Considering the Speed is their best selling line, they should bump the Pro to 315 g and offer a Speed Tour with 305 g / 16x20 and a 21-22 mm beam... could be really nice!
I think if they add 5g to the mp it becomes to heavy for advanced girls and gets a bit out of range for many intermediate male players. I feel like the 300g is the perfect weight to cover these players.
Good idea to do separate reviews for each racquet. If you do one review for all the Speeds you won't appear as high up in web searches when someone searches for a specific frame.
@@Tennisnerd I'm not SEO expert but I was searching for Gravity Pro reviews the other day and couldn't see yours on Google. I found it eventually but it was a roundup of Gravity Auxetic frames not the Pro specifically. Not sure but guessing the algorithm didn't like that.
I’ve said it many times, but this line needs a 98 version. It would be almost perfect with a smaller head size to really dial in control. And honestly a 98 16x20 sounds really fun to play with.
@@wackojumey They don’t really feel anything alike to me. There’s definitely a space for the softer more versatile Speed in a 98 and the Radical imo. Honestly, I don’t even know what the Radical is supposed to be any more. Feels something that tries to be 4 different frames in one, but the stiffness makes it awkward at all of them.
the 330 swing weight is a deal breaker for me, the 2002 auxetic was almost perfect as an all round racquet with a 323 swingweight..is 330 the listed swing weight or your assessment?
Hi TN, thanks for all the tennis nerdiness😃 Would love to see your review of the new Angell React MP (Pro) 99, especially since they can’t be tested easily. Keep up the good work!
You’re right, sorry. I guess ideally I’d like to know how the React MP compares to the Blade 100, as the Blade came out as my favorite after a lot of play testing…
Hey Jonas, great review (as always)! Can I ask you: have you ever played the Head Speed Graphene Touch MP and/or Pro? If so, can you comment on them, please? How do they compare to the newer or newest Speed MP or Pro? The Touch was the last Speed with a 22 mm beam and i really liked the paintjob as well ;) I'd be interested in your opinion, if you have played one or both of them. Keep up the good work and thanks in advance.
Hey TN, thanks for the vid. Im looking for a more arm friendly but for advanced players rackets (since I struggle with wrist injury due to hyper mobility). I've been looking into Head Gravity Tour and the Speed MP. I see a lot of good stuff regarding comfort for both, what would you say is the best option? Also, need to look into some good string set ups that help comfort but don't hurt the performance all too much. Coming from Ezone DR98 with RPM Blast. Thanks man!
I've noticed the matte paint gives rackets way more dampened muted feel. Most muted frame i've played with was cv blade that was matte all over. Not sure I like it, in fact I hate it almost :D
Thanks Jonas. You read my mind- was waiting for a review of this racquet. Did you measure the SW in your machine? TW mentions 330 which is much higher than the previous version despite the headline weight and balance being the same. Did you feel the higher SW or do we need to add lead to the hoop? Appreciate your thoughts..
I have the Speed MP 2022 I find I play with more penetration in my shots than when using the Aero 100 sq inch or the Extreme MP so for me that equals more power it also suits my game when I hit through the ball more rather than give it lots of spin on every shop which the Aero and Extreme encourage. The power rating of 500 is high on the scale most Head racquets are below 500. When I have my eye in I feel this racquet is a very powerful and controlled.
Yea imo some players play better with non-spin racket. I cannot end the points quickly when using Pure Aero/Pure Aero Plus, even with all that free depth, because my shots become too loopy.
1:33 Does the 2024 MP also come in black, or is that a different Speed you're showing (left) with the white MP? (Edit) 1:45 It appears it IS an MP (black) But is it the 2023 model?
Pretty worried about dumpening. I do not like yonex one at leat the vcore one as I never tried servo in Percept, I just bought a BOOM PRO 2022 and I like it ... Maybe is worth to have 2 of them if auxetic 2.0 is too muted.
I tried this as my uncle just bought it with nylon strings. Its so much more powerful than my head radical MP... It was so good tonuse and easy to control. Launch angle was much better than radical as well. Im considering getting it
According to Jonas, Sinner uses graphene touch generation of Speed. It is several generations old. I used to have a pair of those back in the day, never understood those too much. Sold without regrets. But Sinner is winning Grand slams with it 😊
Kind of agree... But that's like designing a car around the tyres! I have tried half a dozen rackets in the last year and they all feel like I am wearing a big glove... In the end I have gone back to my old pair of Wilson burn 95 fst with Solinco hyper g in them and nothing touches them IMO.. I know the industry relies on people buying rackets but from a traditional player's pov it's becoming impossible
Amazing review! Im 4.5 -5.0 ntpr, and 42 year old. I Have the speed mp youtek (2013), but really need new racquets. Why do you think head is making everytime speed mp with more swingweight?? Could this higher swingweight affect my 2h backhand? Or affect the really amazing speed of the recquet throught the air (amazing for serve returns)
I have 3 of the 2022 version. All were underspec (around 290g and had lower swingweights) so I've been able to customise and match them all. They are out there....Big brand QC is terrible 😅
@@neertwThat’s why you should go for Yonex instead, you know what they said about Japanese 😅 I ordered an Ezone 100 last year, and it’s 300 g exact when I weighted it,not even a mini gram short/over.

any racquet witht this specification will be nice.

They should just roll the specs back to youtek graphene. Best speed ever
As someone who also hates grip tape with logos, I use a bit of black electric tape and it works perfectly.
Also my go to haha
mine too!
electric tape as base grip ?

Interesting change in swing weight. 323 to 330 is significant.

You might want to try the racquet strung at 52 on the mains and 50 on the crosses it helps with feel, power and control! Just a suggestion my friend.
A 16x20 option would have made me at least demo and possibly purchase. For now, I'll stick with my trio of Auxetics....

Nice, but I wonder how it compares to my new Wilson Shift 315!
That new colorway is just meh :/
How would you compare it to the Dunlop CX400 tour 2022 when it comes to power, control and comfort?
More power and comfort. Less control.
Nice review! Is it easier to swing than Pro Staff 6.1 100 305 g? What can you suggest for easier-to-swing control racket?
How would you compare this racket with gravity mp?
When is the blade V9 coming on the channel. Every pro is using that paint job these days
Maybe in the future they could make a Speed 98 too with a 16x20 21mm ish beam too. Head could use that to compete with the PA98
That's pretty much what the Rad is except for the string pattern....

I think you can feel the ball well; I would say the VDM tech in Yonex racquets is more pronounced.
What would you say if you compare it wilson blade 100 v8?
Speed MP 2024 = More powerful, bigger sweetspot and much less stiff! I'm curious about the new Blade v9 (more stable).

Don't ever give a pure strike to you arm if you care about it. Actually, this might apply to any Babolat.

How about its comparison to Ezone 100?
The more muted feel makes it worse IMHO. Why is there a trend towards more and more dampening? To me, feel is much more important.
With every new generation of racket they keep becoming more and more dampened........ Why?
I think comfort in the age of poly strings has become vital
