I feel like a lot of the comments are missing the point of this video. Alopecia is very limiting as far as a range of styles. This video is about facing her fear and embracing a style that was “off limits“ to her. It turned out beautifully and I can’t wait to see more videos like this.
Now that’s skill! It also proves the stylists that take their profession seriously do it for more than just money! This was a confidence boost! I love it!
Traction alopecia is such a beast! And it is so EXPENSIVE to have any results to fix and theres no guarantee to fix it. And many women get it.... LOVE THIS!!! GOOD WORK! And love the work you do!!
I have to find someone like you I have the same problem alopecia traction and it's so depressing and hard to find someone here in Las Vegas who cares about your hair and not just making money off of your problem THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS VIDEO AMEN😥🙏🏿
I love your technique. My daughter used this technique for my bald edges, & this worked great. My fixed edges makes me look a lot better. Honestly, I haven't found a professional hair braided in Riverside California that could do what you taught. Thank you 😊
These comments are crazy on a 8 min video. She knows her struggle & what she's tried & haven't trie & rhe reason for both.. We all have to do what makes us happy & brings us joy.. if shaving it all off works or adding hair works, then good.. thats y there's mltpl methods bc everything is not for everybody. i really just came to say.. Awesome job, she appears to be satisfied
hello! i want to say that the smile of sunshine that i see on her face it is so much more than any other exoression for me, stay Happy Queen! lots of love to you on your journey!
I’ve been covering my alopecia areas like this. I think your technique is much better. Alway, I have a receding hair line in the front and I’m sure this will work as well. Thanks for posting this.
I love that you didnt pull and that is SO IMPORTANT- I will not go back to a person who pulls my hair.... and that is real. If they pull my hair Im out. They will never braid or touch my hair AGAIN!! And I tell them whiule they are doing it of course- "Thats pulling" and they usually say "ah- you tender headed" - im not tender headed. but any where near my sides.... I am not playing!
The glue and the braiding will only make it worse. What she needs is to consult a trichologist, a good one can actually help her regrow the hair and advise on low tension hairstyles. Box braids only make traction alopecia worse and continuously styling the hair like this might make the alopecia irreversible.
Yes, it would, but it also seems like her hair will never grow back. She said, that she had been wanting to wear her hair up in a ponytail but was unable to. So, I concluded she's been wearing her hair down to let it breath and it is not growing back. So she probably figures, what do I have to lose.
God Bless you both! I totally understand. My temple area is thin and I'm sure it is from damn ponytails as a kid!!! Hell, they had the audacity to call me Pebbles on top of it😮 I can't wear my hair back at all, and it is disheartening, to say the least. So, thank you both for this!
I was just wondering how the Boho braids would look with her box braids & you answered it. She looks pretty & pleased. I would love to see how you’d do a full crochet job with boho locs and braids.
Its beautiful ❤ Question: if you put the track in, can the client still oil their scalp or will that loosen them? I'm asking because my scalp gets dry sometimes 😏
Mine are gone like that but my dermatologist said it’s not traction alopecia, but my alopecia stems from my rheumatoid arthritis. It’s frustrating because the rest of my hair is down my back. I’ve thought about shaving it off but I know it will just grow back the same way😢
Hi great work What are the care routines for them when you do their hair? How does the braid hair hold up the the weight and the glue ? Do you have a favorite glue you like to use for these clients?

Amazing work. I will be attempting this myself. Thanks for sharing.

This is why I love doing hair. Transforming lives one hair at a time. Giving the clients what they've never thought they could have
Yes, me too! The money is just a bonus!!
Traction alopecia is such a beast! And it is so EXPENSIVE to have any results to fix and theres no guarantee to fix it. And many women get it.... LOVE THIS!!! GOOD WORK! And love the work you do!!
I have it from going to someone for years who made the bald spots turn into traction

But won't that glue cause more hair loss problem to the thinning hair and edges?
Absolutely
You may add the weave bond protection prior...
Yes but she said she's had this problem for a while. The hair isn't growing back do what you want.

One word.....PRICELESS
Mine are gone like that but my dermatologist said it’s not traction alopecia, but my alopecia stems from my rheumatoid arthritis.
It’s frustrating because the rest of my hair is down my back. I’ve thought about shaving it off but I know it will just grow back the same way😢
