As an American I love this jet and they thought outside the box and you cant get mad at that, definitely a beautiful piece of engineering, I respect all countries jets

I love all jet fighter planes i dont care where it came from as long as it's a jet fighter.
Forward Swept Wings is excellent for high maneuverability but sacrifices top speed. I think this plane is best at defense to intercept planes in a dog fight using their superior agility.
ITS THE OPPOSITE, BUT POWER CONSUMING, IF A BATTERY SYSTEM WAS FITTED FOR THE CONTROLS , IT COULD EASILY PASS 2.2 MACH, , WHEN YOU GO FOR MANEUVERBLITY, IT BURNS FUEL LIKE HELL TO STABLIZE, WHEN SPEED IT HAS TO DEAL WITH DRAG BETTER AN EXTRA WING SLANTING UP IS PUT AT TAIL WOULD HAVE SOLVED THE ISSUE.
The problem with that is that the Mig-31 is a dedicated interceptor and far more suited to that roll with it's extreme high altitude, huge long range radar and high speed.
Not do much "out of the box", The Americans had their X29 forward swept wing aircraft, and back in the sixties Gerry Anderson had forward swept wings on his Thunderbird Two.
@@paulmarchant9231 it's not out of the box, no. Even the x29 isn't the first but it is the first real forward swept wing fighter jet. (I think) No the x29 was not a fighter jet, it was a test bed with no real combat capability
It's a shame that this aircraft wasn't able to be reach the mass production, although, it's quite popular on the media, specially on Ace Combat videogames which it has a huge participation.
The Berkut is one of my favorite fighter jets ever based off of its tech and pure beauty in design. I had no idea that only 1 was currently in service in Soviet Russia. It's really sad.
I think the swept forward configuration should be implemented in the design of some future successor to the SU-25 since good maneuverability at low speeds would be so advantageous for a CAS warplane.
Su-47 might not to be continued for production, but it was built for experimental... I don't think the Russian disappointed with the Su-47, they just find a way to spent their money on something they need to learn to avoid, but definitely not regretting it...
First time i saw SU47 i couldnt belive it. I kn tht us tried it way back and droped it. This is a beauty and works but that was in the era of dogfights and no longrange rockets. Or reliebly ones. Impressive work. 👍 Dung
Thinking out of the box? Hmm look up X-29 that NASA was flying. It wasn't exactly something that hadn't already been tried.

So is the X-29. US could have build the Forward Swept Wing X-29 but they didnt too. Forward Swept Wing developed by US is so good that the Russians copy and tested it.
It was a copy of German prototype. Both Soviet and US got their hands on the planes after WW2 and both used that plane as a base to make new planes. X29 was US attempt and Su47 was USSRs. So no USSR didn't Copy US. USSR and US both copied the Germans.
It may have super maneuverability, but that really isn't useful going forward. Sure, it is cool and would be arguably the best thing to have if there WERE dogfights anymore, but there aren't. If there is a dogfight in modern jets, then they have failed as a pilot. Especially in the most modern vehicles such as the F-22 and F-35.
No I do not that’s a stupid question itself but when you try to talk another language and you can hardly understand them then that’s a big difference but least he try’s

Dung your english has really improved! Well done!
I love the SU-47. It's great to see some "out of the box" thinking and not just doing what everyone else has.

I appreciate your English. Thank you for taking the time :)
Such a good job you have done Dung. Until my video has end here! Thanks for all your research 😍
Finally, No robo vioce. This is much better.
Hey Dung, thanks for keeping the great videos going after having to narrate yourself. You are doing a great job friend.

OMG ! Mr Dung Tran himself doing the voiceover!. Kudos.

To me, Berkut is the Sexiest Russian's War Plane that I never forget
More like to me a copy x-29

The U.S. also investigated the forward-swept wing idea in the Grumman X-29 experimental craft. It remained experimental only.
One day when the USA and RUSSIA are working together, I would like to see the SU47 fitted with F22 engines, the test results may surprise everyone.
I LIKED IT, MOVE FORWARD BRO....
Thank y0u :)
Good video

I used to play this plane in Ace Combat 3.
The Grumman X-29 also had forward swept wings, but was much further removed from a viable fighter, rather it was just a test vehicle.
That's where the Russians got the idea for the SU-47
Like ur vid wanna see more

Nice to hear your voice ! Even your accent is not perfect you try, and will improve 👍
We understand. It's the essencial.
Su 47 an improved copy of the x29
Such a weird bird
Hey Dung Tran How about land based missile system like BAL-E coastal system or Ukraine's Neptune Missile launcher
Waaaooo Amezing 👏👏👏
Love Russia 👑☝

Excuse me Bastila??
Dung, your English really improved! I'm starting to understand it now.
Maybe a video about the F-35?
The most evil looking fighter jet in the world

Go make a plane video in Mandarin
Would love to see it built again
