I think it's a fair product for the money you pay. You couldn't expect much more from a 200 bucks shell. It's waterproof and breathable and that's what I care the most at this price range. Really liked your video 😊
👎I think that the title is too hard and misleading. Many people dont watch the full content and take the tldr message from the title. 👍Thanks for the review 🫡Cool depth and structure
They’ve had some production issues with membrane - thats why this product’s premiere was delayed. Probably they havent corrected everything - they are not advertising this product like their other stuff.
compared to arcteryx made in china/cambodia etc. it's actually a pretty good product if you know you pay only less than half of the price. arc'teryx and carinthia being 550€ + compared to 200€ for the squall. agreed on the size recommendations. my Arcteryx L would be a Squall M what is kinda strange, especially if you know that Helikon Tex recommends size L for europe as size M for the US.
Not even going to watch the video, just wanted to say that I have it and it's great. DO BUY IT. For that price point you get a jacket that actually works, has a membrane with a supposedly higher breathability than others but also generous pit zips (very important) and pockets that you can access while wearing a backpack. And a hood that works pretty well. I didn't find anything comparable at this price point. UF PRO is usually great and makes a rain jacket too, but that's 590€ for some reason ...
My Squall lost its water resistance after short time. Looks like the fabric alone is not waterproof and it is just another jacket with some waterproofing spray/chemical.
The main material is definitely a 100% waterproof membrane. If you get moisture in membrane jackets it's usually either condensation, pinholes or seamtapes coming loose. The outside fabric of membrane jackets can lose the dwr and let the outside fabric soak up water which wont come inside but prevent breathability. The solution would be to renew the dwr using for example nikwax products.
Thanks for this important video I won't buy it for a major reason : the darker areas on shoulders, how can you trust that?! Please, confirm that the darker areas are not waterproof. Thanks again

MTP Goretex jacket cost around 25-50$ and it's pretty good. The only downside is the lack of a hood.

You cannot say "don't buy it", but u can write it to have attention 😅

Да говори ты нормально, все норм))

Ditch the fucking clickbait title and u have a very good, high quality Review

Sizing is problem everytime but their sizing chart is pretty good reference and it seems that most people just dont measure before buying
What do you recommend at that amount of money
Подскажите, любезно, что за рубаха цвета олива с коричневой вставкой на авторе?

About darker areas not being waterproof, I think he said he did not experience any failure in that regard. (9:54)
Excellent video, so much information in 11min.
Breathability wasn't in the video, was it?

Похоже у всех софтшеллов одна и та же проблема с размерной сеткой и длиннющими рукавами.
