As an 2025 M440i owner for one month I agree with everything in this video. It is amazing in the gas mileage department. I have driven the car exclusively around town (no highways) and have gotten about 26.5 mpg. I have never had a vehicle with that combination of performance and efficiency. Amazing!
@@BrianMakse For comparison my wife has a 2024 Genesis G70 3.3. It's performance is in the same league as the M440 and it is quite a nice "luxury"car. But it can barely eke out 20 mpg when driving around town.
Congrats on the car! Can you comment on how the ride is? I had a 21 m440xi, loved everything about it except for the stiff ride. It was beautiful on smooth pavement but otherwise it was too stiff for me. I ordered the 25 model but convertible this time and with adaptive suspension. Placed the order back in march and im still waiting on an allocation 😢
@@blackjack21477 I really haven't driven it on rough roads but as you mentioned it is very sedate and comfortable on smooth roads, Those bumps and potholes that I have hit have not seemed to be too bad but you have to expect a somewhat firm suspension in a performance sport coupe. I'm kind of used to a stiff suspension as I also have a Boxster and you can feel every road imperfection in that vehicle
Monday, picked up my factory ordered Individual Rosso Corsa 2025 M440i xDrive coupé. Perhaps the finest car I’ve ever owned (over these past 56 years of driving).

@blackjack21477 i didn't get the adaptive suspension but it rides very good. Highway is perfect and bumpy roads are pretty good. No rattling or bad feeling from the car at all. I have same 19's in the video but i have the all season run flat tires. They are very good and grippy. Avoid any pot hole at all costs. I hit 1 so far and it did not feel well at all. Im definitely worried about blowing a tire or getting a bubble on the side wall. Always but tire plan. Good luck
@@blackjack21477 the ride. As you know, you can select modes eco, comfort, sport. I prefer sport. Tight suspension and steering, quicker response on the gas’s pedal, firmer overall suspension. The optional adaptive suspension does amazing job navigating over irregular road surfaces. Just got back from a trek through the Blue Ridge, curvy mountain roads, with not always the best surface quality, steep climbs and descents, the M440i handled all comfortably, and I was always at ease with the ride. Enjoy your car. It took 4 months for mine from order to delivery, but getting exactly the car I wanted is totally worth it.
I am so glad I found your channel. You actually talk in real world, have track experience and race (I track too just HPDE stuff)...so hearing you describe everything etc I can relate. Thanks!
I've driven a 2025 440i convertible for 40 days now, 2,500 miles and averaged 24 mpg. On one 400 mile highway trip in Eco Pro I averaged 33 mpg. It all depends on how heavy footed one drives the car. I love the vehicle!
I have a 2025 M440i xDrive on order and love seeing reviews like this. I've driven company cars (like Ford Escape class) for 20 years as a sales rep and can't wait to have a personal vehicle I enjoy driving!
I'm not a fan of screens that are stuck on top of the dashboard however I quickly grew accustomed to the screen in my 2025 M440i because it works so well and when you sit in front of it, it just seems right.
i ordered mine a couple weeks ago and i am beyond excited!!! .. mineral white with the jet black wheels shadow package carbon fiber package carbon fiber trim and the same leather interior I mean this thing is packed and fully loaded .. the only option i really wanted that for some reason is not available in the U.S. are the glass controls no idea why they’re not available to us. … I do have a very silly question though… i have been seeing these cars in reviews with and without M side panel badges .. i live in new york will mine include with the M sides panel badges? .. great review!!!
@@BrianMakse hey man thanks for getting back to me. .. i do want them on my car i was just wondering why some came with them and i saw others on other reviews without them.. its just odd to me

Hi Brian, I’m cross shopping this against 2025 M2 manual. Do you think the M2 could perform well as a daily driver during a cold/snowy Canadian winter with a good set of winter tires? I’d prefer an M2 manual (same $ as m440i) but not if it couldn’t handle the winter. Current car is a 2012 Mazdaspeed3.
Toronto winters no prob at all. Other parts of the country tbd. Traction control is quite good on the M2 and with proper tires it would be a blast. Deep snow would be your only challenge.
I have a 2018 M2 and in Calgary. I have been my M2 every winter since. With winter tires it fine for most winter days. On snow days it is okay as long you’re not getting more than 3 inches of snow. There is probably 7 days during a Calgary winter where I cannot drive it. I also have the DCT transmission. I do put a couple of sand bags in the trunk to give the rear some added traction. Good luck
My 2024 M240i has the same B58 engine and performance, a more classic front grille design, the same impeccable quality, and costs thousands of dollars less.
Thanks, Steve! I did touch on that when it was first introduced, but in short it has a positive feel unlike many other electronic shifter cars and it cleans up the console a bit. It’s clear they spent a lot of time making it right. Now, I’m accustomed to it and I don’t even think about it.

And thinking back to the old days 26 mpg is about what I used to get with my 56 horsepower 1968 VW beetle.!

All Canadian G22 M440i have been mild hybrid. It is not new to MY2025 LCI. My wife's MY2022 has mild hybrid on it.
How stable is the car in high speeds? i.e. steering dead zone and everything. Does it feel extremely comfortable, stable and safe?
Excellent. Very planted.

Iirc BMW includes maintenance for the initial warranty period.

The m440 in the states has always been a mild hybrid.
Beautiful car!
Yes indeed!
Last time I was this early, BMW still offered these with three pedals.
Ha! They did put a stick in the Z4 for 2025. That has to count for something!
I guess I'm one of the only 10% who would only buy that car in a manual.
I think it’s single digits, which is why they don’t offer them. Plus, the manual in the M4 isn’t great…
Great review. Long time BMW owner, but will not be buying anything with those buck teeth.
Glad you enjoyed. I think the aftermarket may have some solutions.
M240i then. I've had one for almost a year, very similar, and just as awesome.
