i always put a 3rd strap on the back.... short story: many year ago, a road accident had to manuver and went off the road and the bike went over the side of the truck bed... since that day i use a 3rd strap on the back wheel.

Exactly then the bike will fall over because the back tire wasn’t secured, not very good info to tell ppl that the back tire doesn’t need to be tied down…in my opinion
