Looked like a great place to visit its been my list. We waited & were lucky to see one shuttle launch from Jetty Park they get cancelled many times due to weather it as loud very exciting like one big party in the park. We were able to see it go up then the clouds blocked it but was still worth the hours waiting.

I think it's funny (in a good way) when you start spouting out facts and I just think how you are so smart you know so much about everything!! You have a great memory too!

Whew! Crazy! You wanted a nice weekend getaway and got a load of stress! One of my kids attends a big football university and hotel rooms are insane when there is a home game.

I think it's good you got your money back and I do think it's bc corporate made them. I think it's rude af that they couldn't show any interest in the experience you had as their guest. You were trying to be discrete but they work there, they need to ask questions to get to the bottom of what's going on and at least try to make efforts to accomidate you. The lady at the first hotel comes off as not caring at all, she doesn't even attempt to understand any details or offer any help or empathy

Wow! That was a long night. Sorry you went through that. I would’ve done the same except perhaps I would have tried to take a picture in the room to show them. If I had thought of it of course! I had an issue at a Hilton property in New York. The front desk actually gave a key to our room (thankful my son and husband were there) to a guest (a man). My son and husband were getting me coffee downstairs as I was showering…my son caught this man about to enter the room. I heard my son say very loudly… “no man-my mom is in there…don’t touch that door”. He was just 18. My husband came up a minute or two later and we got a free night ($600). This guy was so confused…I hope he also got a free night. I peeped out and saw my son talking to him. He looked like a corporate guest-there in business probably. I never opened the door. I was just getting out of a shower!!!! That would’ve been horrible. So - my son saved me that day…and maybe saved this man from getting kicked very hard. 😂

I think its great advice you gave that you must go to higher up the chain to get a resolution. Things do happen of & hotels should want your repeat business so should be trying to help people t that level. Our worse hotel stay was we flew to Miami 11 years ago to take a cruise the next morning had never been there hotel prices were very high. We picked a hotel it had a person still taking you up the elevator it was that old. It had chopped hallways like you went down a hall up a few stairs to get to room very strange. The room had bare basics I mean no artwork no bedside clock no coffee maker I think a clean plate & cup I mean it was a stark hospital or prison room very strange. So we went back & complained they gave us another room that was not much better but we stayed this was before we had cell phones we booked everything by computer back then & had no idea in that big city on where to go. We never asked for them to refund us but it turned out we were never charged for our stay some glitch who knows but that was a plus.

These were really good tips like studying the map & looking at the App ahead of time. Plan to bring the grandkids in a year or 2 so lots of research for m to do. Its been many years since I have see Disney & my mobility isn't great 1 knee replaced already & the other one just got x-rayed so see how that goes dang I am only 62 but we will get there lol

I have an honest suggestion though; once you explain a situation (where to find sets at fast food places for example) you do not need to repeat it 3-4 times more, especially at the end of the example. We get the idea. As a high school teacher of many years, we tend to lose listeners after the second repeat anyway. However, awesome vid.

Great explanation of your charges. We have had the dining plan previously and found it less expensive to just pay as we go since I don't eat as much as the dining plan offered. I did have fun with the dining plan when we did have it as I would order the most expensive item from the menu that I would like to try. This was back in 2010 when the tip was also included in the dining plan. We were also able to use two sit down meals for a dinner show or Cinderella's castle, so we did that too.

I’m going through and watching your old Lives and thought I’d just say hello. :) I enjoy your honesty … too many big channels are all rainbows and sunshine and they NEVER discuss how much anything costs and never seem to have to plan and save to afford anything.

We are not surprised with the results here. We have definitely saved money by buying food out of pocket vs. when we had the dining plan. Years ago, we used to go in the fall every year and they offered free dining plan when you book a week stay at a WDW hotel with park tickets - we did that a few times. And that was really nice. That hasn't been offered in some time though (that I am aware of). But paying for the dining plan is not generally a good deal. Thanks for sharing this helpful information!

Looks like a fun day at Animal Kingdom. I am going to miss the Dinosaur ride. I might not miss Dinoland that much. I do get the story they were trying to tell - and I didn't hate the land. But I am ready for new stuff there. But I do enjoy Dinosaur. We have never tried Yak & Yeti. I have always heard good things about it though. It is always sad when a place you liked in the past is disappointing on a return visit. Thanks for taking us along to Animal Kingdom!

That looks like so much fun. I would have been disappointed to miss the parade and treats too.

Commissary, Pizza Rizzo, and Backlot express right next to Star Tours are all inside and have a/c.

This was great to see the difference Heather I think I would eat similar 1 fast meal & 1 sit down meal per day.

I didn't know that you hadn't been to MNSSHP. I am glad you are planning to go again next year. I totally get why you prioritized the rides under the circumstances. But I feel like you will love the parade and the Hocus Pocus show and treats and fireworks - and trick or treating even. We usually ride very few rides once the party actually starts. Tron sounds uncomfortable. I am not sure I will ever try that one though Jack is encouraging me to try it out. Thanks for taking us along for the party!

Lovely to see yall enjoying a day at my favorite park at Walt Disney World. Journey of Water is a nice addition to the park. They created a really beautiful space there. We have never eaten at San Angel Inn. (We have eaten at the quick service place in Mexico and liked it all right.) Anyway, your food all looked good so I would like to check out San Angel Inn some day. Thanks for sharing your day at Epcot with us!

I laughed at Megan’s three pictures on EE … my kids were 18 and 21 on our last trip to WDW and did the same thing on EE! Single rider for the win!

I’ve always liked Animal Kingdom. There is so much to see if you don’t like rides.
