I've learned so much about my ZJ from following your channel. Thank you. You've also emboldened me to do projects I would've never attempted otherwise.
Those LEDs are pretty cool. I just pulled the cluster in my 5.9 as well. My only suggestion would be to use a magnetic screwdriver and possibly even use something to cover the hole in front of the gauge cluster. When you try to put the screws back in, it’s super easy to drop them and they disappear down that hole. ;)
Great video I’ve done so many repairs to my zj from watching your videos you’ve probably saved me thousands in mechanic labor could you make a video changing the light bulbs in the lights on the ceiling the ones you push to come on that would be amazing
Great Video. These ZJs are getting old but they are a great vehicle. I got 180,700 miles on my 96. I take care of her. And yeah, she needs work. But she has never left me high and dry. Ill do all these mods. See how long I can have fun changing her up, and how long she will get me from A to B
Great video, easy to follow, thank you. I need to do this to my 98 ZJ. I have one of the speedometer bulbs burned out on mine anyhow so may as well do the LED swap since I have to take it apart anyhow.
Something else you can do is get a bottle of Testors "Turn Signal Amber" model paint. It is translucent orange. You can use this to redo you gauge needles if they have faded out.
One thing is would like to say is I changed my turn signal bulbs to LED as well. They worked fine for a long time but eventually the right turn was flashing way too fast. Turns out it didn’t like the LED. I put conventional bulbs back in just for the signals and all is good.
Hey bud excellent video!! A lil late to the vid but r the bulbs for the check engine light and e break light the same size as the ones behind the Speedometer?!?
Quick question……the buttons for OD and rear window defrost are NOT illuminating. Not the indicator like that let’s you know they’re on….it’s the button themselves. I took the switch unit out but don’t see any bulbs inside. Are they supposed to pick up light from somewhere else? Thanks!
This is an old vid, but I came in search of bulb type so I can convert my ZJ cluster to LED. I have everything inside and out replaced with LED bulbs except the gauge cluster and instrument console panel. Those are coming next. Thanks for the reminder of 194 bulbs.
I know video couple years old, but with the sockets you have to undo the solder; go to the junk yard and grab a few of the sockets that you can just push the bulb right into. They are interchangeable.

Hi great video I Upgraded my dash lights to the green like yours . Looks great ! I have one problem I have flashers and blinkers ,always ,but when I put my headlights on I lose the dash blinker on both the flashers and turn signals , and I noticed the warning light at the bottom of the cluster gage show "master lighting switch" bulb on . Could the dimmer switch be causing this no dash flasher when the headlights are on thing???.. I am puzzled as to what it could be . Do you have any ideas? All of your videos are very explanatory and understandable !! THANK YOU !!

BARRICADE GARAGE - Mostly stock, a few upgrades, since there aren't many unmolested Orvises around. I watched your video about replacing the headlights, as mine are foggy. I definitely want to get rid of the common "COOLANT SENSOR BAD" problem with the EVIC.
