebel Machine in black would be my first choice. The Machine echos the more spartan, all business style emulated by the Road Runner, which I deeply admire. I have come to know that Plymouth and Dodge copied AM styling, not the other way around.
Such a stunning car, would it be possible to change the radio prior to sending out & doors to suicide doors?
