After I bake the shells and let them cook; I crunch them a little as I put them in a freezer bag, then when I have several crunched shells in; I roll with a rolling pin. Contains the mess and fills up the bag to take out to the barn.

oh man!! We are being over-run with eggs right now! We already compost them and put them on our garden. Never thought of putting them back to the chickens. Great video!

Sprinkle eggshell powder around tom and peppers to stop blossom end rot. Pumpkins and squash like a lil too after fruit has set. I used to use it for chickens and other animals too. chickens all the time while they're laying but other animals a lil sprinkling on food especially if its a real hot day or other stresser

I bought a cheap coffee grinder that grinds them into a fine powder in seconds, with I then sprinkle over their wet mash in the morning. I only have 8 hens, (2 roosters) so they get spoilt. 😁

I crush the eggs in a soup can and use a honey jar. Not as fancy but it works :)

Hi, Patera. I've read that feeding egg shells to your hens will encourage egg eating. Is this true?

Betta Antee not when the shell are broken up so they are not recognized by the bird
