  • This is a tour of our very small balcony cabin, #6024, on Holland America Eurodam. I shared this cabin with my son Ben and my daughter Megan. We also give you a look at the cabin my son Andrew shared with my dad, #8108. Note that their cabin was booked as a guaranteed cabin, and they ended up with a very nicely located midship balcony cabin.

There is a drawer in the foot of each bed. Also, there is room for empty luggage under the bed (at least 2 suitcases per bed).

No, there isn't! That drawer was for the cabin attendant to store bedding supplies and behind that, we could only barely fit one suitcase, which we could not access with all three beds out because the beds were too close together.

I can’t believe water and sodas are extra.😊

Those rooms do look small compared to your other recent cruises. So I guess the lack of storage shouldn't suprise me - but it does. Everyone coming on a cruise is going to have a lot of luggage and need a place to put it obviously. Thanks for sharing the cabin tours!

The "boys" could have had the room for 3, and you and Meg in the room for two - that may have worked better for space and you could have had better access to the balcony to film in the morning

Unfortunately, we had no idea that the room was this small ahead of time when we booked it. Megan and I at least take up less overall space than two full-grown men, and I wouldn't want my Dad & Andrew's use of their balcony to be limited either. I wish I could have afforded to pay for a third room so that my boys could share and my dad could have a room to himself, but that was way out of my budget! It's really just a warning to people with more than two in their party - your access to your balcony will be limited on this ship!

I think she you split the beds, it makes the room look smaller, but bad there are no drawers!

Disney Verandah cabins are not 3 times that spacewhat those are. I'd say they're about 20-25% bigger.

Actually, this cabin was 174 square feet and our last cabin on Disney was 268 square feet, so Disney is 43% bigger. In this room on Eurodam, there was nowhere to sit when the sofa bed was out (except on the beds) and we could barely stand or walk or get between the beds. Because the sofa bed folded out across the entire width of the room and totally blocked the balcony door, we lost our access to the desk, refrigerator, and balcony for most of the cruise. A key difference is that Disney's 3rd and 4th beds are turned sideways/perpendicular to the main bed, so you still have access to the balcony, desk/vanity, and refrigerator, as well as plenty of floor space to move around. Cabins on Disney also have MUCH more storage!

All cabins are small I don't care what cruise you are on. At least the cabin had a sofa, some have chairs and that's all. I wish you would have pointed the camera down on cabin 6024 when on the balcony to see if any lifeboats were obstructing the view below. You were so out of breath, that was all I heard mostly annoying. Luggage goes under the beds for storage and out of the way. If you want another bed, the overhead beds are better for kids or get another cabin. Holland AMerica doesn't let a person bring on water or pop, just wine or champagne (750ml)

This was my 10th cruise and by far the smallest cabin I have ever had. There were no upper berths and I was already paying for two cabins as we were a party of five; I could not afford three cabins, one of which would have been paying double occupancy for a person alone. These beds had storage cabinets for bedding underneath them, and were all so close together that it was very difficult to fit the suitcases under them. Check out the later videos when the sofa bed was open and you'll see how badly it blocked off the far side of the room. I've never had that issue with any other cabin configuration.

Yes, there is a upper berth room. You have to get a ocean view room I know that for a fact because I just got off a cruise with Holland America and I stayed in Ocean view room when picking a room with Holland America if you go on the website, it shows each floor and it shows the abbreviation and what the rooms have to offer. You have to take your time and look carefully. You put your suitcases underneath the bed, and there are more drawers to underneath the bed you pull them out they roll out.

When you booking a room for three people, there they do show the square footage of a room. You would just have to pick a larger room and pay more money.
