    Is this video playing correctly?
    It should be filling the screen without any black borders. This was an issue on a previous video, is it an issue on this video?
    Please let me know

    • @UKDrivingTest
      @UKDrivingTest  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Reg B hmm ok thanks for letting me know.
      I was hoping this would have no black bars at all as the aspect ratios on both my dash cam footage and on the final cut pro file matched.
      On previous issues they did not match which I think was the issue.

    I don’t understand how you don’t have more subscribers. Every time I watch your pass examples I learn so much, much more than all of the other driving channels. Thank you so much for your content and your descriptive commentary throughout the video, I really hope you start to build up the following you deserve.

    Good driving, and the examiner was nice as well.

      Yes I was very pleased with the examiner conduct on this test.
      Not just their marking, as I personally think if something is a fault then mark, just don't fail them for doing 31 in 30. But their conduct, they were very polite and calm.

    That was a really good drive tricky compared to my test route nearly ready for mine also

    • @UKDrivingTest
      @UKDrivingTest  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      yes most of the routes round here are tricky, which is often why people are shocked at how much practice is needed and how much they struggle when learning.
      The average person taking 30 hours is possibly enough in some towns, but not in Crawley.
      I see it as a good thing, if you can drive in Crawley you can pretty much drive anywhere.

      @@UKDrivingTest can see with your videos I'm doing mine in London Croydon next Wednesday

    • @UKDrivingTest
      @UKDrivingTest  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@haydenmoore7324 ah ok, I know Croydon is busier, but when ever I have driven there it fairly similar road layout, as not many complex roundabouts, just lots of traffic lights. So imo Croydon is more of a test of your clutch control and town driving, not much high speed driving.
      So requires good concentration but not like Crawley where every junction is different and you get tested on every time of situation you can imagine.
      Good luck :-)
      p.s. if you ever need to drive in Crawley and need help feel free to write a comment on one of my videos and I will give you my local knowledge advice.

    Good decision of going around the roundabout. If you are not sure or not safe, go in a circle, understand the roundabout, find your lane and make it through.

    • @UKDrivingTest
      @UKDrivingTest  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I know what you mean, but think it is just the fact the road dips down to the side, called the camber, also there are drain cover etc. So all this makes it look like the car wobbles about when getting near the kerb.

  • @crazyaadil
    @crazyaadil 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Surely at 6:20 he could've easily gone? All cars were in the right hand lane. I only say this because I failed my driving test for that which was my only major for undue hesitation, but I thought it was VERY harsh.

    • @UKDrivingTest
      @UKDrivingTest  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Possibly could have gone if he was fast, but not easily gone. The sort of gap an experienced driver may take.
      Difficult to say about your test as each circumstance is different, perhaps the vehicle coming from the right was travelling slower, perhaps it was a busier roundabout and the gap was your golden opportunity.
      Did your instructor sit in on your test, did they record it on their dash cam so they can give you a second opinion.

    • @crazyaadil
      @crazyaadil 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @cocoachica32 He was in the left hand lane and all other cars were in the right hand lane? So I don't understand how that would have slowed him down??

    • @crazyaadil
      @crazyaadil 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@UKDrivingTest Yes, my instructor sat in he said it was also very harsh, only had one small gap but they expected me to go even though my instructor said he wouldn't have gone. I think it mainly came from drivers behind me being frustrated as they always are when they see a learner, even though my instructor thinks I went at the perfect time. Its annoying as my test was in March and ive had exams after so now I have to spend even more money getting used to driving and taking another test

    • @UKDrivingTest
      @UKDrivingTest  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@crazyaadil so did you have to wait a while for the next gap?
      If so that could be why it was a serious, missing that golden opportunity.
      But again quite harsh. Don't let others influence you and make you pull out when you are unsure, better luck next time :-)

    • @crazyaadil
      @crazyaadil 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@UKDrivingTest Thats stupid, I don't get how not trying to take a very risky gap, which even my instructor wouldn't take is missing a 'golden opportunity' which would result in a serious fault. Its all just a big cash grab

    Hi
    Just a question , if somebody’s front half of the car is already over the stop line at traffic light while in queuing traffic ahead also camera at the junction behind then the light changes to red but car has not moved forward just waited until it was green , could this be a red light offence ?

    • @UKDrivingTest
      @UKDrivingTest  ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question, my understanding has always been the red light cameras are motion sensors, so they will active if the light is on red and they sense motion going over the stop line.
      As such if you are ALREADY stopped over the stop light i would not think the camera would activate.
      Can't be 100% sure however.

    If you got asked to pull over on a fairly busy road like those, is it a good idea to put the hazard lights on?

    • @UKDrivingTest
      @UKDrivingTest  ปีที่แล้ว

      no, hazard lights are to warn other road users you are broken down and causing an obstruction.
      Never had a issue NOT using hazard lights when stopping on busier roads, as long as it is safe and legal position, and you are only there for a few seconds, other road users will work it out.

    When stopping on the left on a busy road do h need to do a 6 point check when taking off again???

    • @UKDrivingTest
      @UKDrivingTest  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No you don't, often doing a full 6 point check will effect you ability to move away on a busy road.
      On a busier road priorities the most important checks, which would be generally be middle mirror, right mirror and right blindspot.

    Hi. I just did my theory test I got 44/50 on the multiple choice and the hazard perception I failed with a score of 43 with 1 point to pass. I did some practice and watched your video but overall I wasn't yk confident in this. I'm hoping I can pass next time I do the theory test.

    • @UKDrivingTest
      @UKDrivingTest  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sorry to hear that, always a bit annoying when you are only 1 point away from passing.
      Keep practicing hazard perception. Also the theory questions, have you seen my video on that? 44 is only just a pass, so don't neglect the theory questions, you don't want to pass the hazard perception next time and then fail questions, that happens to quite a few people.

      @@UKDrivingTest I just watched the video very helpful. What do you recommend I do to keep on track and keep everything fresh in my head for the exam. I have got my test at the beginning of August.

    • @UKDrivingTest
      @UKDrivingTest  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@adz3170 If you have learnt the theory stuff effectively it should stay in your head.
      But I would probably suggest doing a mock theory test 2 or 3 times a week to keep it fresh. If you are getting 48 or more out of 50 BRILLIANT! If you are getting less than you need to practice more.
      If you are just guessing the questions then look in the books or search for the subject on google or TH-cam. As mentioned before If you truly understand the question and answer the information should stay in your head.
