I have had a passion for repair since I was a child, Many rusty or broken metal tools are often discarded if not restored. Many tools will be reused for use. It is simply sharing skills, or simply entertaining videos. Hope you guys can help me complete this restoration, thanks for watching!

Rolex used this kinda sweep movement, but changed it to ticking Rolex movement with integral bracelet. like SL28 in early Oyster quartz
I was shocked at first when I saw that you wern't using the correct case back remover, and then I saw that the watch was a fake. Makes sense now.

Well, Rolex did make Oysterquartz references of the Datejust and DayDate. However, this is not one of them.

You did a great job but one thing I noticed Is that it has a quartz movement and not an automatic movement in no Rolex has a quartz movement unless it’s old
Never knew Rolex used SL28 movements O.o Maybe its the new Aliexpress line offered by the company as the movement must cost what 45p I would hazard a guess this is a Lixegxgx or whatever its called with a nudge on the printer for the dial which accidentally spelt Rolex out instead, all a big accident yer honour nudge nudge wink wink As a timekeeper the SL28 is pretty reasonable, cheap as chips and should last about 2 years, company that makes the movements offer ticking and sweeping versions too, I bought a pretty naughty Honmin based notSeiko turtle last year which had a sweep second SL28 in.
I know i saw the movement and was like oh cmon this is a piece of shit 😂
