I don’t get why ppl aren’t excited about videos like this... we all know someone suffering from alopecia and the knowledge provided could definitely help! Cousins bravery is amazing and dope!!
I just wanna say that I love to see people who respect hair more than trying to show off their skills. As a former hair braider and family with thinning hair, I love not only your creativity but your love of hair and respect for people. For real, I see why they call you DOPE!
Just because she doesn’t have that much hair it doesn’t mean she can’t have her hair done every client Pana had wasn’t as brave as this one she made it through hair loss and coming there then was brave she could have gotten laughed at but she still went for it!!! #hairlossteam 😊😊😊
Sending my love to Panna’s cousin , I suffered with hair loss in the nape and temples as a teen , it would fall out because of stress. I had a hard childhood and my nervous system would shut down and I suffered with chronic back problems and migraines also . I know how it feels and I want to say stay strong don’t stress you are beautiful . 💕
Thank you both , yes I’m learning how to deal with stress , I sat my ass on someone’s couch lol therapy . God bless no physical manifestations of stress 💕
She’s so pretty! Please thank her for me for allowing you to film this. I suffer from mild alopecia and this video helped ease my fears about getting braids for the first time. Your work is beautiful, as usual Pana!!
My mom struggles with traction alopecia. I have grown her spots through box braiding and crochets. I am a licensed stylist so I tend to use more quality products when washing and conditioning.
My hair was growing back really well with continuously keeping crochet braids in it but then I put a dye in my hair and it’s been all down hill from there, i stopped getting crochet hair after that and it seems to just not have recovered from that, it’s just keeps growing thinning growing thinning and it’s just a continuous cycle, I’ve thought about going back to crochet again but idk we’ll see
I love the fact that she's still able to enjoy hairstyles and lock sooooo amazing!! This was a great video , this video also was able to enlighten me on alopecia.
Her channel taught me how to do my own hair but sad thing is it doesn't last longer than a week and i braid tightly i think it's because i have 4a hair idk
Me as long the hair salons is open back up by June in Jersey I mean I can really get my braids around that time to get them done other than that I've to wear a wig!
Pana you killed it nobody won't notice her alopecia my mom has alopecia the middle of her head hair is gone and so is her edges but she won't let me do this to her head at all all she lets me do her hair is wash it and comb it into a 1 so right now she has 1 braid in her head
I think you are just amazing 🙏🏾 When you finished with her hair, her smile was everything may you continue to use those hands that God have blessed you with. . Stay blessed 🙏🏾
Ok wow you kilt this hairstyle and I can't wait to get my cosmetology license so I can help people like her still feel beautiful because I know losing your hair can be so hard. But having a hair stylist who was well to help her was just so touching
I suffer from alopecia as well. You do amazing work. I have a bit more hair on the sides and back. More of the front of my hair is gone. I use to do the lemonade braids but started wear wigs. I do braid a little tight so I had to stop!!! Keep up the good work. It's inspiring.
OKAY CAUSE ION CARE WHAT ANYONE SAYS THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH HER HAIR YOU GOTTA START OFF SOMEWHERE AND THE OUTCOME AT THE END🙌🏾🙌🏾 JUST LIKE THAT STYLE
I have recently been diagnosed with CCCA. I've gotten braids done where the perimeter was individuals and the center was crocheted to keep the weight off my crown and enable me to still wear it down and have some versatility. I've done this with Senegalese twists.
Gosh, I love her freckles!!! She looks beautiful with her new hair style, but she was beautiful before! With your help, the beauty just shines through without her having to worry about other people's judgments... Love, love, love!
I have been struggling with hair braiding for a long time but I keep trying over and over again because people like Pana who fail but keep trying and become successful. ❤️🥺 Never give up no matter how much you fail because failing and trying again is the beauty.
