As a result of the cast of characters getting larger and the team behind Inside Out 2 did quite well in trying to give each emotion a somewhat equal amount of screentime, I have to agree that Envy or Jealousy should have played a larger role. As someone in early adulthood, I'm definitely and sure that some others are too, feeling a lot more envious or jealous of my peers. I also agree that when children will inevitably watch this movie, I can only imagine children who may have been excited or hopeful to grow up will have their imaginations or aspirations about growing up crushed after the "grow up feel less joy line" and will now probably never want to get older or perceive the adults or older peers in their lives as always being miserable or depressed. I understand why that scene was written into the film, but you're right, the impact of this film on children can be taken the wrong way or be too mature for children to understand just yet.

Yeah. I just feel that children are getting a bit lost in the shuffle these days, and not enough people are showing concern over it.

Overall, I think Pixar's golden age is over now that the industry is gradually abandoning photorealism in favor of a more stylized blend of 2D and 3D. However, I think Inside Out can replace Toy Story as Pixar's flagship franchise. But they definitely need to adapt.

It's hard to say what will happen. I just hope this doesn't inspire them to start making unnecessary and unneeded sequels.

I am excited for Pixar's future. Incredibles 3 is definitely an interesting idea, and I'm excited to see what that is. Especially after how bad Incredibles 2 was. As for Toy Story 5, it looks like it will fix Toy Story 4's awful ending. Besides, they're still making more originals. And aside from Luca, they haven't made a good original since Coco. So, I don't blame Pixar for wanting to do sequels.

Well, we'll just have to wait and see how it goes.
