Mixing, editing, and remixing house tracks is too easy. I want to hear something more challenging like remixing an R&B/Hip-Hop track. Old School R&B that is played by an actual band where the tempo does not stay constant. I want to see some re-editing by making the tempo even throughout the remix then enhance the drums/bass and add another track on top. This is something I've done in MixMeister in the past but have had some issues doing in DJ Studio.
Great tutorial Jack. I love that this company is doing everything to help us understand this app, which for the most part is not to complex but is full of more and more tools and workflows, it is IMO imperative that all users watch them, especially if they are new to the fundamentals. I would have never found so many things without the tutorials.

Two reasons why I’m still doing my re-edits in MixMeister: 1) I can define all beat-markers manually and with confidence, 2) I can add label markers defining phrases.
Hi MidTownJack! Ace video I really like these deep explainers especially where we talk about pre drop hooks, copy paste other parts of tracks and loops. It gave me an idea that I might try to replicate a 4 beat loop,2 beat loop,1 beat loop etc etc shortening it to build drama like you can do on ddjflx 4 etc. I’m guessing this is possible let me know if you’ve done any videos on this. Also is there a way to introduce risers not just at transition but within the song itself?

I dont have Dj Studio. I just Analysing the software I use Abketon 10.. look pretty cool the software dont know is the subscription plan is better or Buy completly
So I'm trying to mash up Missy Elliot Freak on with Dominator (Biscits Max Mylo). The problem I have is after I use AI beat grid, it's not on the first beat of the bar. The moment I move the beat grid marker, it reverts back to manual and the songs don't sync up. Gosh this is frustrating. I know I'm using muscle memory from Ableton for everything, but I am having such a tough time even moving tracks around. Meaning, if I want the first tract to start after the second track, I can't move it. man, it's just little things like this. I bought the software some time back, and I started getting excited with the AI BPM and stem separation, but to actually get things done is not the easiest. Yes, the interface seems simple, but it's far from.
Working on it! We already have a version of DJ.Studio which shows our own phrases. We need to fine-tune that before we can release it. But it's on its way!

To answer the riser part: In the Effects tab you can add white noise automation to any part of the song and make your own risers..

does phrase detection work on serato as well?
Not yet. We hgope to release it before Christmas.
Native phrase detection would be ace. I feel RB sometimes gets it wrong I know we can edit but we are a bit lazy imho😮
We are working on our own phrase detection. It looks pretty good already.

Sorry at the moment the smallest unit we have is a beat. We are making changes to our editor that will support smaller units soon.

This issue is fixed. You can now move the beat markers of AI grids as well.

I found that a real issue in Mixed in Key MashUp
You can micro align the beatgrids. The the beats automatically line up correctly.
How can you straight turn off a transition?
Use a volume swap or grab the end of the transition and drag it to the position where you want to turn it of.
Now just need native phrase detection.

We import the phrase info from your rekordbox integration. Our own detection is now at 80%. As soon as we are at 90% we will release it.