Awe this is absolutely beautiful!!! I’m 2 almost 3 months postpartum and I got medium knotless box braids just for convenience and protection but even though she has Alopecia the braids still worked! I love everything you represent great job boo🤯👏🏽👌🏽🥰 stay safe and May Allah continue to bless you and yours as well as anyone reading this🤲🏽👑
My mom has birthmarks from head to toe. So she doesn't have a full head of hair. She's been rocking scarves and wigs for a very long time. Once I tried to do a crochet cap but her head was od sensitive for it. The video is actually comforting knowing that my mom is not the only. Beautiful job😍😘
I have CCCA and this video is so freeing. im an hour away from getting knotless braids put up into a bun like this and my anxiety is so real. You are blessed and she is absolutely beautiful and so brave. Thank you for making it known that hair-loss sufferers dont have to hide under wigs. All we deserve versatility and we all deserve to feel beautiful. Thank you.
My moms hair is just like your clients!! Same breakage/ alopecia. This brought tears to my eyes!! You did an amazing job!! I am searching for answers on how to better help my mom with her hair. My mom is tired of wearing wigs and just wants her hair back.
I have that problem too, I went to a hairstylist once, she and her friend stood over me and laugh and smirk at my condition I never went back i felt so ashamed.
that hairstylist was unprofessional and the stylist and her friend acted ignorant and cruel. they should be the ones who felt ashamed not you dear Amanda. I hope you have been able to find someone to respectfully care for you and your hair.
This is how I have to do my hair as I suffer from scarring alopecia 😢 so my crown is like this... The last time I done this style on myself I crotcheted the third row of braids in round my crown so it covered the middle (hope that makes sense)... it definitely worked and I’ll do it again next time 😊 She looked so pleased! Great work 👏🏾👏🏾
Ms O, try using some jbco, mega doo grow grease, prayer, massage daily, and virgin fertilizer. My crown looked like George Jefferson, around 6 months of using this got hair now.
Great work for this alopecia client❗️I usually due Feed-In braids for these type of client and those with thin hair as it’s less tension and weight. 👍🏾
I have clients that are cancer patients that have lost most of their hair..i use a hair net to do crochet braids.within months they have hair....they are so happy now they are not limited to wearing wigs and scarves..😊
Go bald see how u look.... don’t like it then let ur hair grow back out and do it in the summer. If growing back massage scalp daily. Sorry ur experiencing this 😔🤗🤗🤗
You did an AWESOME JOB!!! This gives me the inspiration to tackle my own hair challenges. Thanks for sharing, and tell your cousin I said: "THANK YOU FOR YOUR COURAGE!!! to do this for other women experiencing the same or similar hair concerns." I've been wanting to get braids for quite some time now, and this proves that I can do just that. #MUAH
i swear im waiting to roast the people who say its 'too tIgHT' if it was im sure Pana's cousin would let her know even when my aunt does my hair it might hurt but i wrap my head(lol) and sleep for 2-3 days and my sis would pull off the cap to show so everyone 😂
I love how both you and your cousin are willing to be unapologetically real. You did a fabulous job and your cousin looks beautiful. I think your platform is great because it shows people with diverse hair and unique ways of satisfying whoever may sit on your chair. God only knows who this video may have educated and who this video may have sparked positive ideas in to help others. My hat is off to you and your fam! Keep pushing! Be blessed!!
Pana you did a wonderful job on your cousin's hair. Truly a transformation! I'm glad there are stylists out there such as yourself who really care to help their clients look their best. I now have alopecia on the sides of my head because of a stylist who purposely weakened my hairline by relaxing my edges way too early in the process. I lost my widow's peak and so much hair. But that's a story for another day. I did the big chop 5 years ago and have been wearing my hair natural. But the alopecia remains a problem. I am encouraged when I see videos like this.
You did an amazing job👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾. I had postpartum hair loss too that I'm still dealing with. It can be so disheartening but you made her look great. Thank goodness for competent sensitive and sensible stylist like yourself who can give specialized clients options. Beautiful job for a beautiful client.
You did ur thing Sis! Your cousin reminds me of one of my clients. Its extremely hard to style the hair/braid it w/ this condition. Hair follicle rejuvenation system & Jamaican castor oil w/a soft toothbrush lightly massaging the scalp can help. I hope this video brings more Alopecia clients ur way. Blessings & light.
